About Assam University
Assam University is a government university set up by the central government in the year 1994. The main campus of the university is situated in Dargakona which is 20 kms away from Silchar city. Assam University is recognised by the UGC, AICTE and AIU. It has 16 schools comprising more than 40 departments .
The university offers UG, Integrated PG, PG, and PhD programs in multiple disciplines on university campuses and affiliated colleges. Assam University is well known for its B.Tech and MBA programs. Assam University Admission 2024
Assam University Admission 2024 is open and is conducted in completely online mode. Admissions to most of the UG and PG programs at Assam University campuses and affiliated colleges are done through CUET examination, conducted by NTA. Candidates appearing for the CUET examination must also register on the official website of the university for admissions. Moreover, Assam University accepts JEE Mains scores for admissions in B.Tech courses. For me it is near my house it is very comfortable for me to go there.and the department of Visual arts is doing quiet well..I have also tired to apply for shantiniketan in Kolkata but I couldn't pass the entrance exam

I choose this as my preferred one, as I was geeting the course, I wanted to study and with the beneficiaries here, it would probably make a good outcomes for me, I thought. The admission process is quite simple based on the eligibility criteria of marks, as merit basis and then cutoffs are decided, from which the students get selected

- I appreciate that the college allow our own clothes and freedom
- The teachers are friendly and you can learn easily
Dislikes
- I dislike that there are less computer in the lab due to that people get no chance to use it if you're not first
- The bus schedule is not consistent and sometimes very late sometimes very early on my part

I applied to another college gc but didn't go to it as it wasn't my first choice my first choice was always assam University I got selected but didn't opt for it as I liked Assam uni first the admission process is very easy you can do it online and very quick and go for completed in real life

- I like the faculty and their behaviour. Teachers are very friendly and provide a good environment for students.
- University campus is very clean. There's not much usage of plastic inside the campus. Also there's a conservation strategy for trees.
Dislikes
- Water scarcity inside the campus. We didn't use the toilet because of water issues.
- Infrastructure issues. It needs to be improved.
Admission:
I only applied to this university. This is 1st of all a Central University, it had a good ranking position before. Secondly, this is the nearest University to my house. We appear for the CUET exam as the entrance exam for this university. There is a certain cut off mark, and you'll have to score more to get into the University. Experience was very good.

- Our college is one of the most attractive colleges of Silchar.
- The landscapes around our college are so picturesque that we click new photos every single day.

- College is yet to make a mark in placements as only 25-30% studnets only get placed.

I applied for Gauhati University but unfortunately I couldn't get through. My marks were lesser than the required cut-off and therefore I had to stay back in my town and study in Silchar only. Our college too have a cut-off and for general category it was 70% and mine were way above that.

I applied to only 2 colleges these are gurucharan college and Radhamadhab college. I got chance in both colleges. But my first preference was gurucharan college and i got chance here so i took admission in this college

- I liked the college compound with proper sanitation and water facilities
- College teaching staff and non teaching staff are very cooperative

- There is no proper cleanliness around the campus
- The auditorium is small as per the requirement based on the students size

I applied for different colleges but GC college provide the best courses among the other colleges in Barak building that's why I choose GC college over the other colleges. No I did not get any rejection from other colleges as my percentage was enough to get admission in all the colleges of Barack belly but I prefer GC college because of their reputation The process of admission in GC college is first of all the 80% seats will be reserved for nonceut student and 20% seats will be reserve for see you to student nonsit students are marked based on their percentage discode in the 12 level and suite students are got admitted according to their mark in cuet

- College canteen..the college canteen was so good . everything is available in the canteen

- Practical room ..the practical room is not so good
- Ragging..some seniors are doing ragging of junior students

I was applied for the dibrugarh university but I didn't get set in the dibrugarh university..but Assam University is also good..Frist of all we need a enrollment number with our details and thn we need 10 and 12 marksheet ,12 pass cirtificate and Bank details..thn we need income certificate for admission in Assam University also 800 rupes for admission if We have income certificate

- The teacher are really concerned about our studies. They take our class regularly and provide us notes which are very important for us , they are really worried about our studies and help us in any problems faced us. The environment is good
- Students are really getting good results studying in the college and the teacher always bless us and take care of our any problems.

- There’s nothing which i dislike about my college. I love everything about my college.
- I can say we dont have a big playground in our college.
