LLM: The eligibility for admission to the LLM program at GNLU Gandhinagar is that the candidates must have an LLB (or equivalent degree in law) from a recognized university, with not less than 50% marks (45% in the case of SC/ST candidates). The LLM program is divided into two semesters. The Semester 1 curriculum is divided into 4 groups: corporate and business law, constitutional and corporate law, criminal and security law, and intellectual property law. MBA: The MBA in Financial Management and Business Laws is a 2-year full-time residential program to nurture the managerial and legal acumen of participants. The eligibility criteria for this program is that the candidates must have graduated from a recognized university or institute with a minimum qualification in OR with commerce, management, law, arts, science and engineering, except fine arts. Additionally, they must have passed their bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks.

Our fees is 1.7 lakhs a year which is more or less the same in almost all the NLUs of the country. Also, NLUs have this mandate that outsiders will have to stay at th hostels mandatorily so the hostel and mess fees for the year is around 1.3 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The yearly fees of Gujarat National Law University is 3,00,000. This fee covers all the tuition fees, hostel charges, admission fees, infrastructure fees, mess fees, and any other expense. For UG students, the total one-time fee is 17000, which is required to be paid at the time of admission only. The tuition fee for all the students except merit-based and NRI students is 120000. At the same time, the tuition fee for NRI students is USD 12,500. The other fee is required to be paid by every student regardless of any quota they belong; Infrastructural fees is 28000, examination fees is 6000, fees for academic facilities constitute 18000, Hostel fees is 24000, mess fees is 36000, and 3000 is for extra-curricular activities. Apart from the above fees, there are no extra expenses that are incurred by the students except when they represent our university in any moot competition or any sports competition. The NRI students have to pay 1,32,000 INR with USD 12,500 as tuition fees and USD 2000 as one-time development charges. The university also provides scholarships to meritorious students under the GNLU Academic Star Scholarship, where the tuition fees are waived. If the student has secured a CLAT rank between 1-20, 100% tuition fee is waived, and if a student secures a CLAT rank between 21-40, 50% tuition fee is waived. The university provides a Rs. 15000 per month stipend to students after graduation who want to pursue their career in litigation and start practicing on their own. This is provided under the GLASS scheme (GNLU Litigation Assistance and Support Scheme).

Fees and Financial Aid:

GNLU is among the top 5 NLUs of the country and the fees is 240k a year for general category students. For SC/ST it ain't much less as it's close to 2 lakhs. On clat rank they do get a lot of benefits but not in terms of fees.

GNLU needs no introduction!!

Fees and Financial Aid:

Fees is reasonable as NLUs can't charge lesser than this. Also, fees had to be paid semester wise so it wasn't that of a burden that a student has to pay the fees upfront. The fees increased drastically post lockdown and unfortunately for two long years, we had to study from home. Scholarships from SC/ST to sports or mandatory Northeast students scholarships were available and many students availed benefit through that.

Law program is a very demanding course and the pressure one faces while studying is very extreme.

Things to know if you are planning to pursue LL.M from GNLU, Gandhinagar

Fees and Financial Aid:

There was a fixed fee structure for LL.M. at NLU Gujarat. They charged me Rs. 1,64,000/- for the full course including accommodation and mess. There is a placement cell in GNLU that brings up recruiters on board to facilitate the students to get good placements.

Our fee has been hiked a lot post covid despite many concerns raised by the students. Our per annum fee currently goes up to around 2,50,000 Rs/-. The cost to study and monthly expense ranges on the needs of the student, but the university provides almost everything, and a student would not have much additional expense other than the university fees. There are many scholarships one can avail of through the help of the accounts department of our university. One can also take part in the research activities of the university and help professors and teaching assistants in the university to get a monthly stipend. These applications are sent by the university administration through the mail, and one can apply through them to avail of these benefits.

GNLU, in collaboration with Khaitan and Co, offers an Advanced Certificate Programme on Capital Markets and Securities Law. The course duration is 50+ hours, and it is delivered in both online and offline formats. The offline sessions are of 24+ hours, and are conducted at GNLU Gandhinagar campus itself. The teaching sessions are followed by an evaluation of the students by the end of the course.

The faculty comprises experts from SEBI and IFSCA, leading Capital Markets Lawyers, Academicians, Investment Bankers and Financial Auditors. The course delivers learning on these topics-

It is taught between December-February for every academic session, and its registrations start in the month of November. GNLU Gandhinagar offers a 1 year LLM and a 2 year MBA in Financial Management & Business Laws at the PG level.

LLM: The eligibility for admission to the LLM program at GNLU Gandhinagar is that the candidates must have an LLB (or equivalent degree in law) from a recognized university, with not less than 50% marks (45% in the case of SC/ST candidates).

The LLM program is divided into two semesters. The Semester 1 curriculum is divided into 4 groups: corporate and business law, constitutional and corporate law, criminal and security law, and intellectual property law.

MBA: The MBA in Financial Management and Business Laws is a 2-year full-time residential program to nurture the managerial and legal acumen of participants.
