My college review

Likes

Teachers and faculty are good and teachers are very supportive .
Quality of infrastructure is good and campus is also nice .

Dislikes

Checking system was not proper .It should be improved .
In some colleges while examinations there is no facility at that time .

Campus Life:

Books are available at centres it's cost is included in the one year fees . Books are of good quality and language is so easy to understand. Most of the students run many whatsapp groups which is very useful for many students due to the groups they can easily connected with the college without regularly going there .

DU SOL my experience

Likes

It depends on you whether you want to go to college for study
There is no problem of short attendance in this

Dislikes

In this, you can study your college at any location, even far away
Teachers do not pay proper attention to the students in the classes

Campus Life:

There are no activities in DU SOL, there are no sports activities either because it is open. DU SOL people provide us a virtual library on our dashboard from where we can read books. In this, no student runs any social group or club but to provide 2-3 information to the students, there is a group on WhatsApp where you can get all the information from time to time

I still remember my college days

Likes

The classes there were very good and big and there was also more conditioning in them, so that we did not have any tension of heat while studying.
And the teachers there used to teach very well and explain well and also make our run clear

Campus Life:

Yes, there were social programs in my college but I never participated in them because I was scared of going to the stage, so I never took part in any stage performances. I have participated in a project in which I have never gone in front of anyone

They have doubt lecture once a week thats on sunday
They have online based videos on offical website for students to study.

Campus Life:

As its a distance learning institute it doesn't have any programs . But we do have seminars and tree plantation kinds of program . Seminars are held by great people and it has very effective role in shaping the mindset of students.

My Life at SOL

Likes

As my course was an open course, I was allowed complete freedom about what to do with the rest of my time. I used that time to apply for a course that would help me in my future career growth and development.
The course was extremely cheap and affordable and allowed me to save a lot of expenses

Dislikes

The faculty and other staff members were not quite attentive and responsive to the students needs
The future growth prospects of this course are extremely limited

Campus Life:

Since SOL is focused on distance education,the traditional daily interaction with peers may not be as frequent as other colleges. But, despite the distance-learning setup, SOL does have a vibrant study community, and studentsform informal groups to help each other.

Likes

Like the infrastructure it was well maintained and clean
Classes are cleaned and maintained and manage properly

Dislikes

They are not panctual about the work and files of students

Campus Life:

It was good you can still interact with other to maintain your social life the collage didn't provide any other activities like sports and extracurricular activities you are only able to get classes there on weekends only or other activities are not allowed untill you have the course related to sports

SOL OPEN UNIVERSITY REVIEW

Likes

Students and senior are helpful. There are many telegram channel where they help each other
You get nearby examination center within delhi. If you are residence of delhi

Dislikes

If you are not from delhi, you have to come to delhi for examinations for examination.

Campus Life:

There are classes on Sunday if you want you can attend classes. You can also acces to library my library card for which you have to pay. There are also some curriculum but i personally never attened that.

If you want distance learning college why to choose sSOL over IGNOU

Likes

One to one interaction with teacher which always helped me to study better .
The college was selected according to students area , basically depends on the nearest available centre in North campus and south campus.

Dislikes

The building didn't have much space , the corridors were small
There's no auditorium, the canteen food isn't that good.

Campus Life:

Fests were organised in regular college only not is sol but being a student of Delhi University I can actually go to any other college under delhi University. The library was a very dusty place but while I was in 3 year they started to renovate everything and digitalized most of he stuff . Sports area wasn't in the college. No such students run social groups were there .

My Happy place

Likes

Academic environment The faculty experties was impressive with many profecersHolding advance degree
The teaching method was amazing incorporationg a mix of traditional lectures

Dislikes

Faculty availiblity while most professers were accesible
Gender ratio The gender ratio around70:30 to boys could have been more balanced

Campus Life:

Campus life social aspects ,Club involment and infrastructure Annual and technical Cultural festival the college organised cultural festival called "Cultura" usually held in februray and march this event brought together students

My colleague life

Likes

I choose to sol just because of the fact that I can pursue other things also. In short it gave me lots of freedom
As i mentioned above freedom and time saving was the biggest merit

Dislikes

Exam centres were very very far from my location. I used to live in east Delhi
Infrastructure was something which needed improvement

Campus Life:

I seriously don't remember anything because of time gap. Talking about range and accessibility of books and other required study material. It was provided by college. Room has all the required amenities for students. I don't remember if any student who run social group, clubs etc
