Course Curriculum Overview
So I'm studying ba programe english and Spanish. So my main motive to pursue this course is to learn a new language. So talking about the course it's good as you have to study English as your major subject and Spanish assignment your minor subject. In major subject you have tu study novels, poems etc so it's kinda fun for a person who have interest in novels and talking about minor subject spanish, in this we start with basic spanish (1st yr)to intermediate(2nd yr) to advanced (3rd yr) so you get a chance to learn Spanish. Talking about the exams so the exams are moderate and not that difficult as this course is about the understanding.
Placement Experience
As of now I don't now about the college placement but I've listened that it's not that good. So I will talk about my plan after completing the course, so I have planned to give ssc cpo after graduation
Fees and Financial Aid
So the fee structure of Delhi college of arts and commerce for Ba program (2024) is 11.7k (2nd yr), in 1st year my fees was around 10.6k so basically it increases in 2nd year. There are fee concession for students having quota (Sc/st etc). My friends from same course (ba pro) but different combinations have slightly increase in their compared to my combination they pay about 12k per year as their course contains use of labs etc. so if I compare the fee structure of Delhi college of arts and commerce with other du colleges, delhi college of arts and commerce has affordable fees structure.
Campus Life
So the campus life in this College is fabulous as the crowd of this College is very amazing so you'll enjoy and college have many societies like dance society, singing society, fashion society, photography society and a special society for those who are preparing for upsc. Since I've joined college doesn't do any fests but there are events held like diwali mela etc. now lets talk about the library so our college have a huge library have almost all books ranging from course books to civil services exam books.
Admission
So I chosen this College because this College is nearby my home so it's easy to travel for the college. So if also applied for deshbandhu college before this and got confirmed admission from them but I also applied for college upgrade and got delhi college of arts and commerce. So talking about why I choose this College over deshbandhu is because deshbandhu is a off campus college and Dcac comes in south campus college so it's a top rated college comparing with others and Dcac has best faculty and no issues with attendance (it's also a one my reason). Taking about the admission process, as delhi college of arts and commerce comes under delhi University so for taking admission in this you need to give a exam which delhi University conducts called Cuet and after that you need to come under the cutoff for this College as this College has very high cutoff so you need good score in cuet. Taking about my experience about the admission process so it's kinda new thing for me but the process is very simple and my experience was good with it
Faculty
Talking about the faculty it's good they are polite and helpful . Faculty maintain good relationship with students and the faculty is very easy to approach for asking help. So now let's talk about exam system so our college comes under delhi University so they conduct exams twice in a year which is call end semester exams and every semester have 6 months of gap from next semester. Talking about difficulty level so the end semester exams have moderate level of difficulty but the checking system of Delhi University is very good as the chance of getting failed is very less
Night Life
