My College Life at Hansraj College

The course that i had opt for is one of the best courses available at the college itself It brings more experience and lessons for the science students and provides them with right learnings and practicals to be better in their area and to have the right knowledge These teachings were very elaborated and explained thoroughly. And the difficulty level of exams used to be somewhere between mid to a bit hard level.

There were several internship clubs and societies as well who used to bring such internships and placements to college Also college authorites used to invite several campus placements organisations for the placement rounds

The general tution fees per year used to be around a sum of 25000 INR in total. And for some reserved categories the fees was around 15 to 20 thousand INR per year. Scholarship opportunities are provided as well on merit and exam score basis. Hostel facilities were also provided on a merit basis every year and some seats were reserved as well the the other categories except general. There used to be an additional fee to be paid each semester for practical and theory end sem exams It used to range in between around 1.5 - 2 k per semester. And cost of the books isn't covered in the tution fees. Students need to get their own ones.

Confluence was the annual fest and other departments used to celebrate their own fest as well within an year Their was a wide range of books and journals provided as well within the libraries And well developed classrooms with proper labrooms and pc labs were there as well Sports competitions used to take place as well every year Many different societies and clubs are there as well tp be joined

I had applied to other Du north Campus college as well Such as Kirori mal, ramjas, SGTB and venkateshwar College as well. But out of all these colleges the course i opt at mine was the top rated course in whole DU at my college So my preference was with Hansraj only first of all And also the environment of the course was really good. For admissions you have to go through Cuet and clear that in order to get admission The minimum cutoff for my course would be around 500/600 to get hansraj for a general category student

The faculty at college their strength estimates around 200-300 staff members in total including the professors, lab assistants and other faculty members. And the students estimated around 10000 in total So the ratio would be like 1:20 approx The faculties i had known were the Science faculty and commerce faculty All the teachers were really good in their communication and friendly with students as well. Even they were very helpful and supportive towards students. Every semester their used to be an exam of 6-7 subjects out of which 3 used to be core subjects and the rest ones electives

Gym facilities were provided as well which costed around 800 per month Library was well developed and closing off used to begin at 5pm And by 8pm cllg used to be completely shut off for all the students 8am used to be the in timings And nearby spots include kamla nagar market, vijay nagar and hudson lane for recreation purposes
