Great facilities

Likes

The commerce faculty is very good. The teachers are very helpful and teach very well.
The canteen has a wide variety of foods to choose from
The college has a lot of extracurriculars

Dislikes

The time table can be made in a better way as sometimes the gap between too classes is a lot
The wifi is a little slow within the college
More seating arrangements can be made in the reading room

The clubs and societies of the college like enactus
The like minded crowd of venky is the best thing
The canteen food is super tasty and clean mess area

Dislikes

I love the faculty so much, lovely professor
IM IN LOVE WITH VENKY FEAST NEXUS, LOVE LOVE
The ground is massive in area, can't handle the beauty of it

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very fair and shows equal opportunity for all the courses and never ever disapointed us in a manner that we will go unplaced by the college, they will support us in bad time as well, the average package of the colege is even 7 lakhs and highest is 50 lakhs.

My experience as a first year at Sri Venkateswara College

Likes

I liked the crowd of sri Venkateswara College
The teaching faculty is great and give great guidance
I really like the competitive culture of this college it encourages me to compete

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old and there are many scribbles on the benches and walls
There are not enough hostel seats, from what I have heard only 4 students can get seats from each course

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college provides with good understanding of core commerce subjects like Financial Accounting, business organisation management and business law. The curriculum is quite relevant to real-world applications. As I'm part of two societies finance and investment cell and enactus, financial and managerial knowledge is really applicable in these societies. I believe incorporating more modern technical tools into the teaching methods would make us even more industry-ready.

Likes

I like my teachers, some of them are great and teach with conceptual clarity.
I like the kind of crowd that we are surrounded with.

Dislikes

I dislike the slow administration process of our college

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements on the 3rd year, we have decent placement opportunities but not the best, highest package is around 15 lakhs. Companies that visit are Bain and Co., Urban Clap etc. average package is around 5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree are getting into a master's programme and pursuing research.

Sri Venkateswara College Review

I really liked how the environment of the college is, people are from all different backgrounds of India expressing multiple cultures and characteristics
I also like the area the college is in, nearby to local shops and accessibility is also good due to a metro station nearby
The faculty of the college is really good, being highly professional and experienced in teaching

Dislikes

The time table for my course lacks productivity due to long breaks between classes, overall reducing the productive time of the day

There are good placements in college by the dedicated cell called the placement cell. It connects students and companies for placement opportunities. Almost all courses have the availability to apply for different placements

SVC- the SRCC of South Campus

Likes

The college has a very distinguished and reputed faculty known for its commendable academic research.
SVC is known for its vibrant extra curricular culture, fests and the amazing location it is located in.
My college also has the best and smooth administration working tirelessly for the smooth functioning of the college.

Dislikes

The college has an amazing placement record but the amount of companies coming every year, gets a bit uncertain and changes.

Placement Experience:

As I have also told before, SVC has a well proven good placement records with Big 4 firms coming almost every year in college. There are also other big names like coming for placement drive alsmog every year. The placement cell is well functioning and the recruitment process is very smooth. The college also has a very good Alumini base in almost every top firm, making it very crucial for placements.

Supportive and approachable faculty, active student societies, good exposure through events and competitions and green campus

Dislikes

Infrastructure could be improved in a few areas and administrative process can sometimes be slow

Placements at the college are moderate and fairly decent for commerce courses. Students usually become eligible for placements in the final year. The average package is around 5-6 LPA with higher packages for a few profiles. A good number of students get placed while others opt for higher studies or professional courses

They get eligible after 6th semester and companies like Bcg Deloitte come and offer packages the highest package was around 28 lakh last year and average was 8 Lakh and i plan to not sit for placements and prepare for cat

Yes we do have a dedicated placement cell. Companies like deloitte, KPMG, PwC, accenture, DE shaw are where students get placements successfully. Average package is 5.5 lakh to 6 lakh and highest package is 21.5 LPA

The quality of education provided is great and the faculty is incredibly well-read and experienced. All my experiences so far have been great. The plethora of opportunities provided here is also quite extensive.

Students are eligible for placement opportunities starting from the 5th semester, and we do get quite a number of companies coming here for the placement season. The placement season goes on for a year, with ample opportunities for everyone considering the student's skill set.

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
