Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very much good. Engineering is as such career option which provides many opportunities in life thus keeping this in mind I opt for engineering.The curriculum here makes one able to be show themselves presentable in the real world

Placement Experience

College placement in our college is pretty good .one can appear for placement from 7th semester. Average package in our college is around 4 to 5 lakhs. The maximum package ever to come from Assam Engineering College is 48 lakh

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee is around 25000 which includes tution fee, caution fee, registration fees, admission fees, development fees,lab fees it also includes the hostel fee which is 15000 for one calendar year.

Campus Life

My overall experience in Assam Engineering College is satisfactory I would say. There were many things I heard about Assam Engineering College before I got here some were true others were not. One thing I would say that this college has definitely helped my social life

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is good. As a student I lived most of my life in hostel and this feels no different than other The food the staff the boarders the superintendent all are friendly. Our hostel fee is 15000 for one calendar year And mess fee is 3000 per month

Admission

I chose for Assam Engineering College as it is one the most reputed college in Assam for engineering. Completing my degree from as such college definitely helps me with a nice start in my life. For getting into assam engineering College one needed to appear CEE which is the state entrance exam for engineering Colleges

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1 is to 30 .Most of the faculty members are pretty good and definitely approachable but cannot be said for all of them.3 internal exams are held in each semester and the end semester are also held.

Night Life

Night life in Assam Engineering College is pretty awesome I would say. Fun in hostels late night jamming session interaction with seniors, listening to their stories inspires one to like them.The locality is peaceful as it's in the outskirts of Guwahati

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to participate for Internship placements from 3rd year and FTE offer from 4th year starting. Overall the placements scenarios are pretty good considering it to be a NIT. The overall highest package goes to around 80 lac plus and the average package lies around 18 to 20 lac for CSE Department. The opportunities are great with companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia coming for on campus opportunities providing agreat experience

Which includes BPCL, OIL India Limited,EIL, MECON, BEL, HPCL.. etc .. Top core company also visited here ... Which includes vedanta , jsw , Tata Power, Honda etc . Highest package is 82 lpa which is given by atlassian. Average is 6 lpa I am working in infratech company

Let's have a look what is going on inside NIT Silchar

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are allowed to participate in oncampus summar internship and from. 7th semester starting they are allowed for 6 month internship and Full time roles . There is a Training and placement Cell in our college there are some heads of this cell they are senior professors and it have final year students in senior coordinator position and 3 rd year study as probationary. Students bring the companies which fulfills the criteria of TNP cell and each company have their own eligibility criteria and selection procedure. Mostly companies allows 6 cgpa without any active backlog students . But some high paying companies requires 7 or more cgpa . In 3rd year Cisco , microsoft, public sapiens, Tech Mahindra, Accenture ,Oracle and many more companies visited in our campus and hired good amounts of students for summer internship and mostly offers full time role as ppo to students. In 4th year a lots of company like Novartis, amazon, flipkart,aditya birla, Cisco , Deloitte, oracle,ukg, Motorola, siemens , IBM and many more startups visited college and hired .Some paid 15+ CTC and some 6 to 10 CTC . Almost 40% of students are placed till December this year from each branch . Personally I'm planning for taking chances to get an online internship and then try to go for higher studies abroad in automation and robotics.

NIT Silchar Review: Campus, Career and Career Prospects

Placement Experience:

NIT Silchar has decent placement stat. Approx 75 percent student got placement from campus and they got decent package. In NIT Silchar from 7th semester students are eligible for placement and company comes whole year for recruiting. Approx 100 company visit the college throughout the year. In tech Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart and more companies come. For core L&T, Adani, Tata Steel and more companies come. For service base Infosys, TCS, Wipro will come and give good offer. Highest package will come from tech company and that is 52lpa and average from all companies will lie from 10 to 12 lpa . My plans is that in my 4th year atleast I will get one job. If I don't get job then I will try from off campus or giving paper for government job

Not good at all placements. Worst placement college that is ever been. They couldn't get companies coming to this college after such long times. The only companies which comes gives packeges as low as 200000 per annum. which is worst in these present times.

Admission is based on the scores obtained. admission using their JEE scores, entering through the CSAP round and JoSAA counseling. The college provides category-based benefits for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates. The cutoff marks for the college typically range from 120 to 130 out of 480. Only the top-performing students in the entrance exam are admitted to the college. I was not able to crack jee exam due to my category i got around 91.7 percentile which clears the cutt off marks but i will not be albe to take admission on my desire branch so i didn't took admission on NIT....Read More
