SLS Pune gives the best experience!!

Likes

Our college hasn't just produced lawyers but some of them have gone on to become judges as well.
Many judges come for our felicitation and award medal to top students.
Internships in top law firms be it Trilegal or Khaitan our college has a quota in those.

Dislikes

Very small campus and I wish our campus to be relocated in Lavale.

Admission:

I always wanted SLS Pune and therefore I rejected NLUs like NLU Jodhpur and GNLU Gandhinagar. I was getting admission at both these places but i chose not to as SLS Pune is way ahead of them. SNAP is what helps you get admission here and some management quota seats too are there.

SLS Pune is run systematically!!

Likes

Probably the only college which has its internships tie-ups with best law firms like the Khaitan & co, and The Maheshwari & co, among others.
The only college where even after a batch size of 500, nearly half the students are placed.
Definitely the only college where students are assisted to study abroad for further studies.

Dislikes

Ahead of NLUs in many aspects but campus size as our campus is quite tiny.

Admission:

I applied for NLUs but obviously I needed the top ones. Since, I couldn't get those, i switched my priorities to best private institutions. Christ and Symbiosis and also the ICFAI were among those. I can consider myself lucky as in private universities I got the best college in SLS Pune, which I got after clearing SNAP Test.

SLS Pune is the most splendid College!!

Likes

The cosmopolitan culture at SLS is better than that of any NLUs.
We are taught in such a way that half the students from here go to the United States or United Kingdom for further studies.
Not just law but students here also prepare for judiciary and other government exams like UPSC and all too.

Dislikes

Well I didn't like the campus much as there's hardly any outing space available at the campus.

I got admission in many NLUs as my CLAT AIR was 458 and I could have got NLU Jodhpur or GNLU. However, my first choice was NLSIU and next was Symbiosis for which one has to give SNAP ( Symbiosis National Aptitude Test). I was 41st ranked studnet in SNAP and therefore I took admission here.

SLS Pune is more than Superb!!

I don't think even NLUs have such cosmopolitan culture like SLS Pune has.
We are taught in such a way that many students from our college go to study in the UK or the US for further studies.
Our students commentaries have been published about Bankruptcy Code and Insolvency.

Dislikes

Just one stand alone building in terms of infrastructure.

Admission:

Symbiosis has their entrance program for most of UG colleges and likewise our college had an entrance. Nearly 240 is intake every year here and so imagine out of almost 100k students that gives the entrance to get admission here only a few end up getting admission here as that is the only way to get admission here.

Symbiosis legal life in a nutshell

Likes

The symbhav is the epitome of the whole symbiosis university
The faculty is really supportive and helpful when it comes to knowledge and aa assignments
The seniors are utterly helpful and never refuse to guide

Admission:

The admission process required a personal interview along with a writing test which i aced since I was prepared beforehand with all the current affairs topic. The main reason for taking this college was since I wanted to be independent and always wanted to live in Pune

Overview of symbiosis law school pune

Likes

Its faculty member are really nice they actually do infact guve great kecture which are very easy ti understand
They way they keep on giving various extra curricular oppurtunities via rmail

Dislikes

The attendance citeria that is set i am not a great fan if that
Also internal politics during interviews for cell selections

Admission:

I choose symbiosis law school Pune because of how competitive it is to get in this college for my course and also it is ranked as a number four in NIRF ranking and also due to what I've heard about the faculty members and its placements. I also had people who are in the college and they suggested me that their placement rates are very high, which it indeed is.

Honest Review for SLAT aspirants

Likes

Faculty- We have fully equipped permanent faculty who work tirelessly for development of students and university. Professors come from top NLUs who provide great exposure for budding lawyer.
Amazing Opportunities- Our college gives a great exposure on national as well as international level. They send contingent for moots and MUNs and reimburse all the expenses required for same.
A good Campus Life- For the person who wants a campus life, SLS is the place. A perfect place for everything.

Dislikes

Hectic Schedules- Meeting the assignment deadlines along with 9-5 pm lectures and sometimes the internship gets very difficult. There's no time for extra curricular activities.
Toxic people- As people come from different backgrounds, different states, it gets very difficult and compitative to survive in that environment.

Admission:

SLSP was ranked as NIRF 3 in law schools in 2022, the thing which made me take admission here. Now it's Ranked 5(2024). I had also been admitted to NLU Aurangabad, but that college was new and wasn't even there in the top 10 NLUs. So my obvious choice was SLSP. Our college gives the best exposure which no other college can along with, placements from top law firms like AZB, Trilegal, Khaitan and Co., etc. My CLAT score was not that good so I could only manage to get admission in NLU-A. Talking about the admission process of my college, SLS has its admission exam called SLAT; firstly there was a common MCQ test conducted online in given centers all over India. After getting shortlisted here, one written test was taken where we had to write an essay on a given Current global issue. Thirdly, and the deciding factor was the Personal Interview, the professors from our college take this interview and grill us, they can ask about anything, be it legal or general knowleadge.

i like the environment, opporutnities provided to us and mainly the exposure as a law student.
cells, committees, competitions all gives us a good heads up.
faculty and library. teaching ways are too good.

i gave slat, following wat and personal interview. i applied to DU and certain other colleges however i was passionate about law and knowing that symbiosis would help me grow both personally and professionally, providing embaccable exposure, i was keen to join sls. it has helped me a lot putting me in tough situations at times too and helping me realise what the outside world looks like.

My College Experience: Symbiosis Law School, Pune

Likes

The best thing is you get a lot of opportunities to network with other people.
Guest lectures are often conducted where judges and advocates from all over India visit, sometimes even international personalities.
The faculty is pretty understanding and helpful

Dislikes

The curriculum can get very tiring as it demands a lot of your time.
There is discrimination between the 5 year course and the 3 year course.
There are way too many subjects taught in each semester to cope up.

Admission:

Eligibility for the 3 year course is a previoous graduation degree in any field. Application form is released on the official website every year in the month of March-April. Applicatin form fee - 1000 rs I did not avail any reservation benefits. The entrance exam AIAT is 1 hour 45 minutes long, conducted online, and it is not very difficult. you just have to be aware of the current legal developments. There is also a personal interview conducted online after you pass the written exam. The admission process is pretty reasonable.

Likes

The faculties at my college are really experienced and teach well
The opportunities college provides in terms of mooting

Dislikes

The placement opportunities could be better
The college could improve opportunities for academically weaker students

Admission:

The students need to clear and exam called slat and then also clear an interview round. All details for the same are available on the website of symbiosis law school. The exams and interview rounds are not very difficult to clear as compared to clat
