The GATE 2026 was conducted by IIT Guwahati for all 30 subject papers on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The GATE 2026 Response sheet, along with the provisional Answer Key and Question Paper, has been released on 22 February 2026 on the GOAPS portal.
Candidates can download provsional answer key of GATE 2026 at gate2026.iitg.ac.in using their enrollment ID and password.
- The Candidates can now calculate their score, estimate their percentile and their possible chances of the colleges even before the GATE results are announced.
- The GATE 2026 objection window will remain till 1 March 2026 (tentative).
The GATE 2026 result will be declared on March 19, 2026, and the scorecard will be available for download from March 27, 2026, onwards.

How to Challenge the GATE 2026 Answer Key?
IIT Guwahati will release the answer key challenge for a specific time. You will be able to challenge the GATE answer key within the time frame provided.
- To challenge the GATE answer key, you must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹500 per question (for Indian candidates) or US$10 (for international candidates).
If the GATE answer key challenge is found valid, the GATE score will be revised. Once all the answer key challenges are reviewed, the final GATE answer key will be published.
