Presidency University Bengaluru is accepting applications for its January 2027 PhD programme. The last date is 17 November 2026. For BTech, BBA, BCA, law and MBA, the available admission details still belong to the 2026–27 intake. BTech applicants can use JEE Main, KCET, COMEDK or the university's own assessment, depending on their seat category. Other courses have different entry requirements.
Admission update: The PhD entrance test and interview are on 12 December 2026. Presidency has not given 2027 dates for its regular UG and PG courses. Applications usually begin in January, so students planning for the 2027 intake can watch for forms around January 2027.

Presidency University BTech Admission and Eligibility
BTech CSE requires 45% in Class 12 Physics, Mathematics and an accepted third subject, or 40% for the applicable reserved category. Third-subject options include Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology and Biology.
Presidency’s older general BTech rule says 60% overall, while the newer CSE rule says 45% in the required subjects. Students with marks between these levels should ask the Admission Cell which rule applies to their branch and seat category.
Presidency offers CSE, Information Science, ECE, Electrical and Electronics, Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace and other BTech branches. In 2026, COMEDK counselling offered seats in 13 Presidency branches. COMEDK applicants choose branches during its counselling and must meet its allotment and payment deadlines. Students applying directly to Presidency follow the instructions in their university offer.
Eligible diploma, BSc and vocational-course students can apply for direct entry to the second year of BTech.
BBA, BCA, Design and Law Admission
BBA and BCA require 40% in Class 12 under the 2026-27 course rules. An older general requirement gives 50%, so applicants near these levels need confirmation from the Admission Cell. BBA options include business analytics and aviation.
BDes Product Design requires at least 45% in Class 12, or 40% for the stated reserved category. Arts, Commerce and Science students can apply. Presidency also offers Communication, Fashion, Space and Game Design. The entrance assessment depends on the chosen course.
Five-year BA LL.B. and BBA LL.B. require 45% in Class 12 for the 2026–27 intake. BA LL.B. accepts CLAT, LSAT or PAT scores. Students who are above 20 years old on 1 July in their admission year may need to give an undertaking under the university's law admission rules. An outside entrance score does not replace the university application.
MBA, MTech and Other PG Admission
MBA applicants need a bachelor's degree of at least three years with 50% marks, or 45% for the stated reserved category. Presidency accepts management entrance scores including CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, KMAT and PGCET. The university may call an applicant for another test or an interview before deciding admission. These are the 2026–27 conditions; the 2027 intake rules are still due.
MTech applicants need a relevant engineering degree with at least 50% aggregate, or 45% for the stated reserved categories, and an accepted entrance score. MCA applicants need an eligible bachelor's degree with Mathematics and the required entrance assessment. The accepted degree and exam depend on the specialisation.
Presidency University PhD Admission: January 2027
Presidency is taking January 2027 PhD applications for full-time and part-time study in engineering, science, management, design, media studies and other fields. Applicants need at least 55% in a relevant master's degree or an equivalent grade. Selection includes a written test and an interview.
Applicants with UGC-NET, joint CSIR-UGC NET or another research score accepted in the January 2027 rules can skip the university's written test. Certain BITS, VIT and MAHE PhD entrance scores also qualify. They must submit the scorecard and attend the interview.
How to Apply and Accept an Offer
Applicants register with Presidency, verify their email, choose a programme, upload documents and pay the non-refundable application fee. Admission decisions go to the registered email. KCET, COMEDK and PGCET applicants also complete the counselling for their seat category.
Presidency normally replies within 15 working days after receiving a complete form. It may offer a seat, call the applicant for a test or interview, or reject the application. Selected students must pay by the dates in their offer. Students waiting for Class 12 results can begin the form, but must submit their final marks and proof of passing by the required date. PhD applicants use the separate January 2027 form.
