National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University of Law, commonly referred to as NALSAR Hyderabad, is a leading law school which is situated in Shamirpet, Hyderabad, Telangana, founded in 1998. It was incorporated by the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University Act, 1998, by the State of Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana). The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), has been approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and has been given an ‘A’ grade by NAAC.

NALSAR Hyderabad provides numerous programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, including its flagship 5-year integrated B.A. LL.B. NALSAR University Eligibility Criteria

For B.A.+LL.B. (Hons.)

Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/PwD).
Admission is through CLAT UG, based purely on merit ranking.
Students appearing in Class 12 exams can also apply provisionally.
Foreign Nationals must have secured at least 65% marks in the Higher Secondary (10+2) system or equivalent examination.

For LL.M.

Applicants must hold an LL.B. degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD).
Admission is based on CLAT PG entrance test performance.
Final-year LL.B. students are eligible to apply, subject to submission of results before admission.

For BBA + MBA (Integrated, 5 Years)

For MBA (Court Management / Business Laws, 2 Years)

The freindly nature of the peers on campus, is the biggest support system
the libarty and equity principles that are a part of the campus spirit that allows and natures lawyers and future politicians
having a hospital on this campus makes you feeel safe and taken care of

Dislikes

The mess food at times is bad and the eatries need to be developed
The location of the campus is not ideal and is located very farawy from the city making the commute to the airport or the railways station crumbersome

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

I would rate the course curriculum highly and student-friendly; each subject is divided into two parts taught over 8 months. The curriculum, unlike other law schools, is very focused on the idea of practicality of the use of law. The art subjects combined with a few special NALSAR caveats like Law and Poverty make each a every student an informed citizen and also expands the area of growth

What are the internship opportunities in the campus?

There is an internship Committee, but more than that, it's the Alum network that keeps giving out referrals and jobs. From a well groomed personality to soft skills learning we are taught it all at NALSAR.
From debates, to moot courts to extra curricular activities we have them all at our campus and it's because of that students here are developed so well.

Dislikes

Location as both Hyderabad Railway Station and Airport are far off from here.

Admission:

Well, i rejected NLSIU Bangalore for NALSAR as NALSAR was the place I always wanted to be. Admission is from the rank that you get in CLAT as in December every year, the CLAR exams are conducted and by February results are out. From May we can apply and by June we get confirmation too. This is the procedure and this is how students are getting admission here.

The campus is very pleasant,you can see greenary ,colorful show flowers which makes you feel fresh.

I don't say I completely dislike but there are monkeys and dogs on campus, They don't harm us but I am scared of them because they comes towards us for love ,but eyefeast for dogs lover.

Actually I written CLAT and IIM Rohtak ,but I also applied for IPM Nalsar, for many reasons I couldn't make into National law universities , but I got the best opportunity to learn IPM in the same National Law University which is one of my dream University. I didn't aim for any specific college ,but applied for many to get one among that , I got selected in IPL Rohtak, SLAT Hyderabad, many other prestigious private colleges but chosen Nalsar IPM because of many reasons like it is in Hyderabad,fee structure, future plans etc. When I joined IPM Nalsar I got shortlisted for my CLAT score ,later they also consider our 10,12 th grades and shortlist for the interview later they provide seat, we need to show our confirmation by paying 50000, which would be added to our fees when we joined. Now they are in the process to put separate exam. They are modifing in different ways to make it competitive enough and give best to the students who enrolled for the course

WHY NALSAR ABOVE OTHER NLU'S

The health centre of the campus is too good to be true. Having a hospital in the campus makes you feel safe and the doctors are heavily experienced.
The sports culture in the campus is huge and engaging. No discrimination whatsoever.

Admission:

The admissions are through the CLAT exam which is difficult to crack. NALSAR stands at third in all the National law Universities (NLU's) so this is a good space to be in for future career prospects. I didn't apply anywhere else except NALSAR as this has always been a dream. It took me two attempts to crack this esteemed exam.

Law is a profession that promises a lot of versatility. According to some of my friends who opted for Law, you can pursue a number of avenues if you have a degree in law. Some of them include:

Judiciary: If you are interested in joining the judicial level then go for IJS. It conducts competitive exams, prelims, finals, interviews and also training. It is very similar to the IAS.
Teaching: Once you complete your Masters, you will have to crack the NET or the National Eligibility Test which is conducted by the UPSC and start working as an assistant professor in a government college or university. Some private institutes even accept candidates who have not cleared the NET.
General Counsel: You can also join a company and work as their in-house legal advisor. You will take care of compliance and be in charge of settling disputes faced by the company.
Law Firm: You can try being a legal associate with a law firm. The compensation you will receive is directly proportional to the reputation of the firm.
LPO: You can work as an associate of a firm that is involved in outsourcing and caters to high profile clients. This may also include contracts. This can get you international exposure.

Last but not the least; you can try your hand in litigation: This is the most traditional form of law practice. You will have to go to courts, interact with clients, address the jury and judges, etc. This will get you a lot of clout.

What is the market value of a PG Diploma in Cyber Law from NALSAR University, Hyderabad?

My brother recently graduated from Nalsar University, so I can give you some information regarding the institute.

There is no real (job) market value of doing a PG diploma in Cyber Law from NALSAR Hyderabad if you’re a non-law graduate. This diploma won’t fetch you a cyber laws-related job or earn you a raise or a promotion.

You will find this degree useful only if you have an LLB or an LLM degree.

However, The course is great. Even if you are a non-law graduate, it will be an enriching experience for you especially if you can attend the contact classes which are normally organized by legal experts, experienced professors.

Now in the recent placement drive, the highest salary offered for PG Diploma in Cyber Law was INR 36 LPA and the average package offered was INR 6 LPA.

Can we crack the CLAT with 1 month prep and get into NALSAR?

Yes, it is possible to get into a top-rank NLU such as NLSIU, NALSAR or WBNUJS, etc. But this all depends on the strategy you have prepared. There are some CLAT achievers who join for a crash course. They study 8 hours a day rigorously. So, to get the same performance in 1 month is nearly impossible.

For CLAT GK is a crucial component. It comprises 50 questions.
You need to go through 1 year of Current Affairs focused on the CLAT pattern which comprises awards, political and executive appointments, mergers, etc.
Download old CLAT papers and look into the types of questions.
After that, make a strategy and prepare accordingly.
The Maths section is of basic level. So going through NCERT books will be a lot of help.
Verbal is about reading, grammar, and vocabulary. So revise your grammar concepts from your books.
Legal Aptitude is the most crucial element in CLAT and comprises 50 questions and here where tuitions play a role.
A good law teacher can help you crack CLAT without any hurdles.
Logical reasoning is again like maths, reading, and logic. This requires you to master the concepts and practice immensely.

So, it is suggested that you join the tuition classes for a crash course and dedicate 8 hours of your time to CLAT preparation. Cracking CLAT will only be possible if you work hard.

Will I be able to make it to NALSAR with decent mock scores between 110-120 (123 being highest) with domicile reservation?

According to the public record, the number of domestic seats is around 22. So, you can have a chance to get admission, if students who score above you are from the non-domicile category.

It is absolutely possible to prepare for the exam in such a short period. Just maintain the balance and if you could, devote more time for preparation. Strategic time management and discipline are what you need.

Work on the derivations in Physics and concepts. Read current affairs in between and this will be a good way to work in balance.

The admission to the LLM program at the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law, Hyderabad, requires a valid CLAT PG (Postgraduate) score. The university does not offer direct admission to the LLM course without CLAT PG

Yes, a CAT percentile (or XAT/GMAT) is required for admission to the MBA at NALSAR DoMS. Candidates must have a valid CAT/XAT/GMAT/XRE score; those below the 70th percentile in CAT/XAT or scoring 600 in GMAT must take NALSAR’s own NMET(PG) entrance exam.

LLB programs are not offered in open-distance learning mode. The Bar Council of India does not approve LLB programs offered in open-distance mode. You can pursue the said program in on-campus mode only. You can apply for admission after completing a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university.
