NTA has released the JEE Main exam dates for 2025. The exam will take place on 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29th January, 2025 for Session 1. Candidates appearing for JEE Main must carry the required documents to the exam center. NTA has also released JEE Main 2025 exam day instruction along with JEE Main admit card. Candidates have to carry the admit card with the signed self-declaration form of JEE Main 2025 to enter the exam center. It is important to reach the exam center on or before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.

What are the Documents Required for JEE main Exam Center?
According to NTA JEE Main Information Bulletin, the JEE main documents required must be carried and produced to the invigilator on the exam day. Mentioned below are the names of the documents
JEE Main Admit Card
- Print copy of JEE Main Admit Card along with the signed self-declaration.
- It acts as an entry ticket to the examination center and hall.
- The document can be downloaded from NTA’s website (nta.ac.in) OR JEE Main’s website.
- It helps in confirming the applicant's details and approves the candidate to sit for the national level exam.
Self Declaration/Undertaking Form
JEE Main Self Declaration form is attached with the admit card. It consists of details about the health status and travel history of the candidates.
- The form includes a declaration regarding any symptoms of cough, fever, breathlessness, runny nose, sore throat, or body ache in the last 14 days.
- The self-declaration form has details regarding any contact with a Covid positive person in the last 14 days and any travel history in the last 14 days.
Candidates are required to fill and sign the self-declaration form of JEE Main and carry it on exam day.

Passport Size Photo
- One passport-size photograph must be carried.
- The photo should be the same as uploaded on JEE Main Online Application Form
- This photo will be used for pasting on the specific space in the attendance sheet at the Centre during the exam.
Authorized Photo IDs
- Anyone of the authorized i.e. Govt. approved photo ID must be carried.
- Acceptable IDs are (PAN Card/ Driving Licence/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (with photo)/ Aadhaar Enrolment No./ Ration Card).
- Make sure that the IDs are original, valid, and non-expired.
Note : ID Cards issued by Schools/ Colleges/ Universities/ Coaching Centres, AADHAR enrollment receipt without AADHAR NUMBER and PHOTOCOPIES OR Images Stored in mobile phones etc will NOT be accepted
PwD certificate
- Candidates belonging to the PwD category and claiming relaxation under the same must produce a certificate relaying the same.
- The certificate must be issued by the Competent Authority.

Category Certificate:
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) must bring the relevant category certificate issued by the competent authority.
- The certificate should adhere to the prescribed format and include essential details such as caste, sub-caste, and other relevant information.
- Failure to provide a valid category certificate may result in the candidate being treated as a general category candidate.
Ballpoint Pen
- A ballpoint pen is a crucial item to carry to the exam center.
- Ensure that the pen is in working condition and use either blue or black ink, as other colored pens are generally not allowed.
- Pencils and any other colored pens are typically prohibited by exam authorities.
Transparent Water Bottle and Hand Sanitizer:
- The water bottle should not have any labels or markings to comply with exam regulations.
- Additionally, carrying a small bottle of hand sanitizer within the prescribed size limit is recommended.
- These items contribute to a comfortable and hygienic exam environment, ensuring the well-being of candidates during the examination
Prohibited Items at JEE Main Exam Center
Applicants must note that certain items are not allowed in JEE Main Exam Hall. Given below are some prohibited items at JEE Main Exam Center:
- Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material)
- Eatables and Water (loose or packed)
- Mobile Phone/ Ear Phone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, to wear/carry any type of watch including Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room
- Rough Paper – candidates are provided with sheets for rough work and hence NTA does not allow any type of paper inside the exam hall.
- Stationary – candidates will be provided with all the required stationery like a Blue/ Black ballpoint pen at the exam center only.
Important Note:
- NTA will not be responsible for any belongings stolen or lost at the premises.
- If any candidate is in possession of any of the above items, his/her candidature will be treated as unfair means and his/her current examination will be canceled & he/she will also be debarred for future examination(s) & the equipment will be seized

The JEE Main Registration 2025 is the first stage in the JEE Main 2025 admission process. Documents Required for JEE Main 2025 Counselling
Candidates who qualify for the JEE Main 2025 cutoff will be required to submit a specific set of documents during the JoSAA counselling. After successful verification of JEE Main required documents, candidates must report to their allotted colleges for admission with the submitted documents. Check JEE Main Exam Dates
Other than bringing along required documents for JEE Main, applicants are required to follow the guidelines that are mentioned in the admit card. Given below are some instructions to follow:
- Report at the center two hours before the commencement of the exam so as to complete the frisking and registration formalities well before the time.
- The registration desk will be closed 60 minutes prior to the examination.
- Read the instructions on the admit card carefully and follow them during the conduct of the examination.
- Take a seat immediately after the opening of the exam hall.
- Candidates failing to report in time due to any reason i.e. traffic jam, train/bus delay, etc., are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the exam hall. The NTA will not be responsible for any delay
- An attendance sheet must be signed in the presence of the invigilator.
