My life at ICFAI LAW Hyderabad

Old legislations like TPA. Constituion etc are well taught and electives like gender justice, farmers and breeders right are also well taught and relevant but environment law and related legislation and subjects are all relevent in the corporatebfirel which i think is pointless. Not actual environment law is taught, but the aspect beneficial for the corporates is taughts.

There have been excelent campus placements from our college where people have gotten a starting offer of 12LPA as a newbie. Students are eligible for campus placement only in their last semester. If students want to work in their 4th year, they dont provide them attendance for work and are hence unable to pursue serious work. Out of 300 students in a batch, an approximate of 70 people get placed every year. With regard to internships, however, one has to find their own internship. We are given mentors for help in this area but they can only do so much as share lawctopus links that i can find myself. I plan on getting my degree and pursue LLM abroad.

I have been a student at ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad. The college offeres opportunities in various clubs, transport facility for 24k per semester, a fee of 1,20,000 rupees as per semester fees. Hostel facility and mess is also available along with a general store, all xerox related facility with a 24/7 clinic facility, all in campus. In addition to the above, they have a buggy/cart facility to transport students within the campus and an on campus ambulance as well.

Ecery odd semester has the moot court competition organised, NJYS and even semester has ICON (MUN) AND Lex-Knot (law events and other events). All these lasts for a span of 3 days where students from other institutions can participate. For this, travel and accomodation along with food is provided to the participants. In addition to the above, the internal clubs keep organizing events every other week to keep the students engaged. The activities range from literary to cultural to academic (national conferences) All these clubs and centers are student run but are run along with a faculty coordinator. Not just this, the campus is home to 2 volleyball and throball ground, swimming pool, basketball ground, 2 tennis courts, a football ground, an indoor stadium for table tennis amd badminton. The college also has 2 auditoriums and 3 conference rooms (whole university including other departments)

I had applied for other colleges but due to family issues, i couldn't go out of my home town for education. I had gotten into symbiosis but i saw the fee structure was too high and no transport facility was provided, then. There was also a safety issue with symbi as there were a lot of drug abuse cases reported. However, the courses thatbare offered in symbiosis are mostly corporate based and i am happy with my current electives as i want nothing to do with the corporate sector. However, i do think that subjects like M&A, at my University should be an elective and gender justice should be a core subject.

The newly appointed faculty, around the age of pass out students are very flexible in their teaching ways and will try to help as much as they can. There are 4 exams that happen, they are called non class participation divided as - 10 + 20 + 10+ 50 and the remaining 10 divides as 5 + 5 for class participation and attendance, respectively. There is a 75% attendance policy.

The gym opens at 5am, lubrary is open till 9pm and same with the cafeteria as well. All students are required to be inside the main gate by 9pm and in their rooms by 10pm. Birthday point, area near the QRS hostel and the E&T hostel are mostly crowded at nights. At night, theres pretty much nothing around so its quite safe in comparision to other areas. There are also a lot of loyal dogs in the campus that will protect the students (if fed well)
