Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is relevant to subjects it include both theoretical knowledge and practical components. The syllabus helps in building a strong foundation and prepare students for higher studies and real world applications. Exam are conducted semester wise along with 2 internals.

Internships Opportunities

5

Jamia millia islamia provides different internship through its departments training and placement cell students get internships in companies ngos ,reasearch organizations and Government organizations internships involves live projects surveys, rearchwork and many more.

Placement Experience

5

Students generally sit for placement in 6th or 7th semester commpanis like tcs, wipro, infosys offering jobs here in engineering department highest package is of 40 lpa and avg 10-12 lpa almost 80% student placed my plane is to complete my masters after current course

Fees and Financial Aid

This university is very good for those students who did not get admission to iit and top nits . This college better than tier 2 and tier 3 nits. The fees for core branches like CS, ECE, Electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and civil Engineering is 19250 for first year which include everything except hostel fee after that from second year is 16500 . Some new engineering course also launched like CSDS, Electronics and VLSI and Electrical with computer whose fee is approximately 150000 The strength in each branch is 80 . Jamia provide various types of scholarship such as merit cum mean scholarship and AAJMI Scholarship which is a interview based scholarship whose amount is approx 5000 to 6000 rupees. the fee is very minimal but 1 thing that i didn't like is it is very tough to get a hostel in 1st year but if you are from a place which is 1000 km away from the location of college hope so you will get the hostel. The location is best because it is very closer to noida its an urban area very beautiful campus and you will learn in very good environment its an central university whose ranking in word is 400-500

Campus Life

5

The biggest fest that celebrate in jamia is foundation day which is run for 6 days in which jamia talimi mela, qawwali nights, dumshiraz, mushaira and some other events are organise. Some other fests are Tedx jmi, jashn e jamia and some other events also organised by different departments . There sport campus are very good there are multiple library and reading halls different types of societies are in jmi like w3b, Sih and many others these are two which i have joined w3b is a tech society

Admission

Yes I also apply in nit Uttrakhand and i got admission there but i choose jamia milla islamia because of there location and there better ranking in world. I didn't get rejection from nit Uttrakhand jamia is my choice. For admission first you have to qualify jee mains exam after that you have to fill online application form of jamia millia islamia then 7 or 8 days later a list is published by the university if your rank is good enough for jamia you will get admission there.

Faculty

5

Faculty is very good and supportive all are highly educated . My favorite faculty are Dr Shamim (computer science) and Dr Atiya Perveen( Engineering Mathematics) but All fuclties are very knowledgeable. In 1 semester there are 2 internal exams of 7 subjects and 1 semester exams for 7 subject and practicles failure of students depend on the students but most of the students get low marks in maths and computer

Night Life

5

Gym are very clean library are very big main library are dr zakir hussain library, ibne sina block and al biruni block there are some other libraries in different departments.Sharukh Khan , Virendra Swhwag and some other great personalities complete there education from jamia

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 6th semester onwards. The average package is around 20 LPA and the highest package is 85 LPA. The placements percentage for top branches is around 80% and many big companies like Amazon, Uber, Google, Microsoft, etc. offer placements. After my degree I plan on securing a placement on the tech field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as **fairly comprehensive and reasonably relevant**, especially in terms of building a strong foundation in core engineering concepts. One of the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course was the **structured curriculum covering important fundamentals such as programming, data structures, mathematics, and core engineering subjects**, which are essential for both technical roles and higher studies. The curriculum provides a solid theoretical base and helps develop analytical thinking, but for real-world applications students often need to complement it with **projects, internships, coding practice, and self-learning**, since some topics are still taught in a more traditional or theoretical way. In terms of improvements, the curriculum could benefit from **more industry-oriented electives, practical assignments, updated lab work, and interactive teaching methods such as case studies or project-based learning**. The exam system typically includes **two major exams per semester — a mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam — along with internal assessments, quizzes, and assignments**. The exams are generally **moderate in difficulty**, and students who attend classes and prepare consistently are able to perform well, though the evaluation tends to focus more on conceptual understanding and written exams rather than purely practical skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked physics and applications of physics so chose mechanical engineering, as ut has a lot of application of physics directly can really see how things work not just ideally but actually Curriculum is really good besides getting assignments which noone takes seriously everyone just copies , there must be much more practical stuff so that everyone learns but we do get that in tech teams but not directly as a student in college. There must be practical teachings and proper guidance proper high level machineary must be there, industry visits must be there and internships in such companies must be encouraged There are 5 exams of 1.5 hour considered as mid sems and 6 exams of 3 hours considered as endsems

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really good, i was always intered in the Engineering perspective of cars, and I must say it tries to deliver but doesnt sicces that well, atleast till now. For example I was really interested to study IC Engines this semester, it was a 4 credit main course, but I got RGautam as a teacher and in lab there are just artificial small models which are cross-section of various engines scaled down. So I felt really bad As I said earlier, the exams are relatively easy.
