Faculty of Law- Delhi University Review

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

The course structure is quiet different from 5 year LLB as the college provides case based study. It is more good for the real law world as we understand the Law from the core, its history, interpretation and applications of the law.

What are the internship opportunities in the campus?

Ther college provide few internship opportunities but you easily get internship from outside as DU is a brand name so one get easilty get an internship .During internship one majorly get research work. court visits and once you are good with it few internship some internship even provide drafting work.

Yearly fees structure of the course

The per year fee for 3year LLB course in Delhi University is approx Rs.5000-6000 Additionally semester fee is to be paid of approximately Rs.1200-1400 The Total fee for a 3 year LLB is just around Rs.18000. There is not additional fee.

Students views about the campus life

The campus life is amazing as the Faculty is at North campus which is famous for college life. One the biggest festival here is the election time. Also you can go to other colleges during there fest. As everyone in this college has already done there Grad in different field so you get to interact with student from various field, understand things from there perspective which is amazing.

Faculty and learning experience in the campus

So there are very few faculties in the college but they all are very good. Quality over quantity. There are teachers like Saurav rana and Belu Ma'am who are former judges. They have very good command on the law, Bare acts, cases.

What is the admission process of the campus?

I am a graduate in Bcom hons from DU itself and I wanted to pursue 3year LLB and DU provides one the best course for 3 year LLB. But I would like to mention that today the relevance of year LLB is more tha 3 year LLB. For admission earlier DU used to conduct DULLB exam but today for admission one need to sit for CUETPG.

Admission:

The application form process waa really easy. We had a college desk open during the college hours for the admission. Eligibility of the course is any graduate in any stream . The exams conducted are pretty much standardised and are held twice annually as per the semestee system followed so we have 6 semesters in total divided over a period of 3 years of the law school. The admission process could have been made better in a way that there should be a buddy assigned to each new applicant for guidance at ang step and also the college helpline numbers can be made more responsive.

The Faculty of Law, Delhi University, does not offer admission without an entrance exam. For the LL.B. programme, admission is through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) score for the five-year course, and you must qualify for the exam to be eligible. For other law courses like LL.M., entry is also based on an entrance exam or test merit.
