I think its a reasonable course being 8.5lakh for the entire course, provided you are given scholarships and financial assistance.This fee includes everything from mess, hostel rooms,library,24/7 internet connectivity in the entire campus. The beautiful lake in the campus. The campus could make your 2 years the most memorable.

There is no such thing as a fee hike policy but NLASAR fees are already too high and almost all NLUs have fees ranging from 2 to 75 lakhs a year which is a pretty good amount for a middle-class Indian. The Vice-Chancellor shall be the Patron of the University Scholarship committee and shall exercise final authority over all decisions regarding scholarship regulations and disbursal. The eligibility criteria for the scholarship annual income of parents of the student shall not exceed 800000 In the case of 2nd to 5th-year students, they should have scored a minimum CGPA required for passing till the last academic year. The minimum CGPA should be 6.0 on the 10-point CGPA scale or its equivalent grade of B+.

The fee structure is a little daunting. It's 92,000 for the 1st year. But scholarships are available for the needy whose annual income is less than 8 lakh rupees. The details can be found in the administration department. Sadly, there are no campus jobs available.
The university has regulation for loans, scholarship, fee concession. It is ranked 3rd for all India basis law college. NALSAR University allows many private companies to offer scholarship for the students.
