GNLU Gandhinagar offers a 1 year LLM and a 2 year MBA in Financial Management & Business Laws at the PG level. LLM: The eligibility for admission to the LLM program at GNLU Gandhinagar is that the candidates must have an LLB (or equivalent degree in law) from a recognized university, with not less than 50% marks (45% in the case of SC/ST candidates). The LLM program is divided into two semesters. The Semester 1 curriculum is divided into 4 groups: corporate and business law, constitutional and corporate law, criminal and security law, and intellectual property law. MBA: The MBA in Financial Management and Business Laws is a 2-year full-time residential program to nurture the managerial and legal acumen of participants. The eligibility criteria for this program is that the candidates must have graduated from a recognized university or institute with a minimum qualification in OR with commerce, management, law, arts, science and engineering, except fine arts. Additionally, they must have passed their bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks.

The Centre for Law and Economics at GNLU has always tried to reach out to bright and young minds who have a keen interest in employing economic tools and theories for legal analysis. GNLU offers a Ph.D. degree course in Economics to promote academic skill and research vigor in the fields of Economics and Law. Here are the aims and objectives of CLE: To show how law and economics can contribute to policy making, and thereby, improve the current socio-economic problems. He is an Indian film director and academician, and is best known for his contribution to the Gujarati Cinema. He has worked in some good films like Mrugtrushna, Keri, Lakiro, etc. In 2022, four graduates of GNLU cleared the exam for Civil Judge in the Gujarat Lower Judiciary. Gujarat National Law University, or GNLU, is an esteemed national law university established in 2003 under the Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003. Navigating GNLU: a college in the heart of greenery

Likes

The sense of community that the college provides in the form of mandatory residential course.
Professors are very friendly and approachable, they act as your guardians and guide you in the best direction for you.
The campus is beautiful with greenery everywhere, it's located near the premier GIFT City and has its own metro station

Dislikes

Law program is a very demanding course and the pressure one faces while studying is very extreme.
Batch strength is too large which makes it difficult to make solid interpersonal relationships with people

Course curriculum and examination pattern in the college

Law has been my passion since my early teen years, seeing law programmes on tv and a penchant for reading and critical thinking influenced my decision to choose law. The curriculum in gnlu is updated every year and is tailored according to the needs of current times. We have two components of Evaluation in a paper, one is Internal continuous evaluation of 50 marks and the other is End semester exams of 50 marks.

What are the internship opportunities in the campus?

College each year puts out an internship for research internship, in which you have to assist a faculty in researching for various aspects of law related to one topic. The duration for this internship is 2 months and students are paid a stipend of 10,000/- rs.

Placement opportunities in the campus and average package

Students become eligible for placements as soon as they enter 5th year when the day zero is conducted. On the said day, atleast 5-6 tier-1 law firms come to induct students into their offices. Average package ranges around 14-16 lakhs. Last year around 80% stufents got offers from various firms

Total fees structure of the course

The complete cost of education at GNLU sums up to 12,50,000/- rs. GNLU has provided a lot of scholarships for students coming from weaker sections kf the society, there is a GLASS program which provides scholarship of upto 1000/- rs to meritorious students choosing to take litigation as their careers.

Various clubs, fest and library of the college

GNLU has two annual fests, Justice League and Pentagram, the former is a sports fest while the latter is a cultural fest, they are held in the even semester. The social life of campus is vibrant. The library has subscription to all different kinds of law reports and magazines making it a highly valuable resource. There are many clubs in gnlu like quizzing club, GWIC, board games club etc.

On-campus living facilities

Hostel for boys don't have single occupancy rooms. You have to share the room with anothers student. The mess food is the best among all the NLUs. The process for registering for hostel is conducted on the orientation day itself and is a matter of minutes.

Faculty and learning experience in the campus

GNLU has faculties specialising in multiple areas of law, at the same time it has a Training Research Assistant programme which allows PHD students to assist the faculties in teaching so at any point of time there are 2 to 3 faculties available for each subject to teach. Admission process of the college and eligibility criteria

The admission is based on the marks and rank obtained via CLAT exam. To be eligible for the CLAT, you must have at least 45% overall in your Class 12 exams or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board or institution. The minimum required percentage for candidates in the SC/ST category is 40%. CLAT happens once every year and is conducted in online mode

Admission:

I applied to various colleges like NIRMA, Bhariya Vidyapeeth College, where I got confirmed admission, and NLSIU in the NRI quota but was not accepted. Then, I was selected in GNLU, and I chose it because it is a premier law university that provides one with sports, academics, internships, and all sorts of opportunities. The students also get an opportunity to intern under a professor of their liking, help them is writing their research paper, and are given monthly stipends. GNLU is a member of the CLAT consortium, where one can only get admission through getting a good eligible rank in CLAT or through sports or NRI quota. The overall admission experience is quite smooth. If the student gets selected, they will be provided an opportunity for counseling. After passing it, the student will be required to make a payment to reserve their seat, and after completion of the counseling, the seats are declared, and streams are alloted to the students as per their preference.

GNLU secures future

Likes

College now a metro station named GNLU right next to the college gate and that has made commuting so smooth.

Dislikes

There aren't much fests and activities inside the college.

Admission:

I just gave Clat and with a rank of 453, the best college u could get was GNLU, NALSAR and NLSIU are for top 300 studnets. So, probably the best college I have been a part of. CLAT exams are held in December every year and the results are out in a month or so. As per the ranks colleges are alloted and that is how one gets admission here.

Admission:

CLAT is mandatory and for general students to get admissions in GNLU Gandhinagar rank has to be in top 500. Yes for reserver students such as students from backward class or students with physical disability, students ranked upto 7000 were also considered. Without CLAT score there's no way that one can enter any NLU forget just the GNLU.

I took admitted to in LL.M. in the year 2016. I got admission to one of the topmost NLUs in India i.e. Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar by passing through the CLAT entrance test. The eligibility for sitting for the CLAT PG examination is Bachelor of Laws with 50-55 % marks. One can find the application forms on clat.ac.in. One year LL.M from NLU Gujarat charged me Rs. 1,64,000/-

I gave my CLAT in 2019. I took my coaching from the career launcher in Hyderabad and prepared for the examination. The only eligibility criteria for CLAT is that you will have to finish your 12th standard with a minimum of 55%. A person with reservations has different criteria. Application fees during the time I gave the examination were 4000 per application. The dates are announced by the CLAT committee every year. So you will have to keep a check on the official website of CLAT.

Gujarat National Law University is a premier law school. It boasts a huge campus with an amazing library. I preferred this university because of its reputation and mooting culture. They highly encourage students to moot and increase their skills. You can look up their website. GNLU Gandhinagar offers a 1 year LLM and a 2 year MBA in Financial Management & Business Laws at the PG level.

LLM: The eligibility for admission to the LLM program at GNLU Gandhinagar is that the candidates must have an LLB (or equivalent degree in law) from a recognized university, with not less than 50% marks (45% in the case of SC/ST candidates).

The LLM program is divided into two semesters. The Semester 1 curriculum is divided into 4 groups: corporate and business law, constitutional and corporate law, criminal and security law, and intellectual property law.

MBA: The MBA in Financial Management and Business Laws is a 2-year full-time residential program to nurture the managerial and legal acumen of participants.

The eligibility criteria for this program is that the candidates must have graduated from a recognized university or institute with a minimum qualification in OR with commerce, management, law, arts, science and engineering, except fine arts. Additionally, they must have passed their bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks.

Yes, GNLU Gandhinagar offers a horizontal reservation of 25% of total seats (39 seats) for the candidates of Gujarat domicile. As for the Silvassa Campus, a horizontal reservation of 25% (15 seats) is offered for the candidates of DNH & DD Domicile.

Candidates must pass the HSC/intermediate examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in the case of SC/ST) to avail this reservation.

It carries out courses and conferences for scholars, practitioners and students, apart from publications on economic analysis of contemporary legal issues. It aims to produce quality prescriptions for legislators, regulators and government departments, and to provide clear explanations and guidance to businesses and ordinary citizens alike.

The Centre for Law and Economics at GNLU has always tried to reach out to bright and young minds who have a keen interest in employing economic tools and theories for legal analysis. Some of these efforts can be seen at the CLE’s web page for past events. GNLU offers a Ph.D. degree course in Economics to promote academic skill and research vigor in the fields of Economics and Law.

Each year, plenty of students graduate from GNLU and get the tag of a lawyer. They all are a part of the alumni association of GNLU Gandhinagar. At present, GNLU has around 1,400 alumni. All these former students of GNLU are building a successful career for themselves in various streams.

Darshan Ashwin Trivedi is a well-known alumnus of GNLU. He is an Indian film director and academician, and is best known for his contribution to the Gujarati Cinema. He has worked in some good films like Mrugtrushna, Keri, Lakiro, etc.

In 2022, four graduates of GNLU cleared the exam for Civil Judge in the Gujarat Lower Judiciary. The names of these graduates are- Aditya Gor, Aakanksha Parashar, Prakhar Gautam and Priya Kumari Kala.

These are just some of the names who received their education from GNLU, and who are now building a successful career for themselves.

For applying in integrated LLB courses, candidates must have passed 10+2 with 45% marks. Candidates can apply for LLM course if he/she has done an LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B. /any other equivalent degree with at least 55%in aggregate. Admissions to the LLM and LLB courses are granted on the basis of the merit list prepared as per the marks secured by the applicants in the CLAT. For admission to the MBA program, candidates must have completed graduation with 55% marks and should have a valid CAT score. Equal weightage is given to the CAT scorecard, Legal aptitude test, GD, and the Academic Performance of the candidate. For applying in the Ph.D. course, a candidate should have passed LLM with minimum 55% marks. Admissions to Ph.D. are granted on the basis of the entrance test conducted by the GNLU. Candidates with a valid score in UGC-NET/SLET are exempted from the admission test.

If interested for admission to GNLU Gandhinagar UG/PG courses, you need to appear for CLAT-UG/PG exam respectively. However, admission to MBA is based on CAT exam at GNLU.
