NTA will release the JEE Main session 2 result by April 20, 2026, as per the information issued through the JEE Main official information bulletin.
NTA has declared the JEE Main session 1 results on February 16, 2026. Candidates can download their JEE Main session 1 scorecard using their application number and password.
- The scorecard will include the overall and subject-wise NTA Percentiles, total marks, and qualifying status for JoSAA Counselling & Admissions.
- The JEE Main All India Rank will be compiled and released after the conduct of the JEE Main session 2.
- NTA will release the Topper’s list along with the JEE Main session 2 exam statistics, such as registered and appeared candidates.
JEE Main session 1 results were released separately for Paper 1 and Paper 2A/2B on different dates, i.e., February 16 and February 24, respectively.
SURYATHEJUS S and GOWRI SANKARV scored 100th percentile in Paper 2A and 2B, respectively. And 12 candidates scored 100th percentile in Paper 1.

JEE Main Normalization and Percentile Calculation
NTA conducts JEE Main 2026 in different shifts of varying difficulty levels. Due to this, some candidates may end up attempting a relatively tougher set of questions as compared to other shifts. Such candidates are likely to get lower marks than other candidates.
- To ensure fairness across shifts of varying difficulty levels, a normalization procedure based on the percentile score will be applied.
- Raw score is converted into a percentile score ranging from 100 to 0, indicating Shift-wise relative performance of candidates.
- It indicates the percentage of candidates scoring scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW a particular candidate in that shift.
JEE Main 2026 percentile score is calculated using the following formula.

Where
- “M” is Number of candidates appeared in the ‘Shift’ with a raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate.
