As in CLAT, only a single raw scoring model is used; the final answer key can be directly determined using AIR Rank without a normalisation process.

  • In the CLAT Exam, your accuracy will matter more than the number of attempts; if you guess too many, your score can be reduced because of negative marking.
  • There is no partial marking, with all questions being single-choice objective questions.

CLAT Score Calculation: Marking Scheme 2026

Particulars Details Impact on Score
Total Questions 120 (MCQs) Determines max raw score
Marks for Each Correct Answer +1 Increases overall score
Penalty for Each Wrong Answer –0.25 Negative impact: reduces marks
Marks for Unanswered Questions 0 No change in total score

The application form process waa really easy. We had a college desk open during the college hours for the admission. Eligibility of the course is any graduate in any stream . The exams conducted are pretty much standardised and are held twice annually as per the semestee system followed so we have 6 semesters in total divided over a period of 3 years of the law school. The admission process could have been made better in a way that there should be a buddy assigned to each new applicant for guidance at ang step and also the college helpline numbers can be made more responsive.
