Course Curriculum Overview

3

So my course is Computer Application plus mathematics and it is a dual degree I believe it hold it is pretty special because it gives you the expertise of computer application while you learn maths and you get how the these things actually work so it is a pretty great combination whoever wants to learn this I believe it is 1 of the foundational things if you learn and you get pretty deep in it you can do really really great especially in the field of data science and in the field of AI you can do pretty good but it depends on the student like how he applied them and how he learn them Other than that I would say if they could improve it I would say remove Ge , sec , vac and AEC Because it's just increasing the workload and it kind of becoming an obstacle between personality development which was college was meant to be and it's really a big problem in my opinion So the frequency and the timing is one thing which is pretty catchy because in my course usually it starts from 8 30 and on specific days like on Aec Like Wednesday and Thursday it went up to 4:45 so from 8:30 to 4:45 and then one and a half hours of travel on top of that so it's just pure labor but in other courses like let's say Hindi sociology or philosophy sometime most of the time classes get canceled so that is one thing one or two classes are happening so the frequency is depend on your course what course you choose and difficulty is also being there my perspective towards is now that I am getting used to it and I'm still working

Internships Opportunities

4

So companies like E&Y , PWc ETC come here like the Big 4 and other do come here yeah and they do offer like you know internship with Stipe and I think across 10,000 to 20,000 but mostly they are taken by B com or B com owners students they are very less opportunity for I would say BA program but it also depends on the student like if he is able to clear the aptitude around and then the GD and Pi he will obviously get as well so it is more on the side of that how much the app capability you have as a student as a candidate that's what they most see I would say degree do matter but yeah your skills also the one that will shape you Of course the task and the tasks are usually you know some automation things or some repetitive tasks Ah it depends on the profile though like a marketing intern work would be different from a finance intern work so Yep it is that way I have work regarding the finance area so I can tell you that they expect you to have some level of basic understanding of finance but it also depends on company like I worked in a very local based company not that big four type of thing so the workload was also pretty easy and flexible so Yup that depends like on person to person One advice to get internship would be to have some sort of or some level of exceptionalism in one domain or in one field

Placement Experience

3

The placement is offered in the college I tell you this one thing and it will most probably get you what really happens so previous year before I come to the college what happened here was that the D Shaw comes here and they gave a package of around I remember 24 lakhs like they offered it but nobody was able to get that package because nobody was enough skilled to even cleared you know the aptitude or the testing rounds everyone got like out so that's what happened I believe companies do come like these and they do try to give good packages but students are not that good enough to grab them Of course if you compare it to North Campus then it is nowhere near placement would be the most I would say down thing here but it is improving and I am seeing a beacon of hope like a lot of internship drives are now happening so I am thinking that OK it is working now the big 4 does come here the average package would be around I think previous year was like five airway but this year it drops to 3.4 so it is pretty accurate like they never lie or bluff about it

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure at our college is highly variable depending on the course selected . For standard undergraduate programs , particularly mine is 14000 per year, which remains relatively stable throughout the course duration without increases year on year . But for instance German language courses and digiyal marketing - related programs cost is around 50000 Annually representing a significant premium over regular courses these specialized program often include additional chart for specialized material and industrial and certification cost so yeah that is why they you know cost as such mine high well if you look into the complete component the main cost is simply the tuition fees which is around 14000 and there is like no I guess registration fees or development fees because everything is included in the tuition fees so yeah other than opportunities I would say for some SCST student do get fees concession through government schemes but it varies like you know state policy and from which states do they come But main scholarship which I have heard about are two types like 1 is single girl child scholarship where they preference a single daughter or a single child girl or a single parent one thing like one of the parents is only alive that one thing or orphan related 2nd is a income based where the income needs to be below 2.5 lakhs and then the merit based merit come need based is like for everyone but it is pretty tough to crack so I would say yeah that these are you will get usually they cover all your tuition fees but the main cost what I really think being in the college for the last three months is may not transportation site like including the metro fare and the auto fare is like off the top

Campus Life

5

I think campus life in my college is the greatest you can have Like you get cultural society non cultural society tech societies everything is and one thing here is great that everyone can apply like if your 1st year 2nd year doesn't matter of course if you are senior then maybe you will get some preference in here and there but usually it is open for freshers as well and it works The range of books journals available in the library is amazing I would say like you can spend I have seen people like you know like I have not seen but heard about it that a lot of them become ISIRS IPS by studying in that same library because that's the quality level of general and books they provide facility wise it is good they provide ACS and all the basic amenities like WI fi are there so it is pretty great though some infrastructure rebel work can be still done in terms of sports and extracurricular the college and the campus is good in my opinion in terms of campus life it is the best the infrastructure is improving

Admission

So I applied to a lot of college what happened really was there was an error in the list and due to that I wasn't able to get into Shivaji College in the round one and yeah I was getting an economics honors from there because my marks was actually higher than that but that just life you know destiny works like that way and I got this college and I am pretty much like happy now that I am in this program I would say II did get rejection from a lot of colleges like and what what was the main thing was one I made list pretty wrong 2nd was my marks weren't really great as well I would say take care of your health before CUET etc because it would really really matter at that time The admission process of the college is simple that you simply give CVT and that most of the time happens

Faculty

4

So regarding the faculty to student ratio I believe in our BA program it varies a lot but overall the what I have really seen the faculty to student ratio is except one or two areas like one of them is can you can say the excel class where they teach you excel I think it is one of the part of BCOM programs I don't know properly so I will not say much on it but that's where I have seen the faculty to student ratio isn't that great but overall it is you know good enough that if you want to ask doubts and if you want some level of like you know guidance from teacher you will usually get that the relationship between student is I believe how first you approach the professor if you are if you are respectful most of them are like you know easy to work with and easy to cooperate with Yeah there could be some problem with one or two but exception lies everywhere so you can't do anything about it So here that is one of the things you would say the faculties that I like would be Farheen ma'am from Python and Aminish Sir from English fluency would be there then again Farheen ma'am from SEC class is Well usually what I have seen is that it is kinda rigorous if you do not pay much attention to the curriculum but it isn't that difficult like I would say it also depends where it really varies because like per subjects like like a BA in Hindi or history you could get a good CGP or a good percentage if you study like one day or two day before the exam but in my personal in my domain of knowledge like in mathematics and in computer application you have to study like almost every day so it is more academically rigorous yet difficult and yes many students get their back in mathematics as well The relevancy I believe it builds your much more aptitude to you know build your like compatibility towards things I believe that it the most important thing what college gives us in these courses is one would be aptitude and another would be The ability to think beyond your domain I would say

Night Life

3

The nightlife here is the I would say the worst I would say because there is literally after 5 the college needs to be shut down so you would not able to get it like there is literally 0 night life here except if there is some function and you have to work here as like you know you are a volunteer here and working for like freshers party etc in the management department then you maybe work here I do not have hostels here so I do not you know use hostel I come from my home so I don't know about hostel life but yeah hostel what I have heard is pretty great except the prices the overall experience of the kids they are pretty happy The hangout place is mostly a Sarojini CP and these places people go out outside the college you can go there as well Locality is pretty safe because there are many government departments there so you can roam around in my opinion but still it is Delhi so you know what it is

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.
