Honest review of DCAC

Likes

Faculty is great expect one - two but still it is manageable
The exposure is real , if you step out of your zone like me probably you will learn a lot about world
Seniors are really friendly and helping in nature

Dislikes

Placement is one thing is on a weaker side but i see they work really hard to get student nternship , placement
The biggest problem is getting an NOC during these internship drives

So I applied to a lot of college what happened really was there was an error in the list and due to that I wasn't able to get into Shivaji College in the round one and yeah I was getting an economics honors from there because my marks was actually higher than that but that just life you know destiny works like that way and I got this college and I am pretty much like happy now that I am in this program I would say II did get rejection from a lot of colleges like and what what was the main thing was one I made list pretty wrong 2nd was my marks weren't really great as well I would say take care of your health before CUET etc because it would really really matter at that time The admission process of the college is simple that you simply give CVT and that most of the time happens

Brief Overview of Delhi College of Arts and Commerce

Likes

College life is really relaxed no pressure as such
The Crowd of Delhi college of Arts and commerce is quite good
The society makes the college more alive and happening

Dislikes

The campus of delhi college of arts and commerce is small as compared to regular college of Delhi University
The attendance system is not rigid but in few class its mandatory for 67%
The college is quite rigid for its fest and event because college happens to be in defense area

Admission:

Honestly this college was the college which flashed after the results of CUET 2024 which wasnt on my list to be honest but now that im in this college i know why its best for me the faculty the course the atmosphere is pretty chill and relaxing

Academic Excellence and Dream Professors, Great Crowd

Likes

The professors are very well qualified and very approachable and helpful, it is a very important part of college life and a great asset for this college.
The crowd is good, the girl to boy ratio is almost equal, and the people are very friendly and supportive, and at least, you will never see anyone fight with each other.
Helpful staff and good location, also, very safe for girls and boys alike.

Dislikes

The campus is very small, has two main buildings, and one canteen the size of a hall, but there are open spaces to sit, not a lot anyways. But the best part about having a small campus is everyone knows everyone so no fights.
There are no serious sports facilities available, the gym is not equipped properly and the sports accessories are also not provided properly.
The college fest is not good at all, completely boring and nothing happens, don't expect anything at all from the college fest.

Admission:

I applied for other University of Delhi colleges for this same course, English Major, I put this college very high up in my preference list because the faculty of this college for English is very good and I after two years at this college, I'm confident I made the right choice. The admission process is through CUET UG examination and then CSAS counselling. You get admission in DCAC at around 600-650 marks for BA

An Aspiring Journalist? Here's why DCAC is the best for you.

Likes

A diverse and friendly crowd that makes you feel at home.
Intellectual and helping faculty to improve one's academic journey.
Numerous societies such as Enactus, Vyapaar, Maktub, Girl Up Tara, Broadway, Vangati and many more to provide hands on experience.

Dislikes

Vehicle parking area is smaller than expected.

Admission:

Delhi College of Arta and Commerce was my first prefernce for Journalism Honours. The media studio to provide hands on experience, the faculty for guidance and the amazing crowd made it my best choice. CUET is important for admission in DCAC. Cutoff for general category is around 680/800. It is lower for SC, ST and OBC. Admission procedure is completely online.

DCAC and It's Crowd

Likes

I really like the intellectual crowd of my college.
It is a very peaceful college without any fights and election drama.
Faculties are very supportive as they take students on trips and tours for the practical experiences and learning.

Dislikes

The Permissions of organizing big events is restricted due to the location of our college.
Infrastructure is not soo Well developed
Lack of classes due to 4th year introduction in NEP.

Admission:

I gave Cuet exam to take admission in this college. This college was on 7th rank in my preferences list as this college is not.much popular and as a outsider I knew only few college of Delhi University but because of normalisation process my marks cut down from 720 to 689 out of 800 which resulted my admission in DCAC. Other colleges which I placed before dcac in my preference list were all north campus colleges. Dcac is a south campus college located near bhikaji cama place metro station.

Likes

I liked the infrastructure of college, location of college is peaceful, however lack of hostel facility.
All the Faculty are very supportive and helpful.
College placement cell are very active, other college committees are active too

Dislikes

Lack of hostel facility make it costly for outside Delhi students.
Nearest metro station is bhikaji kama, either you need to walk for 15 min to reach to metro station, however autos are there running between metro and clg.

Admission:

I have got admission on the merit basis in 2021 , I was getting admission in most of DU colleges, DCAC is the college which is providing articleship opportunity to CA/CS students, also the placement records were very attractive, that's the reason for choosing this college above the other colleges.

One of the Best college in Delhi University with so much opportunities

There is only one aspect that I felt that it should be improved and that is the issuing book's from library and on other hand i appreciate also this because those Books were given needy first as per the requirement and I suggest it should be flexible
The faculty expertise teaching are go excellent because they clear everything thrice and shows their transparency towards their job
And also the infrastructure and it's amenities beautify it's appearance towards the world which is so tough, it's campus life and the canteen are the parts of so many social life's of students.

Dislikes

First things I dislike about the college is there are no placement services given by college as like college and its features it should has placement services.
Second The server of canteen his nature is so rude while serving to the students but the process of making food is hygiene as guidelines given by the college and the server should be changed.
Third that is the Book issuing in library there is guidelines that the book first given to needy first as per their situation but it should be flexible to everyone and it should be changed so that everybody can have the access of excellence.

There are some private colleges like which I have applied as a backup but my luck and hardwork takes me to the Delhi University Best college And that is Delhi college of arts and commerce. And I have got the admission in this college on my merit basis because For admission in DU we have to crack the Exam of CUET then also there is my luck that I have allocated to this college which is best for the arts and commerce students which is so best in there respective field. No I didn't not get any rejection from the other colleges which I have applied because I am fulfilling their every eligibility criteria. First we have to crack the Cuet exam (and for this we can apply for it online when it's portal is open)for admission in this college because it comes under the Delhi University and whose is securing their merit easily allocated to this college and also we can mention our preference while applying for the CUET exam. First we have to crack the Cuet exam and securing the merit There are 7 exams in one semester and there are 2 semester in one year and the most exams are preferred by students is Indian polity. Cutoffs as per the merits list in the cuet exam And overall experience of admission is good and I feel that I deserve this college because I have fulfilled the eligibility criteria and cracked the exam and secured the seats in merit.

the best thing about my collage that i have found the best part is the crowed it offers , in my believe dcac has like the best crowed
and to meet and work with excellent crowed you have absolutely great societys
the faculty of my collage also very good

the infra structure of our collages is one of the negetive parts

i chose thi collage on the basis of its ranking in south campus ,and du in accordance to my cuet marks , but if to be compared with other collages we definatly have a better crowed, and faculty , the process of admisstion is very simple and is done through cuet cutoff

The college has decent library, with almost every book relevant to the courses it offers, apart from this the college also offers access to E Library which is great.
There are number of societies to explore in, where one can test his talent. Weather it is dancing, advertising, singing we have one for each.
The classroom are equiped with projectors to facilitate digital learning. The student council is also great.

Dislikes

The faculty of the college is not decent, no matter how good societies are, the college should be about learning.
We can only get 3 books at a time from library, however we are studying 7 papers in one semester.
The college campus is very small and there is often hustle bustle on busy and important days, also the surrounding area is also redeveloping making it an unhappening place for us.

Admission:

I just want to pursue a foreign language course. So this is the only option in DU, apart from this I have applied to JNU in that I was getting Russian Language but that was not as per my choice. If I was able to make it in JNU, then I might get many Benifits like placements, exposure, and most importantly practical subject to study in an language like, translation tools etc. The admission process is very simple, just appear in CUET, get the score fill out form and bravo you will be selected, if you have a decent one.

I've liked the college faculty and their teachers, they both are really polite and helpful
Location of the college is the best part as the metro station is nearby around 1.2km (bhikaji cama place) and the sarojini nagar is also nearby
College crowd and social life. Delhi college of arts and commerce has most amazing crowd and best social life as they have many societies

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not good as it contains only two old buildings and a small ground overall the college is small but have greenery
No fests , as of now(I'm in 2nd year) college doesn't do any fest in the college and big events

Admission:

So I chosen this College because this College is nearby my home so it's easy to travel for the college. So if also applied for deshbandhu college before this and got confirmed admission from them but I also applied for college upgrade and got delhi college of arts and commerce. So talking about why I choose this College over deshbandhu is because deshbandhu is a off campus college and Dcac comes in south campus college so it's a top rated college comparing with others and Dcac has best faculty and no issues with attendance (it's also a one my reason). Taking about the admission process, as delhi college of arts and commerce comes under delhi University so for taking admission in this you need to give a exam which delhi University conducts called Cuet and after that you need to come under the cutoff for this College as this College has very high cutoff so you need good score in cuet. Taking about my experience about the admission process so it's kinda new thing for me but the process is very simple and my experience was good with it
