- The college does not have a hostel for male, it only has for female
- The teaching methodology can sometimes lean heavily on theoretical aspects without sufficient focus on practical applications, which can be challenging for students looking to build different skills for careers.
- College has a cricket ground which is not open for students as it gives it on lease
Course Curriculum Overview
my course perfectly aligns with if u want to pursue ca, it also involves using practical applications like tally for preparing accounts and analysing them, the course is quite easy as compared to other courses like economics hons
Internships Opportunities
they are lot of internship opportunities shared in the official group of placement cell which includes roles like business development inteern, sales team, legal, digital marketing, stipend ranges from 6k to 20k and internship opportunities are both hybrid and remote
Placement Experience
students are eligible from 5 semester and the companies visited here includes popular names like delloite, kpmg, de shaw co. etc. highest package was 22 lpa last year and average was around 5.5 lpa, more than 390 offers were made out of which 350 got placed, i am planning to do mba after this degree
Fees and Financial Aid
My annual fees is 34770, there is no sc/st/obc quota in the college as it is a sikh minority college, the fees for sikh minority is also same as general. However some scholarships are available in which candidate has to compete with others to obtain the scholarship and eligibility is the family's annual income
Campus Life
since its a part of delhi university we can visit any college fests and competitions after registration which makes the college life vibrant, our libraries are equiped with smart equipments like opac, sports facilities include basketball court, shooting range, table tennis, badminton court, cricket ground, volley ball etc.there are a lot of societies in the college which makes the college life more fun.
Admission
i chose this college as i scored good marks in cuet and got this in merit, this is a government college and the other colleges i was getting were private colleges in which fees were exorbitantly high and there by making the roi worse. also its near to my hometown which makes it perfect for me
Faculty
SGGSCC has a reasonable faculty-to-student ratio although it varies by course and year. Generally, there is adequate attention to students in classrooms, with most classes having around 40-60 students. Faculty members are approachable and open to queries which contributes to a supportive learning environment. Exam consists mainly continous assesments, internal assesments, midsems and endsems
Night Life
our college has a gym and library however they both close at 4 p.m. which makes it difficult to stay in the colleges till late, hostel timings for girls is last 8:30 p.m. outside college we have pacific mall which is only about a km away from college there we go to hangout
