About SLS Pune
Symbiosis Law School established in 1977 is affiliated with Symbiosis International University. It is a private law institution that has been ranked 5th by NIRF Ranking 2024 in the law category. The institute offers UG, PG and Doctoral programs in the field of law. The top courses of Symbiosis Law School are BBA LLB, BA LLB and LLB. There are a total 300 seats for the 5-year Integrated LLB program (inclusive of 180 seats for BBA LLB and 120 for BA LLB) and 60 seats for 3-year LLB. - Faculty- We have fully equipped permanent faculty who work tirelessly for development of students and university. Professors come from top NLUs who provide great exposure for budding lawyer.
- Amazing Opportunities- Our college gives a great exposure on national as well as international level. They send contingent for moots and MUNs and reimburse all the expenses required for same.
Dislikes
- Hectic Schedules- Meeting the assignment deadlines along with 9-5 pm lectures and sometimes the internship gets very difficult. There's no time for extra curricular activities.
- Toxic people- As people come from different backgrounds, different states, it gets very difficult and compitative to survive in that environment.
Admission:
SLSP was ranked as NIRF 3 in law schools in 2022, the thing which made me take admission here. Now it's Ranked 5(2024). I had also been admitted to NLU Aurangabad, but that college was new and wasn't even there in the top 10 NLUs. So my obvious choice was SLSP. Our college gives the best exposure which no other college can along with, placements from top law firms like AZB, Trilegal, Khaitan and Co., etc. My CLAT score was not that good so I could only manage to get admission in NLU-A. Talking about the admission process of my college, SLS has its admission exam called SLAT; firstly there was a common MCQ test conducted online in given centers all over India. After getting shortlisted here, one written test was taken where we had to write an essay on a given Current global issue. Thirdly, and the deciding factor was the Personal Interview, the professors from our college take this interview and grill us, they can ask about anything, be it legal or general knowleadge.

Admission:
i gave slat, following wat and personal interview. i applied to DU and certain other colleges however i was passionate about law and knowing that symbiosis would help me grow both personally and professionally, providing embaccable exposure, i was keen to join sls. it has helped me a lot putting me in tough situations at times too and helping me realise what the outside world looks like.

- The best thing is you get a lot of opportunities to network with other people.
- Guest lectures are often conducted where judges and advocates from all over India visit, sometimes even international personalities.
Dislikes
- The curriculum can get very tiring as it demands a lot of your time.
- There is discrimination between the 5 year course and the 3 year course.
Admission:
Eligibility for the 3 year course is a previoous graduation degree in any field. Application form is released on the official website every year in the month of March-April. Applicatin form fee - 1000 rs I did not avail any reservation benefits. The entrance exam AIAT is 1 hour 45 minutes long, conducted online, and it is not very difficult. you just have to be aware of the current legal developments. There is also a personal interview conducted online after you pass the written exam. The admission process is pretty reasonable.

Admission:
Eligibility of the course is to be- 12th Pass. Exam form and other details can be found at official symlaw website. The procedure to crack the exam is, firstly give SLAT the exam is of 60 marks, cut-off varies every year. If the required cut-off is cleared then the candidate has to give a WAT (Written Assessment Test) and also a PI (Personal Interview) which is conducted by the college itself. If the candidate passes all the process he/she would get an admission offer. Weightage of SLAT- 60%, PI- 50% and WAT- 10% The process is quite smooth, the questions asked are a lot related to current affairs

- The variety in choosing optional subjects which increase year after year to make it customized to your future plans.
Dislikes
- Hostel setup is not to balance boys and girls and law students cannot stay there for long.
- Campus is not big and has to be shared with another branch.
Admission:
The college has its own entrance exams which is known as SLAT (Symbiosis Legal Aptitude Test) which consists of legal, Aptitude and language test which is 1.5 hours long. The cutoff is based on the average marks scored by the participants and different for general and SC/ST as well as OBC.

- Good Library resources, a lot of online databases and other things are provided by the college and this one of the few colleges that provide so many resources

- Very small campus. There's hardly any space to hangout
- Fees is very expensive and sometimes you might not be able to afford such high fees
Admission:
You need to appear for the SLAT exams. For that registration forms are usually out 2 months prior to the exam. you can find them on SL's official portals. There is separate fees for the different campuses you choose and then the different courses you choose. So since I chose SLS Pune BA and BBA LLB, I had to pay 1950+1000+1000 respectively. There is a certain reservation for army kids and PWDs. SLAT is compulsory to get admission to any SLS campus. Even through management quota( where you double fees) you have to sit for SLAT.
Admission:
55 percent marks are the minimum eligibility for the exam. The forms and other specific details are easily available on the internet and on their websites. There are specifically a few categories for reserved seats and students can easily avail them. Eg SC, ST, disability, Kashmiri migrant, defense etc.
Admission:
Candidates must pass the XII (10+2) exam by an accreditation body with a minimum of 45% marks (SC/ST 40% for candidates). Students attending the standard XII final exam and waiting for the results are also eligible and must present a certificate of acceptance at the final admission. One can find the application form, application fees, and application dates at official ID i.e. set-test.org Reservation Benefits are availed by the college as per UGC guidelines 2006 SC: 15% ST: 7% Differently Abled: 3% Defense Ward: 5%

SLAT - written; followed by PI-WAT. After clearing the written round, the shortlisted candidates have to book their slots for interviews. Henceforth appear for the PI-WAT process. Thereafter the final list of selected candidates is released.

I like the admission process it was not so hard it is simple. And all can get admission. The admission criteria are to score 80% marks in 12th class then only you will get admission in the college but the college is very good I liked it very much. And its admission criteria are simple than any other college criteria.

Does SLS Pune have uniforms for students?
Yes, SLS Pune does have uniforms for its students. This helps in maintaining uniformity and building discipline among the students of SLS. Upon taking admission at SLS Pune, you will have to wear the designated uniform.
The uniform prescribes a full sleeve shirt in white color with black blazer and black trousers, for both girls and boys. The dress code is strictly black and white. One can also wear a decent Kurta/ T-shirt/ Top in white color, with black trousers or jeans. One can wear casual clothes on Wednesday, but they must be ethnic and mostly Khadi clothes.

SLS Pune is a much older institution, while NLU Jabalpur has very recently come into existence. SLS Pune has a vast alumni network, and a strong industry presence for its legal studies. Even though NLU Jabalpur is a National Law University, it will take quite some time to reach the level of SLS Pune.
Thus, SLS Pune is a better institution in comparison to NLU Jabalpur.

SLS Pune Admission to BA LLB (Hons) / BBA LLB (Hons) is based on merit in the SLAT conducted by the institute itself. Candidates can apply for SLAT through the steps mentioned below:

SLS Pune may not offer Law courses in online mode. As per the regulations of University Grants Commission, the law courses can not be offered in online mode.

Diploloma in Tax Law available
SLS Pune does not offer Diploma in Tax law to the students. Instead, it offers Diploma in International Business Laws and Corporate Laws to the students.

The first year fee is INR 4.35 lacs. The second, third, fourth and fifth year fees are the same INR 4.15 lacs.
The registration for the AIAT 2024 will be start from March, 2024 for the academic session 2024-25.
You need to appear for and pass AIAT exam with valid scores for taking admission to LLM.
Admission to SLS Pune is done based on SLAT and the registration for the same will be held by April 2024.
The last date to regiter yourself for LLM is in June 2023. You can apply by visiting the official site of the college.
