In Mechanical department there are 37 faculty members. All are well experienced and senior faculties and some are among the top researchers of the world. Some notable ones are Prof. Vinyas Mahesh, Dr. Sukumar Pati and others. There are midsem and endsem exams along with a few minors. They are hectic but you,ll get accustomed to it.

The student and faculty relationship is good enough. There are som teachers who are so easily approachable and would guide you through every situation. There are also some who would give you a treat on Teachers; day or buy you pani puri in a stall. But there are some who aren't easily approachable have shot temper and at times make student's life a little difficult. The exams are of three types- midsems (30 marks) class test 10 marks and Endsem 50 marks. The level of the exams depends from subject to subject but mostly remain on the moderate difficulty side.

There are a lot of faculty I have seen. However we can get help from every professor, PHD students and our Seniors also. so overall the help and support is quite good Faculty such as Prof Binoy Krishna Roy, Prof Lalit Chandra saikia ma'am are some of the most helpful professors I have ever meet I think there's no such rude faculty in our college In our college, In each semister there are 3 major tests Midsem, Class test, End sem. Overall moderate, curriculum is quite relevant with practical problems.

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:80 which is considerable as there are two sections for each branch. The faculty student relationship is based on the faculty,if the faculty is friendly then students will find it quite easy to approach them. The faculties which I liked are: Professor of Chemistry,Dr. B.N Ghosh sir who is very friendly and we have a very chilled environment during the class and our professor of Basic Electronics,Dr GS Bhagel is also quite good. I didn't like the professor of Mathematics as we didn't connect that much with sir. Till now ,I just appeared for the midsem exams which were on the moderate side of difficulty level. I found the basic electronics question paper quite challenging as well as the introduction to programming one.

Most of the faculties are good and cooperative. However some of them are very strict and they don't want to give you marks. The faculties are very tough to deal with and they don't give you marks no matter how much you tried they don't give you and labs are very hectic. You have to attend lab every day. *Marking Scheme* Mid sem - 30 Endsem - 50 Sessional - 10 Internal - 10

The faculty is good. The ration of faculty to student is 1:15. Faculty and student relationship is decent, can be called average. All faculties are good in my opinion, sone names being Dr. BK Roy, Dr. AK Goswami, Dr. Asha Rani, etc. There are 3 exams in each semester for each subject, 1minor, 1mindsem and 1 endsem, thus 6 exams for each subject in a year. The exams are moderate to hard, rarely easy. Around 3-4 students fail. The course curriculum is more than relevant.
