Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is crucial because it tells teachers what to impart knowledge, what level of depth of understanding is required for that particular grade, and how to finish the year on time. Instead of emphasizing information alone, curricula should emphasize what can be done with it. I wouldn't remove any anything since without context, it is impossible to draw sound, well-informed conclusions. My goal is to become a dietitian, which is why I chose this course. I made my decision for that reason. Although I think the teaching approach was effective, speak gently because they tend to talk quickly. Exam papers can be finished in three hours, but DU allows us only a few months to finish our syllabus. I finished the entire course in three months, but I had a practical and tests the following month, thus DU has to extend the exam period.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum's focus on fundamental concepts like classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, and thermodynamics attracted me. Additionally, the integration of practical lab work and problem-solving in real-world contexts is appealing as it ensures a balanced understanding of theoretical and experimental physics. Introducing more computational tools and simulations would help students understand complex concepts better. Moreover the exams are held at regular intervals with proper time space in between. no need to worry

Delhi University: 6 Answered Questions

How is Swami Shraddhanand College of DU?

Sherina PhutelaStudied at Swami Shraddhanand College,University of Delhi

Swami Shraddhanand College is located on North Campus. Because of its location and management, it cannot be compared to any other DU college.

However, when you consider the foundation of a college, namely education and extracurricular activities, in terms of education, SSNC's History Department ranks among the top ten in Delhi University for some specific courses, along with the courses like Microbiology, Life Science, Botany, and Geography, SSNC. Aside from that, there is the well-known Cricket team, which has been a champion for the past decade or so.

How good is DUs Satyawati College?

Prajwal TiwariStudied at Satyawati College, University of Delhi

Satyawati was a part of the Delhi University campus before it was relocated to Ashok Vihar.

When you are admitted to one of the DU colleges, you place a high value on education. There are many amenities in college that other colleges do not have, one of which is the Largest Auditorium at DU.

It's a good college with friendly students. The seniors are helpful. There are numerous co-curricular societies to which one can belong. Ragging is prohibited at the college because of the anti-ragging policy. Except for a few, the teachers have extensive experience and training. The building's infrastructure is adequate, and the classrooms are also spacious. There is a fantastic library as well. The canteen is excellent. The ground is in good condition and is well-maintained.

Is Ramanujan College DU a good choice?

Mrunal KapoorStudied at University of Delhi

It would be an excellent choice. It became an independent morning college in 2013, and its growth has been phenomenal since then. Ramanujan College has it all: amazing campus life and a fantastic learning environment. NAAC has awarded it a Grade A++ and a GPA of 3.71. According to the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2021, it is also ranked 53rd in the college category, with an overall score of 54.68.

Here are some distinguishing characteristics that set Ramanujan apart from the crowd:

  1. Excellent Location: The college is in a prime location in Kalkaji, close to Epicuria, McD, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, and other restaurants. You will never run out of places to party.

  2. Societies: This section is the college's true treasure. JAZBA, NSS, DNA, Shivranjani, Tark, TATVA, and other societies have always made the college proud.

  3. Experienced Faculty: Friendly and cooperative.

  4. Infrastructure: The building's infrastructure distinguishes it from all other DU colleges. The college has the best infrastructure in DU, with all modern amenities.

  5. Crowd: It's almost a nurturing environment, with seniors eager to assist and juniors willing to collaborate. The college environment is always pumped up with some event, campaign, rally, or other activity that inspires students.

Go ahead and enroll in Ramanujan College if you're interested in that now. You will never be regretful of your choice. You'll be presented with numerous opportunities here; all you have to do is seize them wisely. Ramanujan, as the name implies, has an excellent academic record, but the authorities are extremely strict. You must have a certain percentage of attendance in order to take the semester exam.

How good is Indraprastha College of DU in reality?

Sanjana SinghStudied at Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi

Seeing hundreds of girls daily can be overwhelming if you attend a co-ed school. But you'll get used to it. Despite its proximity to North Campus, it is no less than an off-campus college. The typical North campus atmosphere is missing. However, Kamla Nagar and GTB Nagar are only a few minutes away by autorickshaw.

The college canteen is not that good. It's vegetarian, and the menu isn't particularly appealing. The chole kulche and chaats available outside the college are tasty. Rolls Club, located near the metro station, serves delicious Chilli chicken rolls.

The professors, like all other DU colleges, are uninvolved concerning what you do outside of class. However, keep your attendance above 40%, at all costs. There are no language restrictions. If you don't understand something in English, teachers are willing to teach you again in Hindi. Most professors, at least.

In a semester, each paper has only two exams. There are no class tests otherwise.

There is no AC, only fans. You can go to the library for AC during your free period. The library is phenomenal for a government college. It has three floors with a lift and an online system to determine where books are kept. There is an ICT lab with internet access.

You must make your own college life enjoyable. You will meet many incredible women who will inspire you with their grace, intelligence, courage, speaking abilities, and pure hearts.

Is a BA programme a good course if I do it from DU?

Neha Rani
Prakriti RainaLLB from Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi

BA at DU can be BA (Program), BA (Hons), and in Honors, you can take the specialization course in Economics, Political Science, History, English, Hindi, Geography, and so on.

Furthermore, if you expect to get a higher percentage in BA courses, you are mistaken. Students at Delhi University typically receive very low grades. The average score is between 51 and 58%. It would not surprise me if someone became a University topper with only 58% of the marks.

So, just for the DU brand, choose the BA program and if you want to work in the civil service, you're on the right track.
