IIITD review

Likes

The flexibility with time and such is very good,no restrictions is really amazing helps me explore the city more and make more friends
The faculty is very approaching,it you have any doubts u can just approach them and they actually.help.you out instead of being condensensending

Dislikes

Nothing major as such but workload can get very overwhelming at times
Sometimes the assignments in some subjects don't really make sense

Campus Life:

Social life in this college is very good as there's nothing as such a curfew and all facilities are open 24/7 apart from days when we have exams there's always something or the other going on in campusm The rooms are pretty great all are air conditioned

Likes

I really like the nice and friendly behaviour of the TAs ,TFs and The Professor.
The proffessors of IIID are the best, I mean almost every proffessor have passed-out from well known abroad universities

Dislikes

Campus have only one badminton court which most of the time either occupied or being repaired
Less availablity of the hostels, My home is 25km away and still i don't have any hostel alloted to me because the avearge criteria is about 30 km

Campus Life:

Our college organises only on annual and technical fest ODC which is in 2025 FEB, In 2025 it's going to be my first time attending the fest so I don't know much about it. But in 2024, they didn't conduct the ODC. Rather, they organized a better induction for a new batch. In our time of induction, they called Mayur, one of the standup comedians into IIITD. Our college library is the best, like all kind of books are available in our library and our college also offers a kindle premium which you can borrow through library. Our some of the TA's office hours are conducted in library group study session. There are many small steps that every college has taken for the day scholars, like they have started a cab service for day scholars; in this cab services there will be a cab that drops you at the college/ college to metro station at every half-hour slot. Our college has all kinds of sports activities, I can't even name them all, but I can assure you any sports you want to play in IIITD you have it in IIITD, like in my case I like badminton and IIITD have 3 badminton courts. You can issue shuttle and badminton; all are available 24/7 and if you are interested, you can participate in it at the beginning of the semester. Our college also has lots of clubs you will get to know at the time of induction. I don't remember all of them, but there are clubs for Electronic nurds, Haryana students, an astrological club, a hacker club, a coding club, an anime club and a drawing club all I remembered. There are many more's but I don't remember them

Excellence at IIIT D

Likes

Green campus of IIITD is so attractive and healthy
Management here is so engage and comfortable

Dislikes

Hostels do not get by everybody except distanced students
Sessions or tutorials generally happen in mornings or evenings , unfavourable for day scholars

Campus Life:

I personally feel very safe and happy in the campus , there is no a single mark for ragging , each and every student is focused and studious . The clubs and societies are so fantastic and interesting here.

Campus Life:

Sports culture is one of the best in delhi with proper selection procedures and oddyssey is our cultural fest and is biggest in india. Many big artists come to our college with too many clubs non tech and tech

Likes

Course is updated to the needs of industry.
People are very friendly and helpful to support.

Dislikes

College tuition fee is much higher than the collages that are providing same benefits.
High workload and we always have deadlines to manage.

Campus Life:

My overall experience is refined and people are diverse too, cause there are people from various states and even international students are here too. There are various club options where you can go and broaden your interest.

Campus Life:

There are events happening time to time. Some are paid some are not. Paid ones are really organised and the others are just barely an event but its fun if you are with your friends. The culbs are operational im in music club and we jam once in while.

Campus Life:

Since I didn't opt for the hostel so i'm dayscholar so most of iddn't get to see the over all campus life like playing in evening or late night early mornign running late night studeis in library or labs but whenever i;m in college for classes i try to spend most of the time in either lab or in sports block, it has swimming pool, indoor games arena, football, tennis court, basket ball , cricket practice net, volleyball, 2 gyms, and for study areas aside from lectures hall, classroom we have labs with highend and latest desktop and whole library building with different rooms or common rooms both quiet or group studies. I am not much of a social guy i avoid social clubs but it has varitey of clubs and society like paper'n'salt, dark code, etc

Life at IIITD

Likes

The college infrastructure is very good with swimming, gym , sports complex , library and every place is nicely designed. You can never get bored here.
There is no timing restrictions in hostel, you can roam anytime in the campus and can go out of the campus too just have to make an entry and you are free to go outside the college late at night too.

Dislikes

The academic load here is too much , you can’t cope with it , there’s always a deadline nearing and you are always busy doing it .
College has a plagiarism policy which is strictly followed that forbids us to copy others work so you have to always do the project, assignment, etc on your own.

Campus Life:

IIIT Delhi organize three major fests and countless hackathons and events in regular intervals. The most enthusiastic fest is the Odyssey, the cultural fest of the college which is for two days with a concert in the evening for both the days. Concert artist are always some high rated performers like kr$na and sankar mahadevan performed last year. The other two are the tech fest (Esya) and sports fest (Astra). There is mostly a club for every extra curricular activities that are active and held events on regular basis.

A college worth considering

Likes

The course curriculum is tailor made for better industrial exposure.
Weekly quizzes and labs helps us remain in touch with topics and not become rusty.

Dislikes

Fees for the course which i think is one of the major cons.
Workload and assignments are helpful but to certain extent, after some time they become tiring and hectic to manage.

Campus Life:

There are many socio-cultural groups one can take part in according to their own interests. These are student sun bodies. Few are Machaan for dramatics Mad toes for Dancers etc… Odyssey is the annual fest organized which is hughely valued and organizing bodies of which are maintained.

Likes

The teaching methods and the faculty is pretty impressive at IIITD.
The curriculum is updated in comparison to other colleges.

Dislikes

IIITD is known for its updated curriculum but its tough to manage time in the college.
Here at IIITD you get assignments and quizzes with deadlines which maybe hectic for students sometimes.

Campus Life:

The annual fest at IIITD is odyssey. It is a 3 day fest with concerts and many other activities. Last year Kr$na, madhavan and many more artists came and performed at IIITD. The clubs arent really active but the college really tries to keep them active. There are many clubs for example machaan, audiobytes, trivialis , owasp etc. The campus life is really amazing at IIITD because of its great infrastructure. The college also offers a variety of sports example cricket nets, tennis courts, basketball, badminton, table tennis, swimming etc.
