Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is a standard Bar Council-mandated curriculum, but the thing that sets NALSAR Apart from any other law school is its electives, which encompass various areas of law and also lead to wholesome development of the students.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college offers internships through the Internship Coordination Committee, in the third and fourth years, all the top law firms easily give internships to NALSAR Students. The task of a law intern are quite standard, usually its a lot of research and some writing as well.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are usully held in the 5th year (9th Semester). But students are offered internships in the 3rd and 4th years and some students are offered Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) before placements itself. NALSAR has had a 100% placement record for a long time now.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is almost 3 Lakhs per annum, and the increase is about 10,000 per annum. There are financial support systems and programmes available for students from backward communities and also for students from the EWS families.

Campus Life

4

NALSAR hosts upwards of 10 fests every year. We have one fest for every region of India, like Awadh Magadh, Rajastani Fest, East fest, west fest, telugu fest etc. there always parties on a nd around campus. Overall it is very happening. The students run the SBC, or the Student Bar Council, which is an elected student body comprising of many committees, all of wwhich are elected by the students as a whole.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel is decent. The food in the mess is also decent. There are 4 eateries in the campus and there are also various restaurants and cafes around the campus as well. The Hostel is mandatory for all, it is a fully residential programme.

Admission

The Entrance is through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Since NALSAR is one of the country's premier institutes, the cutoff is quite low, at around All India Rank 200. CLAT is usually conducted in december every year.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty-to-student ratio is overall not very bad; the faculty are mostly qualified, they are mostly individuals with vast amounts of experience and NALSAR is one of the best law schools in the country and the faculty do live up to the standard as well.

our Internships and grades as in law studies everything matters. Some students dont do internships on purpose and those students dont get placements even though they are at NALSAR. Students who have done all of it get placed easily with a package of 15 lakhs or more.

The best thing about NALSAR is that not just law firms but also the best of corporate houses like the E&Y group, Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro and many such companies come and add lawyers in their decorated legal team. Around 80% of the students are placed through campus and average salary is a dream one as no one offers a law student 12-15 lakhs can only happen at NALSAR.

Placement Experience:

There have been excelent campus placements from our college where people have gotten a starting offer of 12LPA as a newbie. Students are eligible for campus placement only in their last semester. If students want to work in their 4th year, they dont provide them attendance for work and are hence unable to pursue serious work. Out of 300 students in a batch, an approximate of 70 people get placed every year. With regard to internships, however, one has to find their own internship. We are given mentors for help in this area but they can only do so much as share lawctopus links that i can find myself. I plan on getting my degree and pursue LLM abroad.
