Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would rate the course curriculum highly and student-friendly; each subject is divided into two parts taught over 8 months. The curriculum, unlike other law schools, is very focused on the idea of practicality of the use of law. The art subjects combined with a few special NALSAR caveats like Law and Poverty make each a every student an informed citizen and also expands the area of growth

Internships Opportunities

5

There is an internship Committee, but more than that, it's the Alum network that keeps giving out referrals and jobs. The faculty and the guest lecturers are also people who are at the top of their game and are good at connecting students with contacts that can help them get internship opportunities at the most premium firms and every High Court.

Placement Experience

5

A recruitment committee is created every year. They ensure that every child of the graduating batch leaves with his/her future secured. The college has successfully run in the past few years by ensuring that top law firms like CAM, SAM, and Trilegal recruit from this uni. Private companies like Dellotie and ICCI Bank are also hiring from this university.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is around 2.8 lakh per annum, which is used for all the necessities and one lakh ten thousand of the tutorial fees. The fees also include access to the library, gym equipment, multi-purpose sports turf and internet facilities.

Campus Life

5

Many clubs, like the Pro Bono and Legal Aid, are at the top of the field. The college has a flourishing publication ecosystem. The sports culture is inclusive and growing. There is a lack of cultural activities, though, which is very much expected in a law school. The student body indulges in the celebration of 8 different fests that are spaced throughout the year

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel accommodation, while livable, requires some improvement, and cleanliness is an issue. The culture of NALSAR does make it easy to accommodate. The admin is more than happy to provide special accommodation for differently enabled kids and making sure they are able to be a part of the student culture as much as they reasonably can

Admission

My reasons for choosing this college are vast but can be boiled down to there pristine reputation and an environment that allows political dissent and opinion to rise. They also rank as the highest law college in NAAC rating, making the choice evident. The stellar placement track record combined with an alum network ready help makes NALSAR a worth while choice

Faculty

5

The very nature of this college, being the law school in the country and one of if not the best law universities in south Asia, means that it does attract a lot of big names in academia the professors here are the best in their respective fields of law. there are still areas of improvement though, better faculty for BA subjects is something which will be greatly appreciated.

Overall every student here are placed and in corporate houses as NALSAR unlike other NLUs where litigation is at the forefront, here it's Corporate LAW. So, i am quite happy and little skeptical too that, i get the top placements as next year onwards as we enter the final year, we will stand qualified for placements.

our Internships and grades as in law studies everything matters. Some students dont do internships on purpose and those students dont get placements even though they are at NALSAR. Students who have done all of it get placed easily with a package of 15 lakhs or more.

The best thing about NALSAR is that not just law firms but also the best of corporate houses like the E&Y group, Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro and many such companies come and add lawyers in their decorated legal team. Around 80% of the students are placed through campus and average salary is a dream one as no one offers a law student 12-15 lakhs can only happen at NALSAR.

Corporate houses like the IT firms, the hospitals and manufacturing sector too, you name it and we have such organizations making sure we get the best placements ever. While rest NLUs average placements are around 10 lakhs ours is close to 15 lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There have been excelent campus placements from our college where people have gotten a starting offer of 12LPA as a newbie. Students are eligible for campus placement only in their last semester. If students want to work in their 4th year, they dont provide them attendance for work and are hence unable to pursue serious work. Out of 300 students in a batch, an approximate of 70 people get placed every year. With regard to internships, however, one has to find their own internship. We are given mentors for help in this area but they can only do so much as share lawctopus links that i can find myself. I plan on getting my degree and pursue LLM abroad.

Placement Experience:

Placement for the MBA and B pharma course in NMIMS Hyderabad campus is excellent although for law since only one batch has graduated so far the placement offers have been a bit slow. However the placement committee has done an excellent job everytime during student internship process. There are tier 1 firms that are also currently recruiting nmims students. The only issue is the location of the campus which makes assessment internships difficult. But that issue is temporarily fixed by having the final year students take their classes in the hyderabad city campus to make it easier for them to have an internship and still attend classes
