Fees and Financial Aid

I am studying B.A. (Hons) English at Daulat Ram College, Delhi University. The yearly fee for this course is around ?32,100 which is higher compared to some other DU colleges offering the same course. The fee is paid every year and remains almost the same throughout all four years of the programme. The total fee for the four-year course comes to approximately ?1.28 lakh. This total includes tuition fees, admission and registration charges, development fees, library fees, and other compulsory college expenses. The fee structure is the same for all categories, with a slight relaxation provided to categories like obc,st,sc Kashmiri migrants and students under the PwD category. Various scholarship schemes are available for students, such as merit-cum-means scholarships, Delhi University scholarships, and different central or state government scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Students can apply for these after registering on the respective official portals.

See in my course, students are not that much focused on placement! They are more focused on things like upsc, govt jobs, academics, professors, further MBA! So I do not know about the placement culture! But for someone who wants placement in GIS field there is a placement cell for geography department as well!

If seen, students become eligible for placement sitting in the third year but there are many types of internships in the post second year which you can do. The college has its own placement cell, you can join it and from there you can stay connected with the placements. There are many companies which visit the college. Job fairs are also organised in the college. Many companies, international and national, visit. Along with this, education fairs are also organised inside the college campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement is decent, not extraordinary. The average package is around 4.5-5 LPA, and the highest is around 21LPA. Students become eligible during their final year. The companies that have visited are EY, Wipro, DE Shaw & Co., Deloitte, etc. Decent number of students don't sit for placements or choose higher studies instead. As for me, I plan to do an MBA after graduation.
