Shri Govind Guru University, commonly referred to as SGGU, is a public state university established in 2015. It is located in Godhra, Gujarat. The University is recognised by UGC and was established under the Gujarat Public University Act 2023. SGGU is Certified by the India Green Building Council. SGGU Admission 2025
SGGU admissions are based on the score in the last qualifying examination. For B.Sc. Nursing, B.Voc, B.A., B.A. (FD), B.A. (ID), B.A. (MCJ), B.B.A., B.B.A. (H.M.), B.Com., B.C.A., B.Ed., B.Des., B.H.M.S., B.H.T.M., B.Opt., B.P.T., B.Sc., and B.S.W. admission: Candidates must have passed 10+2 in the relevant stream from a recognised board with the required minimum marks. For other courses, candidates need to pass 10+2 with Mathematics for B.Arch, 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English for B.D.S./M.B.B.S., and any graduate/post-graduate for the LL.B. course.
For PG Admission, M.A., M.Com., M.Sc., M.S.W., M.B.A., M.C.A., M.Ed., M.Pharm., MPT - Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognised university. For other PG courses, candidates need to pass the LL.B degree for LL.M, the MBBS degree for M.D./M.S. (Medical), the BDS degree for M.D.S, the B.Arch degree for M.Arch, the Bachelor’s degree in Design for M.Des., and B.Ed./B.E.I. Ed./D. Ei. Ed degree for M.Ed courses.
For UG Diploma, Candidates have passed 10+2 in the relevant stream from a recognised board. PG Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognised university. Certificate Courses candidates need to pass a 10+2 or a graduation, depending on the course requirements. For Ph.D. admission, a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks from a recognised university (relaxation for reserved categories as per norms).

SGGU Hostel
SGGU's residential complex is home to students from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives. As per our research, the university provides clean, air-conditioned rooms that include an attached bath, on a twin-sharing basis. Rooms are provided with basic furniture and fittings such as a bed, mattress, bed sheets, pillows, a cupboard, storage shelf, desk and a chair. There are recreational lounges for boys and girls separately, equipped with a refrigerator and microwave oven, a TV room, a cloakroom and other utilities like laundry service. Our finding also shows that the annual hostel fees for both boys and girls are INR 6,000.

There is no online information available for the self-financed MSW fee specifically at Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU). However, the total fee for regular PG MSW at SGGU is about INR 33,430 for 2 years.
The candidate seeking admission to 2 year Full-time B.Ed Program should have passed Graduation in a relevant stream from a recognized board of university. To apply for admission at SGGU, candidates need to register themselves first on the official website.

Unfortunately, SGGU Godhra doesn’t offer MBA course to the students.
