Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would read the course curriculum as moderately, comprehensive, but limited in terms of year-old relevance. The breath of topics and statistics in mathematics is academically strong, particularly for building the theoretical foundation, which was one of the reasons I chose the course however, in terms of practical and industry read the curriculum does not sufficiently prepare students for the real world. The syllabus remains the theoretical and is heavily focused on proofs, many of which have limited direct applicability in today's technology driven and data Centre job market

Internships Opportunities

4

SVC obviously provides a lot of internship opportunities. The placement cell of our College is constantly updating on the group about the new opportunities that have come across their way. For example, they recently came up with an internship opportunity for Smapit,Reslink Energy,Headsup corporation etc

Placement Experience

4

Sri Venkateswara College does have an active placement cell that engages with the companies to bring the recruitment opportunities to campus for undergraduate classes. Average package has been 5.5 lakhs and the highest package has gone up to 22 lakhs per annum number of Offer as per 2025 is 213 and 44 companies had visited, including Deloitte and Accenture. The college also frequently organises internship, fairs and events where students can connect with companies for short-term and project based roles internship participation tends to be stronger than formal placements, and many student secured internships that later help them in full-time job sectors

Fees and Financial Aid

during my undergraduate studies in statistics at Sri Venkateswara College University of Delhi, I paid approximately 26,000 per academic year towards institutional fees. This amount included tuition fee, admission and registration charges, development fee, laboratory fee, applicable to science courses, examination fee, student welfare, and library charges along with the refundable caution security deposit. The overall fee structure at the University of Delhi has shown a gradual upward trend over the years due to revisions in University level charges and development related components. However, during my year of admission, the total payable fees for remain close to 23,000 annually.

Campus Life

4

my overall campus life at this college has been very lively, enriching and well balanced between academics and extra curricular. I love how the college has numerous society to choose from. I am personally a part of three societies and I love organising the college events and being part of it. Participating in the activities helped me build confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills. I had a great time making friends at the very first College event that was Jalsa.

Admission

I chose Sri Venkateswara College primarily because of its strong academic reputation, particularly in science and owners programs. Another important factor was the campus environment and infrastructure. The college has a large well maintained campus with good laboratories classrooms, library facilities and open spaces, creating a conducive atmosphere for both academic focus and personal growth. Additionally, SC offers an active campus life with numerous societies, competitions and inter College events.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio at Sri Venkateswara College is fairly balanced which allows for meaningful academic contraction. The faculty student relationship is cordial, respectful and highly approachable. Professors are open to addressing doubts during and after class on a personal note, I found Mr Mukti Shukla to be an exceptional faculty member, he taught calculus in the first M and is currently teaching me algebra and the second semester he's teaching style emphasises deep conceptual clarity and ensures that every student in the class understands the topic being taught.

Interview Experience

4

no, I did not give any kind of interview or any kind of group discussion before my admission, but I did give 1 entrance exam CUET on the basis of which I was allotted this college in my second round . I had joined a coaching to prepare for my CUET examination.

Night Life

5

The area around the campus offers decent night life options, especially because of its proximity to South Delhi popular nearby areas such as Satya Niketan there are almost all the food outlets that you can think of in Satan Niketan from Pizza Hut, Sandoz Belgian waffles to dohful cookies. I have been to Priya that is in Vasant Vihar, which is one of my favourite hangout spots around college

the college has an active placement cell however we as science kids do not rely on it much as it is majorly commerce dominated. There isnt much placement or internship recognition for science kids but it is acitvely improving with more professionals gracing our college campus with new opporunities every now and then.
