Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum has various aspects of Physics covered with natural progression kept in mind. There are specific elements which require a lot of written work which is unnecessary considering the nature of the course but the number of such tasks is small. The difficulty level of the exams was moderate to hard with nothing out of the syllabus

Internships Opportunities

1

For science subjects, the regualr recruiters nclude names like IISERS, IIT research labs, DRDO projects. We recently had BARC proffesional come into out college to give science students exposure to opportunities they have to offer

Placement Experience

2

the college has an active placement cell however we as science kids do not rely on it much as it is majorly commerce dominated. There isnt much placement or internship recognition for science kids but it is acitvely improving with more professionals gracing our college campus with new opporunities every now and then.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee is 77,405 which is 25,635 annualy. The one time admission fee is 500, Registration fee is 2000, Caution money is 500 and laboratory fee is 2500. Along with ths some other charged including ID-cards cost up to 1500

Campus Life

4

I have yet ot experience the highlight of SVC, that is NEXUS. However the other events I have attended and been a part of so far have been nice and interactive. Every detail is managed by the students and althought there usually are multiple management hurdles along the way, the overall event always turns out to be energizing and fun

Hostel Facilities

3

According to my peers, the hostel rooms are decently spacious with all the basic ameneties covered. The meals are also good. One of the major downsides of the college hostel is its acute accomodation capacity. Only 2 students from each course and eyar are allotted the hostel.

Admission

I applied to Thapar(TIET), SNU, Manipal as the major colleges. I got offer letter from all three but decided SVC post CUET results as the course was more to my linking and the location of my next best option, TIET was Patiala, which I wasnt very enthusiastic about

Faculty

4

We have 4 main faculty teachers per semester for a student bodt of 40 kids. The teachers migth seem intimitading at first but gradually become approachable. The entire teaching staff is highly educated and are proffesionals in their respective fields, which makes them great for discussions and interactions

Interview Experience

5

There are no personal interviews or Group discussions part of the collefe admission process. The only determinant is your CUET marks. The CUET exam was moderate for PCM subjects with one-downside of having too many questions for the 1 hour time limit for MATHEMATICS

Night Life

4

Since I am not a hostel kid, i dont usually stay around the college area during nigh time. However what i have heard from others, it is a lively place, with the south campus student hub, Satya niketan right in the front of the college campus. The locality is usually safe to be around during night time, with the area around dotted with embassies and other important offices.

Companies that visit are Bain and Co., Urban Clap etc. average package is around 5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree are getting into a master's programme and pursuing research.
