- Mess Facility is good and there are so many canteens and food stalls you can have those too
- The placement opportunities are good for branches like CSE and EIE
- If you are i terested in CORE branches there is opportunities for those too

- Infrastructure is not good most of the buildings are old and not maintained
- Classrooms are pretty old and lab facilities are outdated
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is somewhat outdated and it does not follows moders trends though it has subjects you can take but the faculties teaching methods are not that helpful overall it still finds out of place. There are subjects like OS, software engineering which has got some relevance for the core fundamentals of CS but overall its not that great
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to participate for Internship placements from 3rd year and FTE offer from 4th year starting. Overall the placements scenarios are pretty good considering it to be a NIT. The overall highest package goes to around 80 lac plus and the average package lies around 18 to 20 lac for CSE Department. The opportunities are great with companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia coming for on campus opportunities providing agreat experience
Fees and Financial Aid
The college is good it provides good placement opportunities and also provides faa cilitues at a cheaper rates. There is category wise division for each caste system. If you are general and Family invome is above 5 lac you need to pay apporox 70K for each semester, there is family income concession in fees structure too. For SC and ST category the fess structure is about 8K per semester.The college also provides opportunities for various scholarship facilities which you can avail if you have a family income below 8lac.Overall it is good with numerous learning opportunities the college gives with it it helps in the overall growth.
Campus Life
The campus life is great with many campus festivals and events like Tecnoesis and Incandescence where Tecnoesis is the largest Technical fest of NORTH east India and Incandescence veing the cultural fest provinding great cultural stree busters and a integrative environment for all the students and helping them enjoy out their college life.
Hostel Facilities
The Hostel facility of the college is good with proper cleaned bathrooms and toilets and cleanliness is well maintained everywhere by tge workers everyday, there are proper space for the rooms to stay and overall its a great stay considering the govt hostel, but sometimes there are issue of Electricity and LAN Facilities which gets disrupts in Hostels
Admission
Honestly speaking I was interested for NIT Silchar due to its placement packages it provides which is good, as I was able to grab on to Microsoft from this college so I don't think I can get anything more out of this college, so it was overall great experience from the college. I applied only to NIT Silchar and other NITS below that in NIRF I got NIT Silchar abd overall I am gappye with where I am
Faculty
The faculty students relations are good, there are some good as well as bad faculties. Most of them are helpful, the overall curriculum is easy you can study one week before the exam and still get a 8+ SGPA. There are multiple exams during a semester which included End sem, Mid sem and 2 Minors and Assessment or projects depending upon the faculty intuition. Overall the academic experience is good
Night Life
There are gyms, cafeterias and library. The library being the main highlight which is the Asia's largest digital library consisting of temendous amount of books and study facilities, talking of the hostels there is no intime and outtime for boys hostels but for girls hostels the intime is around 9.30 pm and Campus gate intime is around 10.00 pm for every students. There are various hangout zone like the Indie Lake, stadium and a tree house
