CSAB NEUT Counselling 2025 FILLING UP OF CHOICES, SAVING, AND LOCKING
Filling up of Choices
All registered candidates, after successful document verification, are required to fill their choices of branches and institutes in order of their preference. The detailed procedure is outlined below:
- Candidates must ensure that pop-ups are enabled on their internet browser before online choice filling.
- All choices (available seat information) relating to institutes, disciplines (Engineering/Technology and Architecture), and branches (e.g., Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) will be displayed. Candidates should check the respective institutes' websites for any special restrictions or criteria and fill only those choices for which they are eligible:
- For example, some institutes may not allow female/PwD candidates for the Mining branch. Even if such seats are visible in the choice matrix, female/PwD candidates should not fill them as their choice.
- Some colleges are exclusively for girls. If male candidates fill these seats and are allotted, CSAB NEUT-2025 will not be responsible for any denial of admission by the college, even with an allotment letter.
- Some institutes may offer five-year programs. The B. Arch. program is a five-year course.
- Candidates should fill in the maximum number of choices in the order of their preference from the available options. Ensure the most preferred program and institute is at the top and the least preferred at the bottom.
- For Pharmacy, separate choice filling must be done through the portal specific to Pharmacy candidates.
Saving and Locking of Choices
- After filling in their choices, candidates must SAVE them.
- Saving choices is NOT the same as locking them. Choices that are saved but not locked can be retrieved and modified later. However, once a choice is saved, previous choices are replaced. Locked choices cannot be modified further.
- Candidates can change, reorder, delete, or add new choices any number of times until they lock their final choices. Choices must be locked before the deadline.
- Once finalized, candidates must lock their choices by following all steps, including entering a password and confirming the lock.
- If candidates wish to edit their choices after locking (before the deadline), they must request an unlock through the CSAB portal. An OTP will be sent to their registered mobile and email to validate the unlock request. Once validated, the choices can be edited.
- After locking, a printable version of the choices and terms and conditions will be displayed. Candidates must download the PDF, sign it, and keep it for their records.
- If a candidate fails to lock their choices, their last saved choices will be automatically locked. Candidates who do not save or lock any choices will not be considered for seat allotment.
