On September 4, 2025, Delhi University launched its Scholarship Scheme (FSS) for the academic year 2025-26, offering up to 100% fee waiver to eligible UG and PG students from low-income families. Apply before September 23.

Delhi University has rolled out a new round of its Delhi University scholarship (DU FSS 2025-26) to assist bonafide students from economically weaker sections.
Managed by the Office of Dean Students’ Welfare, the initiative provides fee waivers in two categories based on family income brackets.
The scheme is part of the university’s broader efforts to make higher education more accessible and affordable for diverse learners across its departments and centres.
Eligibility Criteria and Fee Waiver Details For Delhi University Scholarships 2025-26
According to Delhi University, the DU fee waiver scheme is open to all full-time bonafide students enrolled in undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) degree programmes offered by its departments, centres, and institutions.
However, those pursuing B.Tech or the Five-Year Integrated Law programme are not covered under this initiative. In addition, students carrying an Essential Repeat (ER) in any previous examination will not be considered for the scheme.
The level of fee support depends on the student’s annual family income. DU has introduced two categories of financial aid under the DU scholarship scheme 2025-26, as shown below:
Category | Annual Family Income | DU Fee Waiver Percentage | Maximum Waiver Discount |
Category 1 | ≤ ₹4,00,000 | Up to 100% | Actual fee or up to ₹15,000 |
Category 2 | Between ₹4,00,001 and ₹8,00,000 | Up to 50% | Actual fee or up to ₹10,000 |
Required Documents and Application Process For DU Scholarship 2025-26
Applicants must provide a set of self-attested documents along with their application form. These include a valid EWS or OBC-NCL certificate, or alternatively, an annual family income certificate issued by a competent authority after March 31, 2025.
The university has clarified that income certificates signed by a notary will not be accepted for DU FSS 2025-26. Candidates are also required to submit the latest income tax returns for the financial year 2024-25 of their parents and eligible siblings, along with copies of their PAN cards.
In addition, students must attach a signed undertaking form in the prescribed format, as well as a bonafide certificate verified by the Head or Director of their respective Department, Centre, or Institute. Academic documents such as the mark sheet of the last examination passed and the latest DU fees receipt must also be included.
For banking details, the university has asked for either a copy of the student’s passbook showing their name, account number, and IFSC code or a cancelled cheque.
After completing the online submission, candidates are required to print the application form, get it attested and recommended by their Department or College head, and submit the hard copy with all supporting documents to the Office of the Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW).
