NALSAR is best NLU in the country!

Likes

Our faculties are alumni of NALSAR and therefore they are aware of the culture.
Faculties push us to ask for help and that was something new.

Dislikes

Too hectic as daily 9 to 4 classes and just an hour or lunch break inbetween.
Smoking culture here is little high and common between students.

Admission:

CLAT top scorers if from general category then that is the only way of getting admission in NALSAR. I wish there were two ways to it but sadly there aren't any and that is the most unfortunate thing. Nearly 10 of our friends who did CLAT classes together had one dream that was to get admission in NALSAR and only I could as my CLAT rank was under 100.

Life at NALSAR

The campus is beautiful, quite energetic and lovely vibes all over
The classrooms are spacious and quite well developed
Faculty are quite helpful and many are nalsar alumini, good teaching techniques

Hard passing the clat exam and getting admission

I didn't apply to many colleges but applied to nlsiu bengaluru , nuals kochi and RMLNLU in lucknow was rejected from nlsiu in bengaluru and accepted in NUALS kochi and RMLNLU in lucknow all these are top colleges Admissions can be taken by qualifying clat exam which happens once a year I got rejected from NLSIU IN bengaluru, i think it was because of my marks The exam consist of 120 questions and include subjects like english, current affairs , legal reasoning and logical reasoning and quantitative techniques The cutoff for NALSAR is around 90 in general category and for NLSIU is 110 and my score was less than 110 got rejected from NLSIU FOR ADMISSION: write clat and qualify with cutoff marks for NALSAR in exam Counselling process: all over india Choose the colleges you wanna go and wait for results The results are based on marks and colleges selected Go to the alloted college and submit the documents for the course choosen

The best campus with best facilities and faculties both.
Community sense which is fostered here is next level as one can have million choices as per their interests.
The life environment overall is better as we have the best hostel facilities here.

You just give the CLAT and be in top 200 of you are a general category student. Nearly 500 thousand students give CLAT and some even drop out to get here but I got here in first attempt and this is probably my biggest achievement.

NALSAR means dream come true!!

Likes

Analytical skills and critical thinking both are taught here and without these two armoury one can never become a good lawyer.
From a well groomed personality to soft skills learning we are taught it all at NALSAR.
From debates, to moot courts to extra curricular activities we have them all at our campus and it's because of that students here are developed so well.

Dislikes

Location as both Hyderabad Railway Station and Airport are far off from here.

Admission:

Well, i rejected NLSIU Bangalore for NALSAR as NALSAR was the place I always wanted to be. Admission is from the rank that you get in CLAT as in December every year, the CLAR exams are conducted and by February results are out. From May we can apply and by June we get confirmation too. This is the procedure and this is how students are getting admission here.

NALSAR is a GOAT College for Law!!

Likes

NALSAR don't just have national but international standing as well.
Only the top universities and LAW here means more of corporate law studies as its corporate kind of college.
Apart from Law college has also started management courses as well and hence expanded its territory.

Dislikes

Some areas or parts of college needs serious renovation as campus is little old.

CLAT 112 was my rank and NLSIU was anyways not the one I thought about and therefore NALSAR was my choice and I got it as well. Infact my second option was GNLU Gandhinagar but it is nowhere close to us and hence I am at the best law college of the country.

Likes

Campus vibe infrastructure greenary it brings alot peace
The open and liberal culture, here no-one judge anyone for doing or wearing anything
The friendly and helpful nature of professors in first year, they actually are eager to provide help to us

Dislikes

Group division, like there is some sought of segregation between people of different backgrounds
Drinking and smoking culture is very prevalent
Law school is hectic, sometimes it gets too much

I gave Clat 2024 and in first merit list i got Nalsar Hyderabad through consortium counselling. I was earlier thinking of nls banglore but i preferred nalsar above nls coz nalsar is pretty much chill and it's curriculum semester are much more relaxing than the trimester that nls have.

My experience in Nalsar

Likes

The faculty members are well knowledgeable persons, they all are PhD degree holders.
The campus is very pleasant,you can see greenary ,colorful show flowers which makes you feel fresh.
The campus provides sports facilities to the students which highlights the physical health is important, we have badminton, basketball,foot ball turf

Dislikes

I don't say I completely dislike but there are monkeys and dogs on campus, They don't harm us but I am scared of them because they comes towards us for love ,but eyefeast for dogs lover.
Guest lecturers are good thought because it brings best faculty for the subject, but sometimes it is not a wise option because it is difficult to reach the faculty if we have any doubts, even few responds they may respond late.

Admission:

Actually I written CLAT and IIM Rohtak ,but I also applied for IPM Nalsar, for many reasons I couldn't make into National law universities , but I got the best opportunity to learn IPM in the same National Law University which is one of my dream University. I didn't aim for any specific college ,but applied for many to get one among that , I got selected in IPL Rohtak, SLAT Hyderabad, many other prestigious private colleges but chosen Nalsar IPM because of many reasons like it is in Hyderabad,fee structure, future plans etc. When I joined IPM Nalsar I got shortlisted for my CLAT score ,later they also consider our 10,12 th grades and shortlist for the interview later they provide seat, we need to show our confirmation by paying 50000, which would be added to our fees when we joined. Now they are in the process to put separate exam. They are modifing in different ways to make it competitive enough and give best to the students who enrolled for the course

The college has an excellent peer community that is always avalible for academic and other helps. The Alumni base is really strong and is always keen on providing a helping hand to the current students of the college.
The college has 50+ acre green lush campus away from the city amidst a peaceful environment. The campus is really beautiful and soothing.
Courses are specifically designed to cater to the needs of the society. The electives are specially designed for this purpose. In later years, the college provides immense freedom to choose electives.

Admission:

Nalsar is the third best Law College in the country according to the NIRF Rankings. It is the highest NAAC accredited law college with an accredition of A++. The college has a commendable placement record. The college takes admission through CLAT

The exposure is really great. You meet with a very diverse group of people

There is a department of management. This is supposed to be a law University
The location of the college. It is 40 km away from the city
The fees is too much when it is supposed to be a government college

I chose this college because it is the second best law college of our country. I didn't apply to any other college. The admision is through a national exam, known as CLAT. I was AIR 163 and got admitted into NALSAR

Likes

Lush, green campus atmosphere. Great for times outside of classes.
Consistent fests throughout the year. Never a dull moment.

I had applied to Nlud as well but decided not to go as nalsar is closer to home and better for corporate. Nalsar primarily accepts admissions from the CLAT exam with cutoffs going into 300s Foreign nationals can apply based on 12th board or equivalent exam marks.

How many marks should I get in the CLAT for getting an admission into Nalsar and NLSIU?

The marks required for getting admission change every year as the level of difficulty also changes each year.

According to some of my friends studying there, CLAT sets a tough paper one year and an easy paper the next year and vice versa. However, this should not be taken for granted.

If the paper is tough, then a score of 120-135 is enough to get admission to both colleges.
If the paper is easy then you need to score around 170-185 for securing the admission.
Basically, you need to be in the top 120 students of the CLAT test takers to secure admission and what is the actual score will depend on the level of difficulty of the paper.

Do not think of a particular score while attempting CLAT as this will hamper your chances. You should aim to give your best and attempt any number of questions you think are possible on your part.

Can I crack CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) and get into NLSIU or NALSAR after taking Science in 12th?

If you want to appear for CLAT, it does not matter what stream you were following in your higher secondary years. CLAT does not check your knowledge about a particular stream but it tests your aptitudes.

If you work hard then you will definitely be able to get the admission nod from NLSIU or NALSAR.
Since you are in your 10(+2), manage your time carefully between preparing for your board exams and preparing for CLAT.
You must have a strong foundation in general knowledge, legal aptitude, English, mathematics or quantitative aptitude, and logical reasoning if you want to appear for the CLAT.

The exams tend to be very competitive and they are not as easy as they look. Try to take mock exams and solve the questions of the previous years to get acquainted with the pattern in which the exams are held.

Yes, It is possible to do so. If you prepare thoroughly over the next five months, you would easily get admission at NALSAR.

Concentrate on the areas of your preparation where you are making mistakes. Take a test series from any reputable CLAT coaching institution.
You can attempt several mock tests throughout your preparation journey to ensure that you ace the examination with an extremely good score.
Also, don’t be anxious because of the score you achieved last year. You can do better in your next attempt at the examination. CLAT paper is different for every year.
Ensure to complete the current affairs sections as soon as possible.
Do practice Mathematics and questions related to Laws for a better result. Many aspirants make a mistake that has become very common nowadays and that is to not prepare those sections in which they are good during the last moments.

Consistency is what would help you achieve a good score in the exam. Always maintain a balance among the areas of your strengths and weaknesses.

How many marks should I get in CLAT to get a seat in Nalsar?

CLAT is all about percentile and not the percentage. It is not about how much you score but how much you score when compared to all other aspirants that appear in the entrance exam along with you.

For NALSAR, the cut-off is between 130 to 140 marks out of 200 for the general category. If you manage to be in the top 120 ranks in the country, your seat is secured at NALSAR.

If the difficulty of the exam is easy then you expect the cut-off to be a bit relaxed. You can expect it to be between 170-185.
