Course Curriculum Overview

3

My reason for choosing economics honours was that it's considered to be among the best course in Delhi University. But in reality there are some downsides as well. You cannot engage yourself in lot of other extra curricular activities and internships as the curriculum forces you to study and Attend classes a lot and it could have been more practical Oriented rather than theoretical which it is currently.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are various internship opportunities curated by our placement cell like summer internships and off seasonal companies also in various roles like finance , digital marketing and business development.

Placement Experience

3

There is an active placement cell in ramjas College which taps different internships and job opportunities from the college. Average package is around 6,00,000 per annum from our college and placement scene is quite decent, not so much great opportunities but yes good ones.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 15,498 rupees during my addmissoo in the college and for the second year I paif 15,323 rupees so the fees doesn't increase and remains stable more or less. Rest I'm not aware of any other thing asked about any category, financial aid or scholarship or anything else.

Campus Life

3

The overall campus life is quite good and it's not just about what's inside the college but also since it lies in north campus the surrounding area's vibes also matter. Clubs and societies are active in college and they help you to make networks and in skill building as well that helps in real life. People are also good.

Admission

Admission process in Delhi University is through CUET entrance examination only and there is cutoff that is set for a particular course in each college and then according to our preference sheet and cut-off clearance, we make it to the colleges. I chose this college because I got it, i couldn't clear cut-off for a better college.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio in a combined course class is around 1:100 and there are some good and some really strict faculties but overall it's a good mix. There are usually 2-3 internal examination tests in a semester and one viva the end. Some teachers give assignments but usually they don't.

Night Life

4

There are great hangout spots in college like like we've a main playground that's the gossip area for everyone. It's very big so students usually go and hangout there. There are other small garden type areas as well with benches and sudama chai and tom uncle maggie , hunger pangs and manchanda (for cold coffe) after college is a must.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

The course curriculum is highly relevant and well-structured. It covers core subjects in detail along with modern industry-oriented topics. The balance between theory and practical learning is good, which helps students build strong concepts and job-ready skills for the future.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
