Ques. I want to know when DU CSAS registration usually starts after the CUET result for SGGSCC?

Ans. Usually DU start CSAS registration after the CUET result declare. Results normally come in the first week of July. After that, Delhi University open the CSAS portal where students fill form and choose college preferences like SGGSCC. Then the seat allotment rounds start. So the first exam happens in May, result in July, then the counselling process begins.

Ans. For the BMS course in SGGSCC, Maths or Applied Maths in Class 12 is a compulsory subject. Without Maths, students cannot apply for this course. SGGSCC Admission Process 2026 – Step-by-Step

Appear for CUET UG / PG

First students have to appear in CUET-UG or CUET-PG exam with the correct subject combination according to the course they want. Without a CUET score, admission in Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce is not possible.

Register on DU CSAS Portal

After the CUET result declare, students need to register on the DU CSAS portal. They have to fill in personal and academic details and also pay the registration fees. If the fees are not paid then the application will not be complete.

Fill Course and College Preferences

The next step is filling preference. Students must choose their course and also select Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce in the preference list. The preference order is important because seat allotment depends on it.

Seat Allotment

Delhi University release seat allotment list in different rounds. Seat allotment depends on CUET marks, category and the preference filled by student. Cutoff also changes in every round.

Upload Required Documents

After seat allotment, students need to upload required documents like Class 10 and 12 marksheet, CUET scorecard, ID proof and category certificate on the portal. If the document is not clear or missing, then it may be rejected.

Pay the Admission Fees

When documents are verified by the college, students have to pay the admission fees within given time. If the fees are not paid then the allotted seat can be cancelled.

Final Admission Confirmation

After all the steps are completed and fees payment is done, admission will be confirmed. Then students can start attending classes in Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (SGGSCC), University of Delhi.

Students also ask

Ques. I want to know if DU give upgrade option after the first seat allotment in SGGSCC admission?

Ans. Yes, Delhi University give upgrade option in CSAS counselling rounds. If students accept the first allotted seat, they can choose the upgrade option. Then the system checks if a better college or course is available in the next round. If marks are higher and a seat is available, the student can get an upgraded seat. This process happens in later CSAS rounds after the CUET result.

Ques. I want to know if I can change course preference after the CSAS preference submission process finishes?

Ans. After DU close CSAS preference filling window, normally students cannot change course or college preferences. So students must carefully select their preference list before final submission. DU give limited time to edit preferences before locking. Once the system is locked, seat allotment will happen based on that list and the CUET score.

THE COLLEGE ALSO PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIP TO ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTION SOCIETY STUDENTS ON A REGULAR BASIS EVERY SEMESTER. the college fees in comparison to other college of Delhi University is a bit higher.

Events organized, clubs and facilities available in the campus

The college professors are also very kindful and helpful towards the students, and we regularly interact with them.

Admission:

The admission process was through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). There were no Group Discussions (GD), Personal Interviews (PI), or written tests as part of the admission process. The competition for admission was intense, with a high cut-off in the range of 690-700 out of 800 marks, which made it quite challenging to secure a seat. To prepare for this exam I didn't purchased any course because ample amount of content is available free of cost on YouTube channels. I didn't got rejection from any college because I only applied for DU and was sure enough to get in, But I can assure that this college is far better than other north campus colleges in terms of academics, discipline, and placements.

I gave entrance exams of IP University and got enough marks to get confirmed admission in VIPS college. But fees and reputation played an important role. DU is considered better than IPU in various aspects. I applied for JIPMAT ( iim jammu entrance exam) but did not get enough marks Then I got admission in this college through scoring good marks in CUET exams.

And i got 728 /800 in cuet so getting colleges above my college was not possible.

SGGSCC: 3 Answered Questions

Which college should I choose for a B.Com Ramjas College, Sri Venkateswara College or the Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce?

Nikita SinghB.Com (Hons) from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University (2019)

It is suggested that you go for Sri Venkateswara College (SVC) or Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (SGGSCC), as both colleges are famous for their commerce department.

They have the best, most experienced faculty with some professors having 15-20 years of educational experience. You will have opportunities to take part in extracurricular activities through clubs and societies. SVC also has the best placement opportunities and has the advantage of being in Satya Niketan, the best college of south campus.

Therefore, your first choice or preference should be either SVC or SGGSCC, followed by Ramjas college.

Which is better for a B.Com honors - Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce or Ramjas College?

Manpreet SinghB.Com Honours from Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, University of Delhi (2022)

Among Ramjas and Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (SGGSCC) it is better if you go for the latter.

  • The student crowd of SGGSCC are friendly and maintain a healthy competition with their peer groups. This is not the same in Ramjas, the crowd here are more aloof and distant towards each other.
  • Being a college dedicated only to commerce, SGGSCC has better placements. They do not have to scatter their focus in all streams like Ramjas.
  • SGGSCC has more culturally active clubs and societies students can take part in which will help in their holistic development.
  • SGGSCC also has a better infrastructure than Ramjas. They have a huge library with 2 floors and fully air conditioned.
  • The auditorium of SGGSCC has theatre seats with AC. Ramjas hardly has any placements for B.Com Hons or Economic Hons.

Therefore it is suggested that you go for SGGSCC to pursue a B.Com Honours rather than selecting Ramjas College.

Which is better: Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Sri Guru Gobind College or Dyal Singh College for a B.Com programme?

Sidharth DuaB.Com hons. from Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, University of Delhi (2022)

According to the reviews online, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (SGGSCC) is a very well maintained institution. They have a proper infrastructure with a good faculty and student crowd. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) is also academically a good institute.

It is suggested that you do not go for Dyal Singh College (DSC) but opt for anyone among the other two mentioned.

Between SGGSCC and SBSC make your choice based on the location. If you belong to South Delhi, Noida or Gurgaon, then choose SBSC. If you are from any other part of Delhi choose SGGSCC.

If you are from an outstation choose SGGSCC as overall living cost in North Delhi is cheaper than South Delhi and you can also stay near North Campus which will help you interact with a much more diverse set of people.
