Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is quite relevant and well structure . it covers both theoretical foundations and hands on experience, which helps in understandin real world applications i liked that we get exposure to programming, data science and AI and lot more form early semesters itself. this made the course feel modern and industry ready the curriculum is designed to prepare us for both jobs and higher studies. There are plenty of electives to choose from based on your intrest and research oppoetunites are available for those who want to go deeper Exams are held regularly with midsems, endsems, surprise quizzes the difficulty level varies some subjects are challenging especially the core cs ones but at the end they are manageable

Internships Opportunities

5

curently as i am in my second year i will sit in intership from july when comanies come in our college for placements but if you ask my senior experience they always say those days are really hectic ones but they are the best days in campus also as you and your friend make it to there dream companies at the end

Placement Experience

4

Placements at IIIT Delhi are honestly one of the best parts of the college. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7 semester ownwards but many students also get intership during 6 semester which later convert into full time offers top companies visits every year including google, amazon ,adobe , goldman sachs, atlassian ,samsung ,zamato and many more the recent placement season over 150+ compaines visited campus and made more than 500+ offers the highest package offered went above rs 1 cr (international) , while for domestic offers it was around rs 45 -50 lpa. the average package for cse related branchesis usually 18-20lpa and even the median is quite good 15lpa most roles are in software development , data science ,AL/ML the placement percentage is consistently high aroung 80 percent for csse student After the graduation i plan to either take upa job in a product based tech company or pursue a master's abroad dependinh on how my final year goes.IIIT DELHI strong alumni network and brand recognition make both options possible

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for our college is like we have to pay fee in 2 installment in a year like for winter sem one time and for monsoon sem in each semester we have to pay 2,25,000 so the total amount in a year is 4,50,000. There are few scolarship offered by college but those scolarship have a eligblity cretria if you pass the eligblity cretria then you can take those scolarship from the college. the eligblity cretria is you should have 7.5 plus cgpa and no backlogs our college also give laptop to students who cannot afford laptop there are some scolarship for minority (SC,ST) offered by delhi government.

Campus Life

5

Campus life at IIIT delhi is a great mix of academics, fun, and personal growth there are two major fests every year odyssey( the cultural fest) and esya (the technical fest). Odyssey usually happens around march, while esya is held in august or september both events are pacjed with performances, compettions celebrity nights, and hackathons that brings the whole campus alive campus infra is modern and well maintained classrooms are equipped and with smart borad , high speed internet , and air conditioning the library is spacious , digital -friendly and provide access to tons of academic journals reseach papers and booksit's opan lated which is super helpful during exam time there alsoa strong focus on extracurricular activites we have a wide range of students run clubs like coding clu (foobar) ,drama club , dance club and many more clubs these clubs organise events regularlt and provide a much needed break form studies )

Hostel Facilities

3

the hostel facility in my college is pretty good and well maintained the rooms are mostky twin sharing with options of single occupancy in higher semesters . Each room comes with a bed, study table, chair, cupboard and high speed wifi connectivity there is also air conditioning which is big plus during delhi summers the mess food is decent not resturant level, but definitely manageable the menu rotates weekly and includes nort and south indian food the hostel registration process is done online and pretty smooth seats are allotted based on admission and distance order and you usually get your room by the tume class start in terms of cost it id affordable

Admission

I applied to several top colleges including NSUT,DTU IIIT Hyderabad and few other colleges i got confirmend admission offers from NSUT(ECE) and iiitd cse and eventually chose iiitd beacuse of its strong academics focus on computer science excellent faculty and modern infrastructure the research culture and the curriculum at iiitd rellay stood out compared to the others. It's more aligned with current industry trends like AL amd ML I didn't get IIIT Hyderabad cse because of my jee main rank didn't ,make to the cutoff the competition is super intense there ,espically for cse and i fell short by a small margin but honestly i don't regret it IIITD offers a comparable level of educarion with a strong coding culture snd great placement records The admission process for IIITD straightforward but slightly different from other institutes .For Btech addmission are primarily through JEE mains via JAC for delhi based students they also take admission frommthe student that come from uceed and they alsi consider class 12 percentile as a part of eligiblity for a few program the cutoff of jee mains goes really high for cs branches and it even more tiugher for outside delhi student

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ration is 1:30 approx btw it can vary depending upon on the courses. Most professors are really approachable aanad helpful . they're usually involved in research, so they brubg a lot of real world knowledge into the classroom if you show interest, they're always willing to guide you beyind lectures too. some of the best faculty members are Dr Anuj Grover , Dr. Rajiv Ratn Shah for this engaging teaching style and cool projects in AI .They're both super knowledgeable and friendly the course structure is quite intense but will planned there are midsems, endsems, in class quiz and assignments so your grade doesn't just depend on one exam. Some subjects are tough, but if you keep upwith tje work it's manageable the syllabus is pretty up to date and definitely useful if you're aiming for a tech career

Night Life

5

As college is in centre of delhi outside college you can go to variuos places for fun like mall, clubs adventure park and a night walk around the campus and the time the security guard patrol around the campus which make sure about our saftey for me best place to hangout is going to cafe at hauz khaz when ever i feel exaust i just go there or i walk around the campus with my friends

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi Technological University - [DTU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
