The people, infrastructure, professors, course and curriculum are some of the best things at IIIT-Delhi
Infrastructure is very good , all the classes and library and every building are very good.

Dislikes

Maths - you will obviously hate it hardest subject ever last year was 61% to get 10cgpa now you can compare the hardness of the subject
So basically campus size is small as compared to nits and iits

A college worth considering

Likes

The course curriculum is tailor made for better industrial exposure.
Weekly quizzes and labs helps us remain in touch with topics and not become rusty.

Dislikes

Fees for the course which i think is one of the major cons.
Workload and assignments are helpful but to certain extent, after some time they become tiring and hectic to manage.

Placement Experience:

Placements is one of the factors that provide an edge. Summer internships are also very good opportunities for dwelling into corporate world. Top companies come and pick in great numbers. Median package is roughly 18 LPA and highest can go upto 60LPA

Likes

The teaching methods and the faculty is pretty impressive at IIITD.
The curriculum is updated in comparison to other colleges.

Dislikes

IIITD is known for its updated curriculum but its tough to manage time in the college.
Here at IIITD you get assignments and quizzes with deadlines which maybe hectic for students sometimes.

Placement Experience:

At IIITD students become eligible for internships after 2nd year. First sem students also get a chance to get internship from UNIQLO. The company takes some students from first sem and offer them stipends and a trip to tokyo. The percentage of placements is good at IIITD but it went down during recession. The highest package offered is 55lpa domestic and 120lpa overseas and the avg package is 20-25 lpa. Approx 70% students got placed in year 2024

Reality of IIIT Delhi (is it really a hell hole)

Likes

No ragging and friendly seniors making a very friendly environment
Diversity in clubs allowing one to choose whatever they are interested in

Dislikes

College is getting too expensive even though it's goverment funded

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement in 3rd year. There were around 150-200 offers made, companies visited were meesho, Uniqlo etc The avg package is around 15 lpa and highest package is 49 lpa.

IIIT Delhi - A Complete College Review

Likes

Beautiful campus, many trees, the classrooms, labs all are really well organised and clean.
Clean hostels, girls are allowed in the common room of boys hostel

Dislikes

Workload, too many assignments, quizzes, deadlines, no social life, no time for anything other than studies.
The difficulty of exams is really high, the end sems are almost impossible to score, and the whole end sem is packed with multiple deadlines and projects at the same time.

Placement Experience:

Placements better than many other colleges but still decent only. And because of all the recession and everything, many students are still unplaced here. The college boasts really high placement and internship on its site but all those are fake numbers, many students don't even get placed and aren't even allowed to sit in the placements but they are not even counted by the college and hence the college says 99.81% students placed but there are so many students they didn't even allow to sit in the placement rounds or the company rejected because of low cgpa. Recently, TCS had come to this college, they kep the eligibility at 8.5cgpa and offered a package of 4.5LPA. HIghest package goes to crores but only overseas and almost all domestic packages have in hand salary of 1 lakhs per month or around that. Right now there is no demand for engineers so placements at an all time low otherwise you can have a cgpa of 7+ and easily get placement and 7.5/8+ for internship

Our college provide the decent placement and in our college have 20LPA average package so you can assume that if you take this college you have to do some preparation for placement then you will be able to take the decent offer

IIITD Honest Review

Likes

Intense focus on research and development having its own R&D block
Good and useful coutrses are taught only

Dislikes

The tution fee is too high and it increases year after year
The curriculum is tough and rigid giving assignments and deadlines on regular basis

Placement Experience:

For campus internships the studnet gets eligible after his 2nd year, i.e. when entering his 3rd Year and similary campus placements are offered after entering 4th year(for btech) , the placement percentage is around 70-80 % this year dye to recession while the average and median package hasn't changed much from previous years.

My Journey at IIIT Delhi: A tale of growth and Discovery

The college has teh best research faculty if you are a research nerd than definately IIIT Delhi is for you.
The placement of the college is great about 18+ lpa every year and increasing conatatnly.

Dislikes

The college size is not so big it is just 25acres in area.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester the student is available for college placements as the companies started to visit the college, and the student has to maintain a minimum of 6 CGPA for seating in the college placements. The companies include Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, Meta, Cognizant, JP Morgan, and many more top companies. The highest Package of all time is 1.83 crores per annum, and this year, the highest placement is 47lpa with an average of 21.75lpa. This year, the placement percentage is about 85%; my plans after getting the degree are to work for about 2-3 years and then prepare for Civil Services.

IIIT Review

Great faculty, really helpful if you want to pursue research as a carrier. A lot of opportunities to work with professors and do undergraduate research.
Strict academic curriculum. The courses are very well planned with total academic freedom to choose the courses to you want to study after 2nd year

Dislikes

Small campus , the campus is really small around 25 acres , that might lead to congestion as the student intake increases every year.
High fees, the college charges really high fees compared to other engineering colleges. Though loans are available.

Placement Experience:

Ok, so you get eligible to sit in campus placement after your 6th semester for placement and after 4th sem for internships. Though you actually go for internships after your 6th semester summer break. All of the MAANG companies visit college. And overall placement is actually quite good. Though you need to focus your college classes to earn their interview. The highest package each year goes around 50lakhs and average goes around 20lakhs. from my own experience I can say these numbers are legit and around 90%+ people get jobs though the number of low in 2024 in our college(82%) and well as everywhere. My plan after college is getting a job.

Review of IIITD by an Insider

Likes

The teaching style at IIITD is quite rigorous
We get a many weekly assignments which are quite hard to solve

Dislikes

The fees at IIITD is very high when compared to other colleges
The student intake is quite high when compared to the size of the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very apt to the corporate world and our assignments are no less than a project at any IT company. The toughness level of our couses are also very high and it sometimes becomes difficult for some students to even pass the course.

You can't get Hostel easily and so is a demerit for students liiving in Delhi NCR

Placement Experience:

The placements here are excellent except for those recession-hit students. The median package here goes around 16 Lakhs P.A . Most of the students get placed here or get a PPO from the company itself.
