The College of Vocational Studies Honest Review

Likes

All the College societies are very active.
The environment is amazing and people from diverse culture are present.
Faculty is well trained for some courses like BMS, Eco Hons and B.Com.

Dislikes

The infra is quite old and unattractive.
Admin staff is very rude and not very helpful.
The staff of Vocational Courses are very ignorant.

Admission:

I wanted to persue Bachelors of Management Studies from the start as I had no intentions of persuing B.Com like everyone else. I had this college on 11th preference in my preference sheet during the counciling. Above this I had a combination of Eco.Hons and BMS from various colleges but with the score I got, I was admitted in this college.

How three years at College of Vocational Study could look like!

Likes

Very professional and well-educated professors
Helpful administration and other staff of the college
Library facility and access to students. Mostly all of the semester books were available in the library free of cost

Dislikes

Size of the college campus was very small. Some of the classrooms felt very congested, and suffocating
Lack of amenities including smart classes, and AC classrooms

Admission:

I did apply to some of the renowned colleges of Delhi university, however, I specifically wanted to pursue BMS which was offered by 6 colleges back in 2013. Based on the final marks list for BMS, I had a chance to take admission in any one of the four colleges, and I specifically selected CVS, owing to the number of total seats it had for BMS which were 300.

My college life

Likes

The aspect of the college that I appreciate is it's gardening, the college infrastructure is not so good especially old building which needs to be improve.
After coming in this college I really improve my communication skills because of the interaction with my teachers and frnds.
teachers of cvs are amiable and calm , they always make sure that each and every student get chance to represent themselves and their teaching style is also awesome.

Dislikes

The thing that I dislike the most is the amphitheatre is very small .
Here event are not too much exciting and personally I think they needs to improve this .
Toilet is clean but sometimes it's really in bad conditions

Admission:

So u have to simply give cuet exam eligibility of this course is domain +langauge. The cutoff is moderate for this course and my experience in this course is better My admission experience is good because all process is online .

a perfect college pick for students in Delhi

Likes

the faculty was very friendly and highly qualified which made easy to learn for students.
the environment was really nice as the college was located in posh area.
the crowd as also amazing and very friendly towards each other.

Dislikes

as the college was located in saket, it was time consuming for many students to reach there.
the cafes around college were a bit expensive as the area was pash and had a high standard society.

Admission:

apart from delhi university, i had applied in IP university, Amity and GD goenka university. I got admission in all these universites but i chose DU as DU has a reputation over these private universities. the du college degree held more power and got more recognition for further studies as compared to the private universities. the admission process nowadays happen through an entrance exam called CUET. class 12th marks are no longer important for admission as your admission solely depend on the rank you get in the CUET exam.

i liked my campus and they have big ground and events , activities are great to enjoy enough space.
faculty members are well behaved to students and they great to manor to us.
college are give us supportive learning environment to study

Dislikes

library teachers are not to be nice to us they said max limited to study time
canteen food are mostly weird variety options
less opportunities for interships to us experience.

Admission:

i apply to many colleges but i want gargi college to study because i like their environment for girls but i rejected because i cant crack cucet so i choose CVS for my journey to study and college facuilty and campus over all are also good so i applied and i selected. addmission process are simple your elligibilty are passed high school and clear enterance exam.

Exposure to the broad and different views as faculty is fully experienced in their field
Helps in cultivating overall personality development as these courses offers a wide view of world and cultures

The college is not running on the full potential
Lack of proper infrastructure as per the courses
College is not well recognised in the entire university after having so much different courses.

Admission:

I preffered this college as this is one of the oldest and finest college in the asia and specifically in the delhi university offering this course and that is outstanding . This college also provide better placements

Good college for students

Likes

Ground of CVS is big and spacious and it is good for games
Canteen is also good the quality of food is also ok
Library is good but seating arrangement should be increased

Dislikes

Admin staff behaviour is not good they don't behave nicely with students
Old building also need renovation and upgradation
Sports facilities should also increase because there are limited games

I liked a thing in my college that my college campus is very big and have many facilities
My college canteen is very great beacuse its very tasty and affordable and they maintain proper hygiene.

Dislikes

One thing that i dislike in my college that they dont Mantain cleanliness
I dont like the faculty of my college they dony provide quality education and they are not able to make us industry ready.

Admission:

I got into this college through cuet so i dont have any options to get enrolled in any university and i got this colleve at 311 beacuse i have registeration and my course eligibility is little low but if you dont have any reservations then it would be difficult to get into it

The Reality of CVS

Likes

The thing that is best about the campus is it is huge in size and near to mall so students can go there in free time. The campus has a football ground and cricket net.
There are a lot of societies and they are quite nice and engaging giving a whole new experience
The canteen has good and affordable food.

Dislikes

The washroom are disgustingly very dirty and it is not cleaned.
Some teachers do not take normal classes.
If you are are a sports person and play basketball then you will have to got sports complex to play the same as in the campus there is not a proper basketball court.

Admission:

I had applied only in Delhi University but i had put few colleges before cvs in my preference list but i couldn't make it because of the marks. In order to get into this college one has to give Common University Entrence Test (CUET) amd fill the form for delhi university and through that ome can put CVS in the prefrence list of colleges.

A underrated college

Likes

social interaction of the college is very good, the variety of people interacting with each other via society and alos by other way the enviorment of college is very good
the various society present in the college and the society activeness and awareness about the college and world pushes the student to get new skills
the academic area also wonderful and I am not telling for a particular course but i get this knowledge from y other courses friends

Dislikes

infrastructure is more likely to required development. the old building of the college is quite defective
there is more building land in the college it could be utilised
santisation and hygeine could be maintained

Admission:

i applied in various colleges but i couldn't get it because i didn't get the required marks and place this college in preference list is on 9 position and below this i place various colleges but the reason to place this college is on 9th postion is only for the course and the best academics performance of this college. the process is :- firstly appear for cuet exam by filling CUET registration from 2. fill the DU registration form 3. Wait for the CUET RESULTS 4. After the CSAS round 1 came fillt the all necassary details 5. csas round 2 fill the preference list 6. the last round is that universty give your desired college on the basis of your rank and number
