Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course Curricular is extensive and rigourous. Requires regular studying. It ishighly relevant as it offers valuable insights on how to utilise theoretical knowledge in the real sense. Practical Applications through Mathematical justifications of the Social Science we all know as Economics has a lot of scope. Curriculum is still taught in a very traditional way, which could be improved and made more interactive..

Internships Opportunities

5

I have not yet had the opportunity to get an internship through college since I am a First year student. But I have heard the Placement Cell offers a great platform to get internships. Highest Stipend for Internships was 1.2 LPA.

Placement Experience

4

Placements at Ramjas are quite competitive and are at par with other major colleges at University of Delhi. Highest package to be offered at Ramjas in the previous academic year was 24 LPA. Placements are spread across various sectors. Consulting, Finance, Tax and Audit are some of the major ones to name some. Average Package is at 7.5 LPA where as Median Package stands at 6 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee structure for the course BA (Hons.) Economics at Ramjas College, University of Delhi is Rs. 16,098 /- This includes various funds for students like ECA, Fests and other facilities. Financial Aids are available to students under Financial Scheme.

Campus Life

5

Infrastructure could be improved substantially. There is a plethora of Clubs, Societies to join. It helps to build confidence, develop essential soft skills as well as technical skills. Socially, Fests at Ramjas is something I have not yet experienced. Society Events are successful and a load of fun. Ramjas Economic Review is the only Student Run Economic Journal that makes it an amazing platform for students.

Admission

The admission to Ramjas College happened through the Common University Entrance Test or more commonly known as CUET. Not just Ramjas but the various other colleges that are part of Delhi University fall under this Entrance Examination. CUET Scores serve as the only parameter for admission on the basis of Cut-Offs released in subsequent Allocation Rounds. Ramjas was one of my top choices because of its reputed image in Economics particularly and also otherwise because of its long legacy.

Faculty

5

Faculty from Economics Department at Ramjas College is extremely inviting. Good Teachers that make learning complex topics simpler. Insightful Course in all. They are dedicated and hardworking individuals. They inform in time about classes so as to not waste students' time. Understanding of various situations. Always motivating to build ourselves in various other doamins apart from academics.

Night Life

1

North Campus is famous for all the hangout spots. Tom Uncle Maggi Point, Coffee/Tea kiosks and so much more. Furthermore, GTB Nagar boasts Hudson Lane which is famous for cute cafes with great food. Night time is not preferrable to hangout but early evening is suitable.

Placement Experience:

As i'm a 1st year student I'm not very into placements as my course is BA and irrespective of the college very few students are able to get placement for having a BA degree but I've heard from seniors and read some reports after doing some research that Ur able to be in the placement after ur 5th sem , furthermore the courses which usually gets the placement involves B.COM , BA Economics hons , BA Pol Science and History hons in NITI AAYOG or for BSC. I think Mathematics or statistics hons caters to the placement part the highest placement last year was 36.50 LPA offered while the average was 10.40 LPA which is seemingly impressive though there's a 90% placement rate in BCOm which is one of the highest in entire DU and more than 50% of ECO hons students too get placed while a few from POLSCience AND history too gets placed as societies have played an imp role too mainly by the DISHA one which offers valuable internships .... well my plan after getting a degree is a secret which I'M not comfortable in sharing so I hope u respect that but my friends in the same course plans to opt for Higher studies i.e MA then maybe PHD , ya others are planning for typical govt . exams thinking that they would clear UPSC . all the best to them the companies which I heard from seniors who were placed that came to college was ACCENTURE , DELOITTE , KPMG AND ig HDFC too was there ...

St. Stephen's College has a placement cell called the Campus Placement Cell which facilitates the placement and internship process. There are many companies like Bain and Co, Accenture, Salesforce, JP Morgan, DeShaw, McKinsey and Co, HUL, Deutsche Bank etc. The average base pay package is around Rs. 9.3 LPA. Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well defined and comprehensive. The St. Stephen's College is ranked by NIRF as one of the top colleges in India for B.Sc and B.A Hons. in various subjects. The course curriculum changes every few years so that the students are getting the latest knowledge. Exams are held time-to-time in every semester and the difficulty level of exams is not very hard, it's moderate. One thing I do not like is that even after paying such high fees for tuition, we also have to pay 2500-3000rs per exam as exam fees.
