I was aiming for an IIT from the start, so I cracked my advance on the first attempt. Still, I was not able to secure a good rank because of that, I wasn't able to get a CSE-related degree in Teir-1 even Teir-2 IITs, and all I got was I still remember IIT BHU civil and IIT JAMMU Mechanical, so I didn't take any IIT and withdraw from Jossa because, in my mains rank, I was not able to get any better NIT CSE branch. I entered In jac, where the leading choice is between NSUT and IIITD; DTU was never I wanted or even wished to be there. In round four of JAC, I have two choices: go to the IIITD CSAI branch and pay a heavy fee daily up and down 25km or take NSUT CSE, pay the affordable cost, and the NSUT campus is 6km away. Everyone, even my brother, thought NSUT would be a better call, but I chose IIITD because IIITD just opened in 2000. Only in 24 years have the packages of NSUT( opened in 1983 ) and IIITD been almost equal, so my gut feeling says that IIITD would be a better call, so I am here at IIITD. There are many other reasons also, like 1) NSUT, in the first year, I have to study chemistry, physics and metallurgy, even in the CSE branch, but in IIITD, it's not the case. 2) I liked the campus of IIITD more than NSUT 3) IIITD always stays up to date; at today's date, the latest technologies are Quantum computers, which IIITD have and NSUT doesn't. IIITD even also launched the course for the CQT for third/ fourth year, so that is what i meant when I said IIITD is always up to date 4) IIITD doesn't allow companies in placement cells if they offer less than 8 LPA ( I don't know the exact).

The campus , green campus area , beautiful environment, good atmosphere, each and every facilities, high academics levels , better opportunities for placement or internships and dignity of a college attracted me here.
I had a choice between dtu nsut and iiit, the ambience and culture of iiit seemed unique from rest two fees is higher thwn those but overwll iiit faculty is better than nsut dtu. Iiit is more serious in studies

Again courses, and research options because one of the famous R & D building and placement statistics are much better than many colleges having CSE branch and good infrastructure and facility. And AC options are also cool.
This college was recommended by many with DTU and NSUT. I had option to go in either but i decided to choose iiitd for its curriculum. The placement and internship opportunities, research opportunities and its high reach to important people.
I didn't just choose this college because of it's infrastructure or great placement records, yeah it's my list of admission but not the first choice my first choice is DTU but because of lower rank i didn't get this so i have to opt for this but life has it's way now i fo thruogh this to be a good software engineer as well as good responsible man, after the last round of counselling i got DTU but at last moment at 31 july night's the result of upgradation round got out and from dtu lower branch i got in IIIT Delhi's computer science in beginning it's a bit expensive but we manage it, i got admission through JAC on the basis of jee mains rank admission process is look tidious if you don't know about it at all like the documents or procedures etc. after getting the seat i have to pay the remaining amount of first semseter aside from the seat allocation fees before the semseter start that is some 1.5 lac, 1.42 lac to be precise.

I chose IIIT Delhi because of the highly educated faculties and the facilities here. Although I would have preferred going to other NITs or even IIIT Allahabad but at 17k rank in JEE mains I managed to get ECE here at IIIT Delhi with outside Delhi and general quota. IIIT Delhi apparently had a quite nice placement history also which was a major factor choosing it. I filled up the JAC counselling which is done on JEE mains rank basis for Delhi colleges , all the process was online , there were 5 rounds of counselling which extended for a month then a spot round. After you been alloted a college and you lock the choice you have to go for a physical verification where they ask you for your documents like marksheets and medical certificate , once the verification is done you are admitted in the college and then every information is conveyed to you on your email. The admissions process was quite easy just have to fill some forms and pay the remaining fee and the hostel fees once alloted, overall it was hassle free.

I had options between IIITD and NSUT, I considered IIITD over nsut for package and course structure. Admission is done through JAC counselling the process is very easy and u are guided at every major step. JEE MAIN is the paper for the college and people with 75% in PCM can sit for the paper

I applied in JAC counselling. I found IIITD better than dtu and nsut in terms of crowd and academics. But students at dtu and nsut get relatively more free time that students at IIITD. The workload and deadlines at IIITD is much greater than any other college.

Unfortunately, IIIT Delhi's mess food is like any other typical mess food. I have friends in other IITs and I heard from them that their mess food is better. The mess scenes are very chaotic, especially during the day.
There are frequent menu changes but only for the show. No new dishes are added and only the order or serving is changed. They even interchange lunch and dinner and claim this act as updating the menu. The mess app doesn't improve the food quality.
The food served is of substandard quality and the majority of students tend to order their food online. So, be prepared to be disappointed by the IIITD Mess.
The three IIITs mentioned by you, namely IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Delhi and IIIT Allahabad have no connection with one another. Only IIIT Allahabad is a member of a collective known as the IIITs.Out of the remaining two, IIIT Hyderabad stands for The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad, and IIIT Delhi stands for Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi.
All these three are prestigious institutions and I would disagree that they are underrated. IIIT Hyderabad is very difficult to get into. It has high cutoffs which are at par with some of the top IITs. IIIT Hyderabad is considered as one of the best institutes to study CS. The same is evident through their CS placements, a number of entrants in GSoc, and their participation in competitive programming. As far as IIIT Delhi is concerned, the institution has grown tremendously in the past few years. It has cut offs comparable to NSIT and DTU.
All these institutes are relatively new and have the tag of “Research Institutes” attached to them. These might be an obstacle to their fame. This is because in India, students choose those institutes that promise the best industrial career prospects and not the ones driven by research.
However, because these institutes are research-driven, the quality of their course content is top notch and they attract some of the best faculty. This also works to increase your overall development and opportunities in the industry. The popularity of these institutions is thus growing rapidly.
Therefore, all three institutions are really good choices to pursue your higher studies.
First of all, to clear any misconceptions, IIITH, IIITD and IIITA are not connected in any manner. Out of the three, only IIIT Allahabad is a member of the actual collective known as the IIITs.
The common public doesn’t know much about these prestigious colleges. Consequently, they aren’t valued as much as the IITs and NITs. Here are the reasons why-
But those who belong to the field of engineering (especially IT), give high ratings to these institutions, especially IIIT Hyderabad. These three offer research oriented academics. They even offer UG research programs.
IIIT Hyderabad, Delhi and Allahabad are performing really well in their respective fields. They should be given much more attention.
The saddest part of IIIT Delhi is its poor reputation and deteriorating brand name. It’s still unknown among the masses because it’s a developing institute. Moreover, the additional I in IIIT stands for Indraprastha and not International so this is also a big disappointment.
Most people confuse IIIT Delhi with IIT Delhi because the former is unknown while the latter is highly reputed. The sad part is that IIIT Delhi is an excellent college in terms of academics, infrastructure, and highly qualified faculty members. But its brand name and reputation have affected its growth terribly.
Yes, IIIT Delhi is very strict in the sense that it ensures every student gets to nurture their talents equally here and enter the competitive world. It does not shy away from making the students work hard to prepare them for a bigger purpose.
The subsequent semesters bring in more workload and the strictness also increases. Additionally, it follows the Plagiarism Policy forbidding students from copying any assignment or labs from their peers or from the internet. Students therefore have to be thorough with their concepts and cannot rely on others. After every small interval of time that may be weeks or days of getting deadlines.
So yes, IIIT Delhi is definitely very strict compared to many colleges.

Yes, it's advisable to learn a coding language before being admitted to IIIT Delhi although it's not completely necessary. IIIT Delhi organizes some coding sessions during the orientation for people with non-CS backgrounds. If you have no knowledge of coding, you don't have to worry much because many non-CS students have launched successful startups.
