NALSAR LLM Admission 2023 is open now. Admission to the program is based on CLAT PG scores and counselling. The CLAT PG 2023 Second allotment list will be released by January 27, 2023. The third allotment list will be released on May 25, 2023. The Fourth and the Fifth allotment list will be available on June 5 and June 15, 2023 respectively.
The university offers LLM programmes in 6 six specializations. Candidates seeking admission into NALSAR LLM courses must clear the CLAT PG exam. They have to choose NALSAR as their institute for study while registering for CLAT. To be eligible for the exam, candidates must have secured 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) in LLB or any other equivalent.

NALSAR LLM Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have at least 55% marks in LLB or equivalent degree.
- For reserved categories, the minimum required score is 50%.
- Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible for admission.
For Telangana Residents
They must satisfy CLAT eligibility as well as they must have studied in the State of Telangana for four consecutive years and appear for the qualifying examination in the same State.

NALSAR LLM Admission Process
Post clearing the CLAT exam candidates need to participate in the CLAT counseling. Here is the detailed process:
- Candidates need to log in to their CLAT account
- A list of institutes allotted to them will appear as per the choices they filled during CLAT Registration.
- For those who have allotted NALSAR and wanted to take admission can lock their choices and pay the counseling fee.
- For those who have allocated different colleges and want NALSAR can go for an upgrade option and wait for the second list.
- Counseling fee for CLAT is INR 50000/-.
NALSAR LLM Entrance Exam Pattern
Admission to the NALSAR LLM program is based on the CLAT PG examination and candidates are required to appear in this exam.
CLAT PG will be of 120 minutes with 2 exam sections that are Constitutional Law and Other Law Subjects .120 MCQs-based questions will be asked with a negative marking of 0.25 marks. 60 questions from each section will be asked carrying 1 mark each.
NALSAR LLM Application Process
For admission in NALSAR LLM Course. Candidate needs to apply for the CLAT Exam. Here is the detailed application process:
- Candidates can register at the official CLAT website.
- After registration, candidates will receive CAPS User ID and Password on the Email address and Mobile number provided by them.
- After logging-in, the candidate should fill the online application form and upload essential documents.
- The candidate will then proceed to the “Payment of the Application Fee” section where fees can be submitted either online or through Challan.
- Candidates can submit the application fee of INR 4000/- (unreserved/ OBC/ SAP category candidates) and INR 3500/- (SC/ST category candidates) through net banking, debit card/credit card.
- Candidates can also generate a Bank Challan, take its printout and submit the fee through it, in cash, at any ICICI branch.
- Upon successful payment, the same will be updated in the candidate’s profile on the CLAT Online Application Interface.
Foreign nationals need not take CLAT and should apply to NALSAR directly.

NALSAR LLM Course Details
Nalsar offers one year LLM degree under the following specializations
- 1) Corporate and Commercial Laws (including consumer laws);
- 2) Intellectual Property Laws;
- 3) Legal Pedagogy and Research;
- 4) International Trade and Business Laws;
- 5) Personal Laws;
- 6) Criminal Laws and
- 7) Public Law and Legal Theory.
Candidates admitted to the One Year LL.M. Degree program at NALSAR University of Law can pursue specialized or general LL.M. A student also has to acquire 18 credits in a particular specialization to secure an L.L.M. degree with the specialization mentioned earlier.
Candidates are required to earn a total of 36 credits to acquire an LLM degree as follows
- Mandatory courses:12 credits
- Seminar Courses: 9 credits
- Elective Courses: 9 credits
- Submissions of Dissertation: 6 credits
