What is the fee structure at IIIT Delhi?

IIIT Delhi charges its students semester-wise. The fee structure for the B.Tech 2023 batch is described below- The tuition fee for AY 2023-24 is Rs. 4.50 Lakhs. This is the fee for Indian students and B.Tech. DASA (CIWG) students. You’ll be paying Rs. 2.25 Lakhs per semester. Rs. 12,000 extra will be charged during admissions. This will include Rs. 10k Security Money (Refundable) and Rs. 2k Alumni Fee. For single-seater hostel rooms, you’ll pay Rs. 42,500 per semester. For double-seater rooms, the cost will be Rs. 32,000 per semester. The mess charges will be Rs. 3350 per month. A refundable security deposit of Rs. 10,000 will be charged when opting for a hostel. It’s not compulsory to opt for the hostel. The tuition fee increases by 10-15% each year. Hostel fee also increases by some amount every year. This is the complete fee structure for B.Tech students joining IIIT Delhi during AY 2022-2023.

What is the way to pay such a high fee for an M.Tech in IIIT Delhi for a poor student?

If you are opting for an M.Tech in CSE/ECE from IIIT Delhi, consider the course fee as a one-time investment. This course and college have a huge ROI, given that you work really hard during these two years. The course will cost you somewhere around Rs. 5-6 Lakhs (including all the charges). With an educational loan, you’ll be repaying around Rs 5,70,707 in total (approximately). If you get in through GATE, you’ll get a stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month, which is Rs. 2,97,600 in total. If you spend around 5000 per month, you’ll still save Rs. 1,77,600 from your stipend. So your loan will come down to Rs. 3,93,107. If you grab a package of 20+ LPA, you’ll get a base salary of Rs. 10-12 LPA. This means an in-hand salary of around Rs. 70-80k per month. Try to save Rs. 40,000 per month. Which should my daughter choose, a CSE from IGDTUW or a ECE from NSIT/DTU/IIIT Delhi?

The choice between CSE from IGDTUW and ECE from NSIT/DTU/IIIT depends on the goals of your daughter. If she is planning to pursue higher studies like MS or a Ph.D., then IIIT Delhi is a decent choice as it’s a research-oriented college. But if she is looking for a job, then IIIT Delhi will offer limited opportunities. This is because getting a job in Core ECE companies like Western Digital and Qualcomm is not easy, as these companies prioritize master students. A few talented students do get placed in Software firms. In IIIT Delhi first year is the same for both CSE and ECE during which the students are taught Introduction to Programming, System Management, Computer Organisation, Data Structure, and Digital Circuits. Your chances of placement also depend on your CGPA which should be preferably above 7. IIIT Delhi offers the flexibility to choose the CSE courses, provided that you complete the minimum credits requirement in the last two years of B.Tech for the degree. In all, I feel, that NSIT and DTU will offer great job opportunities because of their brand name but IIIT Delhi will teach you new things and also offer research opportunities So it’s best to go for NSIT or DTU or IIIT Delhi. The entire B-Tech fees for my CSSS course is 195500 to be paid semester wise and I have paid semester 1 fees i.e. 225000 and remaining fees to be paid after start of semester 1 i.e. 225000 1st year fees : 450000 2nd year fees : 475000 3rd year fees : 500000 4th year fees : 530000 Alumni fees : 2000 (One time to pe paid) Hostel fees Semester wise (4 months 15 days) : 46250 including mess So total B-Tech hostel fees is 370000 Truly I don't know the fees of my batchmates and till date I didn't get any type of scholarships or financial aid .

my college life in a snapshot review

The fee structure for our college is like we have to pay fee in 2 installment in a year like for winter sem one time and for monsoon sem in each semester we have to pay 2,25,000 so the total amount in a year is 4,50,000. There are few scolarship offered by college but those scolarship have a eligblity cretria if you pass the eligblity cretria then you can take those scolarship from the college. the eligblity cretria is you should have 7.5 plus cgpa and no backlogs our college also give laptop to students who cannot afford laptop there are some scolarship for minority (SC,ST) offered by delhi government.

Our course is tough and is even advanced than that of IITs.

IIITD is a college that has given me everything and is next to IIT. The fees is little higher than that of IITs as our college fees is 4.25 lakhs a year excluding the hostel fees. However, we do have many scholarships and Natna and others help students with EWC and SC/ST category to get 30-50% off on their fees.

Being a research oriented college, the academics are hectic.
The fee is really high as compared to other colleges.

The year-wise tuition fee is 4,50,000 Rs. It increases by 10% every year. I am not sure about the fee concession for SC/ST. International students also join our college , whose fees are much higher than hours per semester.

Great college with excellent placements stats but with a extra academic load

The course curriculum is according to new regime making students industry ready

The year wise fees is approximately 5 lakhs comprising of all the facilities such as labs and other charges. Fees of all batchmates is same but there are scholarship for the scholars in jee exam with rank less than 2000.

IIIT-DELHI Best college of Delhi?

Curriculum is rigorous it sometimes takes toll on your mental health.

For 2025 batch per semester fee was 2 lakh hence fees for overall 4 year of btech will 16 lakh if you are hosteller you will have to pay 34000rs per semester in addition to that Rs.8000 for mess fee per semester.Fee is same for every category be it general, ews, st, sc.But you can enroll for multiple scholarship such as Delhi govt mcm scholarship in which student having nfs card gets 100% fee refund i also got my 4 lakh rs fee back after every year.If parent income is upto 2.5 lpa he/she is eligible for 50% fee refund and 25% fee refund in case parental income is 6 lpa. Apart from this IIIT-DELHI has their own scholarship scheme as well criteria same as Delhi govt except student should maintain atleast 6 cgpa.

As I'm a dasa student I am paying 3.4 lakh rupees per semester ,so 6.8 per year . My friends who came from jac are paying 2.25 lakh per semester so 5 lakh per year. I pay in dollars so it may depend on conversion rate honestly.

I have paid my tuition fee for the first year ( both sem-1 and sem-2 ) which is about 4,50,000. To be more specific my semester one fee is 2,00,000 and my semester two fee is around 2,50,000. My tuition fee's structure is First-year --> 4,50,000 second year --> 4,75,000 third year --> 5,00,000 fourth year --> 5,25,000 and all of these fees are tentative, their total is about 19,55,000 which is just tuition fees and if you want to stay in the hostel then the hostel fees and mess fees are different and the total would surely cross the 2,00,000 or maybe 24,00,000. I don't know, I mean I am a day scholar so I didn't even bother to calculate the total fee. By the end of any semester, you will get an email to fill out the fee before the given date, and you can pay part-wise in that it's all your choice but you have to pay it before the deadline, if someone is not able to pay it before the deadline then a heavy fine is imposed on him/her and the fine keep on increasing until you pay it and by any chance, if fine reached a certain level then major action can be taken against the student. You pay the fees by login through ERP, I don't know if they take cash or not but I have paid my fee online. During my JAC counselling when I locked the seat after the fourth they took payment of 95,00,000 which if I don't withdraw from the counselling will be contributed to my fees or sem1 and the rest of the fees I have submitted after my admission. There's no fee reduction in my case ( for OBC candidates), I don't know about SC/ST but there's no fee reduction for OBC candidates even after NCL. There are many scholarship plans some are buying you a laptop or giving 40k at max to buy you a laptop, some paying some part of your college fee but every scheme has particular criteria and most of them have a family income that should be less than 6 LPA. and all the scholarship and all is not valid on the first year so you have to pay that by your own even if you are avail to any scholarship.
