What do discipline subjects mean in a BA programme at Delhi College of Arts and Commerce?

At Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, the BA program has 4 subjects in each semester. There are a total of 6 semesters. Discipline subjects are those that students get to choose and they have to study these subjects for the whole 6 semesters. There are many combinations of subjects, such as Economics+English, Political Science+Philosophy, Maths+Economics, etc. Whatever combination you choose you will need to study that for the whole 6 semesters and you can’t change afterward. In the first semester, you will have to study one English (compulsory) and one Ability Enhancement course. You can choose these subjects while applying for admission. The campus is peaceful and ideal for studies. The faculties are great. Other than lectures they will give you information regarding useful seminars and workshops. The rest depends entirely on you. Attendance is not mandatory, so many students choose to bunk classes. But if you want to learn there are great facilities. The library has a huge collection of books.

Which college is better, JMC or DCAC for a BA programme?

I have friends from both JMC and DCAC. Based on their experience, I will say DCAC is a better option. The student crowd at the institute is diverse. Facilities at DCAC are well-experienced and helpful. It got high ratings from NAAC and India Today Magazine. The institute offers add-on certificates and diplomas in foreign language courses. DCAC has great infrastructural facilities. There is a library with a great collection of books. There is also a gym and table tennis room on campus. The auditorium is equipped with special lights and sound effects. DCAC campus has a basketball court, a volleyball court. DCAC is not that strict about attendance. JMC is definitely a reputed college, however, in comparison, DCAC is better.

The Reality of the Parent's Favorite University/ College.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees structure is 1 time payement per year, In 1 year i.e. 2024-25 it was 13300 and in 2 year i.e. 2025-26 was 12300 something. There is each semster a exam form feees which is around 1500 depending upon the subjects chosen. The fees of my bachmates are similar to me, if there is differnece, it would not be more than 1k-2k. I don't know about scholarships but probably there would be scholarships for 9+ cgpa students.

Academic Excellence and Dream Professors, Great Crowd

The addmission is through CSAS counselling and when you're alloted a college you have to pay a lock amount of ?10000/- which is adjusted in the college fees when you finalize your admission, after that, the college itself has a yearly fee of ?10100/- approx. and every semester you have to register yourself for DU examination which costs another ?1000-1100/- per semester, so for the whole year your have to pay about 12500/- as fees, this includes all the fees. This is the same for students of every category and a scholarship is available for students whose family income is below 8 lakh per year, provided by the University of Delhi supposed to refund the fees of the whole year but it's very unreliable and most of the people I know including me got 1-2 thousand rupees only instead of the whole fees as promised.

Yes , Fees is very good only 10000 we can do complete Graduation in 30000 rupees that is very good thing of delhi university also some ews SC st student got some scholarship like 40000 rupees in one year but your family income should be less then 2 lakh their eligible criteria is not good

The fees of course is very nominal and is highly affordable. Scholarship are available for obc Sc and st. Also some states provide additional Scholarship Campus provides vc internship but is available for very limited number of students

The Life in Delhi University - A Fresher's Perspective

the fee structure is inclusive, an amount of 10000, which is generally affordable largely speaking is a good attempt to ensure quality and apt education to all the students. that apart, the other costs are also affordably small. the textbook for a semester cost around 150Rs, which is cheap. plus the canteen and related facilities around the campus are also affordable and filling. various scholarships are available per se, which can be varying based on the socioeconomic conditionss and the college, they can easily be enquired at the college admin block.

Good place always worth

There is no fees hike in Delhi University college when compared with other universities.There are some private universities even charging more tha expected.I got to know about national scholarship program which can avail 10 -15 k .Also there is HDFC scholarship.

The fees of Delhi University are considerably cheaper if we compare with other universities. Apart from this student of lower income background can avail national scholarship program. It can avail them around 11000.

Delhi college of arts and commerce a mystery.

The fees for my course lie between 8000 to 9000. We don't get scholarships or internships. We need to buy books and registers separately. Any other things that are required we have to buy ourselves.

Very good college in whole delhi university

The college is very affordable as the fee is 10500 per year but I do have not to get a scholarship as I am a general category student the scholarships are only available for SC/ST students so I have not got an opportunity for scholarships

Talking about the fee structure I think it depends on the college you are in and the course you have opted for as your subject. The college has a good opportunity for all students along with freshers, which helps them a lot in the future.
