Course Curriculum Overview

5

My course was one of the most-sought after courses back in 2013, as it was designed by FMS and had an entirely different admission process unlike regular courses like B.com or Eco (H). There was an aptitude test, followed by a GD and a PI and then the final list will be consisting of marks from these three stages and the score of 12th standard. Course was structured very adoitly and included a wholesome picture of the management and research field. We were taught tax, economics, data and analytics, organizational behavior, law, finance, and many other subjects which helped us undestand the functionality of organizations.

Placement Experience

3

There was a separate placement cell for students which was able to bring some decent companies during the placement season to the college. The average package that was offered during my time was INR 2.5L per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for a year was approximately INR 8500. My course was a three-year programme, so in total my parents paid INR 25,500 for my graudation. I don't have any details pertaining to scholarship as I wasn't eligible for it. The fees remained more or less the same throughout the programme duration, so I couldn't see any difference in the fee structure.

Campus Life

4

My overall campus experience was good, as the location of the college was really good. Right next to CVS was Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, and near to the college was Select City Walk Mall, and other places including Hauz Khas Village, Saket, and Malviya Nager Market. College was well connected to a metro station and plenty of street food options available in close proximity to the college. However, the college festival could have been improved and organized on a large scale with some more activities.

Admission

I did apply to some of the renowned colleges of Delhi university, however, I specifically wanted to pursue BMS which was offered by 6 colleges back in 2013. Based on the final marks list for BMS, I had a chance to take admission in any one of the four colleges, and I specifically selected CVS, owing to the number of total seats it had for BMS which were 300.

Faculty

4

Faculty was really professional and well educated. They were approachable and were always eager to help their students. Some of the the names I can recall are Aakanksha, Amogh, and Ruchi, primarily because of their approach to impart knowlege. My course was a three-year programme, split into 6 semesters of 6 months each (Jul-Dec, Jan-Jun). Exams were usually conducted at the end of each semester (in May-Jun, and Nov-Dec)

Interview Experience

3

Yes, my course specifically included an aptitude test, followed by a group discussion, and a personal interview round. I cleared the aptitude test which was really challenging, and then got eligible to appear in the GD, post which I was called for the interview round.

Night Life

3

College had a cafeteria and a huge football ground where games including volleyball, badminton, cricket, football, could be played. College used to organize competitions as well for students. There were plenty of options near college to hang out at including select city walk and garden of five sences and south campus was just 15 mins away from the college

The college has its own placement committee called Pathway. Its a student led body and everyone has the chance to join it in college. There are some conditions you have to fulfill and then you become eligible for the placements. Mainly complete atleast 5th sem with minimum cgpa. Companies like McKinsey, BCG, TOI etc are regularly available for students in our campus. Around 70% students get placed but mainly students opt for off campus placements. I personally want to pursue further studies and I am trying my luck there.
