Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers are really well qualified but due to the new education policy, the seven subjects that we study makes a lot of chaos in time table and timing of the classes class starts from 8:30 in the morning to 3:30 in the evening.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 11775 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is actually quite reasonable just like all the other colleges of Delhi university. In 1st for B.A (hons.) it was 12,830 and in it was 11,775 for the same course. Nsp schlorships are available but the college does not offer any scholarship of its own.

Campus Life

Last year our fest was cancelled of haven't got to experience fest of this college. Although socities do have their fests and events at regular interval of time . College lacks a lot in sports facilities. Thiers if no proper facilities of Basketball court, Badminton court, table teenis, etc. Socitoes of this college is the best thing about this college

Admission

To take admission in this college you need to give CUET common University entrance exam . The eligibility criteria is that you need to take one language and three domains in order totake admission in B.A Honours, B. A programme and b. Com (prog).the application form can be found on nta website and you need to be really aware of what's going on around the Cuet examination through news and YouTube. reservation quotas are given to SCs, STs, OBCs as well as EWS in Delhi University the cutoffs are comparatively low as compared to general category. if we are talking about college then the college infrastructure is really poor and teachers though are really qualified don't take classes on time the colleges image outside is really good but the ground reality is something very very different from the image it has maintained outside . Sport facilities are poor there is no basketball court, tennis court and any other sports facility. Culutural socities are really good and wins a lot of prizes.

Likes

Personally I like my college's environment. It's so friendly and cooperative.
It's an all girls college so it's so comfortable as it is away from male gaze.
I highly do recommend this college for study and personal growth.

Dislikes

I somewhat dislike it's canteen. The food is not as good as our expectations.
The prices in canteen is very high with low quality food.
I dislike the thing that a few professors favour some fix students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yeah the curriculum here is so strong, it's student friendly and ability enhancement. The courses offer here are relevant and can be applicable in our day to day lives. It gives us insight into ourselves.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

College crowd is very active and diverse, giving opportunity to learn and explore.
Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

College provides a free environment for sports.
It is ragging free college and many anti ragging laws are here
One of the best features of our college is it in origanising seminar time to time.

Dislikes

There is a issue in time table uncertain classes are a problem for us
So high attendance criteria makes us in trouble.
There are not hostal facility which make a critical situation.

I chose the course because I want to become ias.approximately 100students in class . . Many proofesser are highly educated like PhD ma etc our faculty offers many opportunities.There are 6 semester in 3 years and 2 in each year .it is normal to crack the exam but hard to get High marks

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.

My experience as a first year student in CVS, DU

I applied to this college because I was very intrigued by the course that I'm pursuing which Is human resource management. And Cvs is the only college providing this course in Delhi University Apart from applying for vocational courses at this college, i applied to other DU colleges providing Be.el.ed. And as my admission process was done through csas portal, my first choice for the courses I wanted to do my grad in was HRM itself, and I was alloted my first preference in the first round of csas and therefore I freezed it. The current admission process is great as you justhave to fill your course preferences in numerical order of how likely you want them to be alloted and then the round wise counselling begin.
