The infrastructure and the library facilities and the subjects they taught
the placement cell is trying hard to get good companies

Dislikes

The hostel don;t have a enjoyable environment and the rules DAC
boys to girls ratio is very bad like other clg i.e 1/11

Admission:

Bcz of good teacher and better subjects and placements and infrastructure . no I have no regret of joining this clg best decision . the admission process is via jac delhi , uceed and business blaster and through boards result I got nust and dtu via jac and other clg through jossa but they are far away from me and not good study No I didn't get rejection from any clg I applied eligibility is jee main score and 75% in 12th cutoff is variable

Comprehensive overview of Intership Opportunities at IIIT-D

Likes

The coding culture in this college was great as far as I know
There were too much interesting Clubs to be joined in the entire B-Tech
Quality of Infrastructure is nice and the services provided all are in the campus

Dislikes

The gender ratio of boys and girls was really bad
Good placement data excluding some branches like CSSS
There was too much strictness of Plagiarism in the college

IIIT-D was choosen over other colleges for its unique curriculum, dynamic faculty , and research focus . It's admission process is streamlined and merit based . Rejection from other institutes is usually due to higher cutoff of Computer Science branch or competition rather than procedural gaps . The choice of IIIT-D is backed by its quality education , career prospects , and interdisciplinary edge , standing out among peer institutes.

my college life in a snapshot review

Likes

Campus infrastructure is really good whole campus is lush green
There is no restriction on when you are coming to college or going out form the college basically no cerfew timing
the gender ration of iiitd is 1:11 for every 1 girl 11 boys

Dislikes

You will experience a good amount of academic load in this college there will be deadlines of assignments
Because of the academics load yoy will see very less people instrested in co curricular activity which sometimes make you fed up from the college

Admission:

I applied to several top colleges including NSUT,DTU IIIT Hyderabad and few other colleges i got confirmend admission offers from NSUT(ECE) and iiitd cse and eventually chose iiitd beacuse of its strong academics focus on computer science excellent faculty and modern infrastructure the research culture and the curriculum at iiitd rellay stood out compared to the others. It's more aligned with current industry trends like AL amd ML I didn't get IIIT Hyderabad cse because of my jee main rank didn't ,make to the cutoff the competition is super intense there ,espically for cse and i fell short by a small margin but honestly i don't regret it IIITD offers a comparable level of educarion with a strong coding culture snd great placement records The admission process for IIITD straightforward but slightly different from other institutes .For Btech addmission are primarily through JEE mains via JAC for delhi based students they also take admission frommthe student that come from uceed and they alsi consider class 12 percentile as a part of eligiblity for a few program the cutoff of jee mains goes really high for cs branches and it even more tiugher for outside delhi student

IIITD is Indeed the best!!

Likes

Our college is located in Okhla and therefore all the places in Delhi can be easily commuted with.
Our infrastructure is just too good as corporate box styled building and huge auditoriums to have events done smoothly.
Our course is tough and is even advanced than that of IITs.

Dislikes

We have a uniform culture and that is something which is unbearable at this stage.

Admission process is same as IIT as after IITs, IIITs are filled and so for those who miss out on their favourite IITs, IIITs come as a boon. In IIITs, IIITD is the top ranked and therefore students with 6-8k in general category are the ones who get admission here.

IIITD - The Actual and not hidden realities

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is awesome.
There is no curfew time inside the college campus.
The professors of the college are highly educated.

Dislikes

Less interaction between the professors and students
Being a research oriented college, the academics are hectic.
The fee is really high as compared to other colleges.

Admission:

This is a highly reputed Government institution. It is a research based institute with highly qualified professors. Its average package is also competitive I applied to BITS PILANI, DTU , NSUT, IIIT LUCKNOW

Life at IIITD

Likes

professors and teaching quality with academics
there are many facilities for research and development
students here are focused and intelligent

Dislikes

fees is too high, and input is not according to the fees
life at this college sometimes feels burdened
there is concept of plagiarism which is strict regarding cheating

Admission:

i chose this college in place of DTU and NSUT. it is because many seniors and relatives told me that academics and curriculum is strict at IIITD which is important for better future. People at DTU are less focused and therefore creates problem

Great college with excellent placements stats but with a extra academic load

Likes

The infrastructure of college is good as it's established in 2008
The course curriculum is according to new regime making students industry ready
The teaching facilities and faculty is awesome

Dislikes

Their is a extra academic load than other colleges
The sports facilities is not very good it can be improved
The girls to boys ratio is only 1:10 which is little less

IIIT-DELHI Best college of Delhi?

Likes

College infrastructure is great all classroom having multiple digital screen, labs equipped with ac and latest intel chip desktop.
Placement wise college is great on comparison to other delhi colleges.
Hostel mess food is good and we have air conditioner facility in summers and heater facility in winter.

Dislikes

Curriculum is rigorous it sometimes takes toll on your mental health.
Some professors are knowledgeable but they lack good teaching methodology.
Plagiarism policy is strict you can even get on semester leave if you got multiple plagiarism case.

Admission:

I choose this college over dtu, nsit and other delhi colleges as the batch ratio is small which matters a lot during placements season as in our year batch size is 550 approx and dtu computer science and nsut cs alone has more students (approx 600 students) compare to our whole batch size. And in our time placement percentage was 100% and average ctc was 18-19 lpa. For admission here you have to enrolled in jac counseling and admission is based on jee mains score.

The flexibility with time and such is very good,no restrictions is really amazing helps me explore the city more and make more friends
The faculty is very approaching,it you have any doubts u can just approach them and they actually.help.you out instead of being condensensending
No attendance policy in this college in first semester is very good as sometimes you need to self study or may have prior commitments

Dislikes

Nothing major as such but workload can get very overwhelming at times
Sometimes the assignments in some subjects don't really make sense
Campus maybe small but it's still navigatible

Admission:

I applied to manu universities abroad like university of waterloo, university of toronto , university of Leeds, university of liverpool and got into all except uofT indidnt go there as it was very expensive Admission is done through jee mains ,admision was very smoothly conducted and for delhi students anything above 98% ile should secure this collehe

I really like the nice and friendly behaviour of the TAs ,TFs and The Professor.
The proffessors of IIID are the best, I mean almost every proffessor have passed-out from well known abroad universities
I also like the environment around me, I have really good peer groups and helpfull friends and seniours.

Dislikes

Campus have only one badminton court which most of the time either occupied or being repaired
Less availablity of the hostels, My home is 25km away and still i don't have any hostel alloted to me because the avearge criteria is about 30 km
the gender ratio i mean it's better than DTU and NSUT but still out college have around 150-200 girls out of 600

Admission:

I was aiming for an IIT from the start, so I cracked my advance on the first attempt. Still, I was not able to secure a good rank because of that, I wasn't able to get a CSE-related degree in Teir-1 even Teir-2 IITs, and all I got was I still remember IIT BHU civil and IIT JAMMU Mechanical, so I didn't take any IIT and withdraw from Jossa because, in my mains rank, I was not able to get any better NIT CSE branch. I entered In jac, where the leading choice is between NSUT and IIITD; DTU was never I wanted or even wished to be there. In round four of JAC, I have two choices: go to the IIITD CSAI branch and pay a heavy fee daily up and down 25km or take NSUT CSE, pay the affordable cost, and the NSUT campus is 6km away. Everyone, even my brother, thought NSUT would be a better call, but I chose IIITD because IIITD just opened in 2000. Only in 24 years have the packages of NSUT( opened in 1983 ) and IIITD been almost equal, so my gut feeling says that IIITD would be a better call, so I am here at IIITD. There are many other reasons also, like 1) NSUT, in the first year, I have to study chemistry, physics and metallurgy, even in the CSE branch, but in IIITD, it's not the case. 2) I liked the campus of IIITD more than NSUT 3) IIITD always stays up to date; at today's date, the latest technologies are Quantum computers, which IIITD have and NSUT doesn't. IIITD even also launched the course for the CQT for third/ fourth year, so that is what i meant when I said IIITD is always up to date 4) IIITD doesn't allow companies in placement cells if they offer less than 8 LPA ( I don't know the exact).

What rank in GATE is required to get into IIIT Delhi for an MTech in CSE?

IIIT Delhi considers both your GATE rank and UG percentage for admissions into M.Tech. You can apply through two categories- GATE and Non GATE.

For shortlisting GATE candidates, GATE rank and UG percentage are considered. 2500 GATE rank and 75% UG score is enough to get shortlisted for M.Tech CSE. This is followed by an interview.

Non-GATE candidates are shortlisted based on their UG percentage. Around 75% is enough to be shortlisted for M.Tech CSE. Once shortlisted, you’ll have to give a written test followed by an interview. Non-GATE qualifiers don’t get a stipend during their M.Tech.

IIIT Delhi frequently changes its selection criteria. Earlier Codechef's long score was considered during selections, but not now. College toppers and ICPC participants have better selection chances than the others.

IIIT Delhi has become a popular choice of JEE aspirants. Here is some information regarding B.Tech ECE cutoff for outside Delhi candidates-

97 percentile is equivalent to rank 30,000. During 2023, B.Tech ECE cutoff for IIIT Delhi stood at rank 8670. This was the JEE Mains cutoff rank for general category OS candidates. Unfortunately, it is not possible to get into ECE at IIITD with a 97 percentile.

Nonetheless, you should consider other good engineering colleges.

IIIT Delhi follows a scheme of bonus marks. These marks are awarded for excellence in academics, sports, olympiads, etc.

The top 1% performers in the 12th CBSE boards are awarded bonus scores. To apply for bonus marks through academics, you must be a Delhi candidate. Without bonus marks, only your JEE Mains rank is considered.
