Course Curriculum Overview

4

Actually it's similar to the professional course I am pursuing so I chooses b.com . The circulum is similar to what's happening in the real world and how business works also the teacher and internship provides real time projects The exams are twice a semister Suggestion - there should be more improvisation on assignments and projects

Internships Opportunities

5

I was offered an internship at IIM AHMEDABAD AND IIT BOMBAY ALONG WITH TRAINING FOR 1 MONTB FOLLOWED BY 3 MONTH INTERNSHIP WITH A STIPEND OF 8000 AND PROJECT WAS A REAL TIME MODEL OVER WORKING OF BUSINESS BUT I DIDNT ENROLLED BECAUSE OF SOME OTHER COMMITMENT

Placement Experience

5

The placement are quite good and better than various north campus colleges because of its speciality in commerce field The companies which visited last year were- Dell IBM Canon Google HP MakeMyTrip and various MNCs Highest package was I think around 18LPA And lowest would be around-5LPA Around 70% student opted for campus placements I am pursuing PROFESSIONAL COURSE(CA). SO B.COM WOULD HELP ME TO GET A good articleship

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying 36000 per year in shri guru gobind college of commerce Delhi University however the fess is low for sikh minority and other reserved category. For sikh minority its around 30000 and for sc/st its around 20000

Campus Life

4

DIWALI MELA , DU FEST , WINTER CARNIVAL ARE THE MAIN EVENTS OTHER THAN THESE THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPETITION AND EVENTS HAPPENING AROUND THE YEAR THE LIBRARY IS BEST PART OF CAMPUS BEING SO SPACIOUS AND HUGE SPREAD OVER ALONG WITH VARIOUS BOOKS ON ALL COURSES AND RELIGIONS ALSO THERE ARE SOME SPECIAL ANTIQUE BOOKS TOO. ALL THE CLASSES ARE AIR CONDITIONERED AND HAVE PROJECTORS ALSO THE COLLEGE HAVE ITS OWN APP SMARTPROF FOR STUDENTS TO CHECK THEIR ATTENDANCE CLASSES AND SCORES THE ARE VARIOUS STUDENT RUN GROUPS SUCH AS PRAKRITI ENACTUS ROTARACT

Admission

I applied to all the Delhi University college and sggscc was at 10 place for bcom . And I applied for BBA at IPU but DU has its own value that why I prefered DU over IPU. I DIDN'T GET REJECTION BUT I JUST SECURED THE ADMISSION IN ROUND -1 ONLY THE ADMISSION PROCESS IS SUMPLE

Faculty

4

The faculty students ratio is between 1 to every 15 student . Also the faculty is quite approachable they even help by giving extra time to solve our doubts and have provided their phones to connect with them on WhatsApp. Our English teacher latika ma'am is best she provides all the study material and explain each topic in details Our Busniess organization and management teacher is quite strict and rude sometimes he is not really approachable Each semister there are 2 exam one is mid term and other final exam followed by various assignments and class tests also student really need to focus in class If they want to study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the BCom Hons course curriculum at SBSC around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. One of the main reasons I chose this course was because it offers a good mix of commerce subjects like Financial Accounting, Business Law, and Corporate Law, along with exposure to Economics and Management, which seemed useful whether I go for MBA or competitive exams later. The first-year subjects felt more like a base, but from second semester onward it started to get a bit more practical. Each subject has 25 marks for internals and 75 for the main exam. Most exams are 3 hours long and subjective, and I’d say the difficulty level is moderate. If you’ve been regular with notes and study the past papers, it’s not hard to pass, but getting 8+ CGPA requires consistent effort. Overall, the curriculum gives a decent foundation but it could be way better if more practical components and industry exposure were added.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of our college is good and helpful for our future and also add Value in our CV but some subject like art of being happy and EVS are so much better because there is no any reason that they help us in future and also our exam timing is good it done in every 6 month and between 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
